In the past I have been to this dealership and gave them a nice review for turning my car around quickly. I also gave them a shout out On the mustang forms and asked local New Jersey area mustang owners and a nice review for turning my car around quickly. I also gave them a shout out On the mustang forms and asked local New Jersey area mustang owners and Shelby GT 350 owners to consider All American Ford at Old Bridge because they know what they are doing and the service was great. This morning I had the opposite experience. I took my Shelby GT350 for an oil change and to have the backup camera replaced due to a recall on that part. The service advisor said it would take them 1 hour to check with parts if they had a back up camera in stock. So I said no worries I will leave the car and pick it up at a later time. I live an hour away from the dealership. When the service advisor called me in a few hours to ask me to pick up the car since the fixed everything I mentioned I wasn’t able to come up right away to get the car but could on Sunday. She said they were closed. So I said I am traveling out of town for 4 days starting Monday and won’t be able to pick up the vehicle for 5 more days but would be there first thing next Saturday. She did not like that response and told me we prefer you pick it up much sooner than that. And then proceeded to use legal language saying if the car is damaged in their parking lot they won’t be responsible for any damages. As someone who owns cars from Subaru, Honda and Mini I have never had a dealer throw disclaimers my way to push me to pick up my car right away. Mind you my car costs $65k which was a big sum for me personally so I just didn’t expect this type of pressure from the service department essentially trying to push me to come right away or else you might be on the hook to pick up the tab that might be caused to your car in our dealer lot. I’m not a lawyer but just don’t expect legalize thrown my way first thing at a service department. Especially after giving them glowing reviews. This was disappointing. Lesson learned. Will have to find another Ford dealer next time. More
