SD We saw your review and were upset about how you felt we did a bait and switch. Tabitha actually had looked up the vehicle in our system and it showed available. The car had not been delivered so she was unaware that the car was not available for purchase. We did have another vehicle year older with similiar mileage to show you and according to Juan you did look at the vehicle. As for follow up, Tabitha did try to reach you the following day and left a message for you. We are glad to know you purchased a vehicle that you wanted at another dealer, and please be aware that at no time was Tabitha or Juan looking to waste your time, time is a precious resource and we value it. Sandra, I did not receive a message though I'm glad an attempt was made to reach me. I don't understand why the sales person can't follow up directly with me rather than revert my case back to the Tabitha. The back and forth is not only discomforting but it involves too much coordination and miscommunication. I was expecting Juan to call me back since he told me he would discuss my offer with the Used Car mgr Ron Patel when he returns on Sunday. (My visit was on Saturday.) I didn't hear from anyone Sunday or Monday daytime. I ended up going with the dealership that kept following up with me for a week after my first test drive. I got the impression that they genuinely wanted to sell the car to me rather than give me the run around. I hadn't heard of dealerrater.com until the dealership I bought the car from told about it and asked me to rate them. It was then that I checked the overall review of the 4 other dealers I visited during my 7-days of research/test driving. I was appalled to see your dealership with such a low overall rating given the number of reviews posted. I know there are always a share of ranters out there, but if that's the majority in your dealership's reviews, that's a genuine problem Advantage Toyota needs to assess. If Tabitha did follow up with me on Sunday and didn't receive a response from me, someone should have called me on Monday. I made my decision on Monday after driving 25 miles past your dealership to Sunrise Toyota in Suffolk County and not getting the car/price I wanted. I could have just as well driven a shorter distance to Advantage and paid you the bank check and balance cash I had in my vest pocket. Also, I suggest your greeters not rely wholly on the computer systems and verify with the sales team on the availability of the inventory. According to Juan, the car sold the day before so I'm surprised that it didn't make it into the system or was mentioned during any cross debriefing done between the greeters and sales team. Advantage Toyota needs a better system. From the remaining reviews, I'm not the only one who see the car they came in for. Well, I appreciate your follow up for my comments Sandra. I hope your dealership rating improves when I look to trade in my car 4 yrs from now. Sicnerely, SD.
