Went in without an appointment for 20,000 mile check up, went right in and done about an hour later. Superb service, people and quality of work. When Academy didn't have the truck that I wanted on their lot, they cheerfully worked with me to custom order it rather than trying to sell me something that was on the lot. Jackie answered all of my questi lot, they cheerfully worked with me to custom order it rather than trying to sell me something that was on the lot. Jackie answered all of my questions about options and provided documentation. When the truck arrived Quincy helped me check it out. Although I was one of his first customers, he answered my questions, asking other people when necessary. Academy also performed the 100,000 mile tune-up on my 2012 Escape and it's running fine now. I posted a good review before, and that has changed since only good service writer that knew anything about cars is now gone. I bought a car from them because he was so good, but now everything has changed, only good service writer that knew anything about cars is now gone. I bought a car from them because he was so good, but now everything has changed, I brought my car in because oil filter was leaking or around that area was a leak. The original filter was loose. I was a master mechanic and know what I am talking about. The original filter was loose, and filters from factory are tight. this was loose and had oil all over it. So I changed my oil and put new filter on. It was still leaking so I brought it in to Academy. I told them either there is a leak around the area of filter or 2 filters in a row failed, and never in my life have I seen two filters fail in a row. They took car and hours later told me the filter had failed. I asked what was problem with it and they said it had a hole in it. Okay so leak was fixed. This is the problem. I check the work that has been done to my car because I trust no one to do their jobs correctly. I worked at dealers and have seen some crazy stuff that they do. The filter that they claimed had a hole in it was still on my car?? It was Purolator, They said they put Ford filter on which is a white filter. So my question is what are they covering up?? or why did they lie?? Not saying service writers name but they are all pretty much garbage. You should at least know a little about cars or have background in it. I would call him or contact management, but I do not think I would be able to contain myself...I still may contact Ford and report, but I do not have time for garbage in my life and have high enough blood pressure. If I knew old service writer was leaving that dealer I would have never traded in a car I am sure they made a killing on and bought a car from them. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! Update. Academy manager contacted me and tried to make it look like I was at fault. Another thing I brought my car in for was Mustang coyote 2k knock which it had since I purchased new. They said they didnt hear anything, and noise was a loose starter, and said to bring it back because apparently I did not describe problem good enough for service writer or mechanic to diagnose. Now let me tell you I am very anal about my cars and know idiots work on them and if you want anything done right you have to describe it to service writer to the point a child should be able to diagnose problem, and I do not bring my car to get worked on unless it is warranty work or I need tires put on. I do not like people touching my stuff that I know do not know what they are doing! Also I am not an idiot I know the difference between a mechanical knock sound and the sound of say a loose starter which is what they claimed sound was. They want me to bring my car back in to them?? lol What kind of fool do they take me for? The service writer should be fired for lying to me and from talking to manager I will never know where leak was coming from. I mean you used to have to go to a automotive school to be a mechanic or service writer or be certified some kind of automotive background, but apparently that is not the case with this place. I will be contacting Ford, and cannot wait to hear Academy Fords excuse for reason this happened. Cause you know they are going to tell Ford their side of it, and you lie once you are going to lie again...also they have no case other than kissing my feet! If I could give negative stars I would and run away from this place. I wouldnt even recommend buying a car from them either! More
