Body shop work done. Had roof of F-150 repaired and repainted. Also had hood of truck repainted. Many imperfections showing through on the roof. Dirt/dust was painted over and now visible on hood. Quality control issue? When I picked up the vehicle from Academy Ford, there were leaves, twigs/branches, bird droppings all over the vehicle...apparently someone thought it was a good idea to park the newly painted vehicle under a tree. After I got home, when I walked around the vehicle after parking it in the driveway, I noticed damage to the truck that did not exist before I dropped it off to be worked on...many new scratches on the body and a door ding from another vehicle now exists on the rear quarter panel of the truck. I called Brian Hunter in the service department immediately and he assured me that some one from the Body Shop would contact me first thing Monday morning, September 23, 2024 to rectify the damage. It is now Wednesday afternoon, September 25, 2024...no call yet. More
The service department at Academy Ford is not only fast and efficient they are transparent with all issues pertaining to my cars. Called ahead to see if they had space to look at a vehicle, was told they had availability, and would be able to look at my vehicle the same day. Fast forward 3 days, my vehicle still has not been vehicle, was told they had availability, and would be able to look at my vehicle the same day. Fast forward 3 days, my vehicle still has not been seen, and the service rep keeps dodging my calls for some reason. The initial reason why my car wasn’t looked at was because and i quote “it was so disassembled that the tech didn’t know where to start.” That sentence makes it sound as if i tired my dash out, along with all of my engine components. The only two items that were disassembled in any way were my front air intake, so that I was able to get easy access to the battery, and my push to start button was pulled out of its normal spot, due to some guy attempting to steal my 2017 Ford Focus RS. The fact that the tech considered it so disassembled that they didn’t know where to start is a huge red flag for me. Those are two components that are both very easily removable, and very easily put back into place. After leaving numerous voicemails, i still haven’t gotten a call back, because somehow magically Mr. Watson (i believe that’s his name) is away from his desk. Every, single, time. I’m attempting to not take it personally, but the treatment I’ve received is making that difficult. I HIGHLY do not recommend this dealership at this time. More
