My husband and I went in to All American Ford in Hackensack NJ with a TrueCar.com certificate which they honored. After much negotiating we placed a $500 deposit on a Ford Explorer XLT which we cus Hackensack NJ with a TrueCar.com certificate which they honored. After much negotiating we placed a $500 deposit on a Ford Explorer XLT which we custom built and ordered. Before leaving we asked the salesmen what would happen if we got a lower quote on Truecar.com and were told they would honor it. After 6 weeks we went to pick it up and brought a $549 lower Truecar.com quote which they refused to honor. A few minutes in, they lost power no heat or lights etc. We then spent 6 grueling hours freezing in the dark trying to finalize this purchase. As the paperwork was being drawn up we were told we were getting a $1,000 incentive which they said had already been factored in to the negotiated price something that was never disclosed at the time of negotiating. then we presented a $1,000 cash incentive from Ford that stated it was above and beyond any other rebates which they then said was the same rebate they had already factored in. Next the sale price was not matching up and we were told that it wouldnt affect us and it was not a big deal. As i sat with the finance guy i had to listen to salesmen in the next booth complain about how cheap the dealership was using the F word and complaining that they had no backup generator and wouldnt be sent home. As we were about to sign we had more questions on the numbers as there were discrepencies. During our 2nd conversation with the GM Joe Fisher he stood up said "ou know what I am not going to answer any more questions and i am not going to sell you this car, i think you should leave" he then refused to give us our $500 deposit stating we forfeited it. After I broke into tears and threatened to call the police he hand wrote a reciept. To add further insult to injury they refused to re-install our baby's car seat which they had removed to put in the new car so we were left to try and reinstall it in the middle of a snow storm. it was the most horrifying experience in my 20 years of car ownership. I have made multiple attempts to reach the owner Steve Selman to no avail. More
I just leased my 5th vehichle from this dealership in the last 12 or so years. Never a hassel, never a problem. Great prices, friendly dealers, awesome selection. WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THEM EVER CHARGED ME FOR STUFF THAT I DID NOT AUTHORIZE WHEN TALKING TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER THEY DID TH CHEATS LIARS AND THEIVES. I went to this dealer about two weeks ago to inquire about a new Edge since my lease on my 2008 Edge was about to be over. We loved the car and wanted to get another. The salesfloor was very busy and the Manager, Steve Plunkett ended up taking care of me as no salespeople were available. Within minutes, he offered me one of those "too good to be true" deals. No high pressure, but the ball was clearly in my court. I returned with me wife later that day so she could see the new Edge. 20 minutes later, they wrote the deal. While waiting for the car to get to the dealership (they had to locate the exact one I wanted) I checked with another dealer - the one I got the 2008 from. They said there was no way they could do the deal and suggested that when and if the car got there, the bottom line would change for a number of reasons. Needless to say, we took delivery a few days later. No surprises and we couldn't be happier with the new Edge and All-American Ford. I'm bringing in friends next week - they want an Edge after seeing mine. More
It was a very good experience overall. Went to two other dealerships before All American Ford and none of them could compare. I began my search for an new Ford Edge through the Costco Auto Program. Living in Long Island New York I was disapointed (at first) to find the nearest participating dealer was in Hackensack New Jersey. I Auto Program. I went ahead and asked for an online quote and shortly thereafter was contacted by their internet sales rep, Beny Hristova. Beny was able to find find an Edge with all the features that I (my wife) was looking for. She was friendly and helpful throughout, and quoted me a price that the local dealers could not match. At All American I was met by the dealer's sales rep,Steve Martino. Steve listened to what I wanted and made sensible suggestions for options and programs that were available without being pushy. He walked me through the entire process, and was upfront and honest at all times. The finance officer, Chris, found a great rate for my loan, and he made informed suggestions for warranty and add-on options that were available. In the end I felt that I got good deal and was treated fairly by all involved. I would absolutely recommend All American Ford to anyone looking to buy. More
