Ma'am, We do apologize that our one conversation with your husband was so tremendously misunderstood when communicated to you. We have 2013 MDXs on the lot, and explained to your husband that we have limited color choices (not the color combo your husband said he wanted) available in the Premium Model only. We were also informed that you wanted to significantly lower your payment, so our most experienced salesman whom has been with Acura 25 years with over 7,000 satisfied customers and has a plethora of client service awards, Vince Stella, made a suggestion that to get to a lower payment you may want to consider the RDX which has been completely redesigned. I'm still not sure how you felt so intimidated considering you were never here, however we do apologize for your negative experience. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Date: Fri, 26 Apr 2013 15:14:28 -0400 Subject: Letter of Appreciation Good afternoon sir, I understand that you are the General Manager of Acura of Pembroke Pines. Just last night I purchased a 2013 Acura TSX, and in February I assisted my mom in the purchase of a new 2012 Acura TSX from your dealership. I understand there are surveys I can take to express my sincere appreciation, however sometimes an email is most prudent. I wanted to let you know both purchases I conducted with the assistance of Robert Mayes, and I can honestly tell you in the 8 car purchases I have made in the last 17 years I have never met a salesman that quite like Mr. Mayes. His salesmanship, unprecedented knowledge of the Acura line, and his ability to meet the customer's needs is beyond superb. The purchase of my new 2013 TSX was in comparison to none other. He got me the best deal on the TSX and the best trade-in for my 2009 Acura MDX. I couldn't be more happy with the staff at your dealership as I have always taken my car there for maintenance and repairs. I haven't checked the reviews of your dealership, because nothing compares to 2 years worth of experience through the encounters I have had with your service department. But if your dealership isn't ranked Number 1 in South Florida, then it certainly should be. I wish I could remember the name of the sales managers that assisted us with both purchases, however they were nothing short of impeccable. I felt that it was important to give back to your dealership by showing my appreciation for both purchases and your sales staff. In response to the above, I did not make an apology nor did I express my pleasure ins the 2013 Acura TSX after revealing that it did not meet the needs of my Autistic child. However, the lack of respect and disparaging remarks by an employee regarding my Autistic child nothing short of astonishing. I have fortunately been able to secure a more reasonable car which accomodates my Autistic child son and fortunately left the Acura family of cars. However, I will note that Mr. Mayes certainly has customer service in mind during his encounters with the consumers, and was completely understanding of my families situation.

As our response on the BBB states: In response to the consumers complaint, I have talked to the sales associate and the sales manager involved directly in the transaction and have determined that at no time was the consumer misinformed or mislead in the beliefs in what would and would not be taken care of in the purchase of this vehicle. The customer was very aware that the vehicle was sold "as is" , and signed forms in accordance with this. He was told the vehicle was in the shop and safety inspected to make sure the necessary safety mechanisms are in operating order. The engine lights as indicated by the customer were not on when the vehicle was sold, nor did the roof have a leak at that time since the vehicle had been put through a thorough wash and detail prior to the customer taking possession and exhibited no water in the interior. The dealership fulfilled its promises to repair what was asked and written at the time of delivery and has gone over and above those requests in many aspects. Any and all further requests will have to be handled at the customers expense except those in writing as indicated on the purchase order signed by the customer. I recommend if the customer has any concerns they wish to deal with we would be happy to assist in any manner deemed reasonable. In simple terms, we cant make a ten year old car new, but I will be glad to assist the customer in resolving this matter in the least expensive possible manner.
