The waiting space was comfortable also, and the service was handled by shop people in a timely manner. Keep going, you say? Okay...KIA's change to a new brand-identifying emblem was close to the worst branding faux pas I've ever seen. Whenever I see the new emblem on the road I ALWAYS SAY, "There goes another xxxx Kia!." What was the worst automotive faux pas I've ever seen? Chevorlet's Nova (introduced in 1962). Back then, I paid attention to all car models (I'm a 1965 high school graduate). I laughed every time I saw one. Why? In Spanish, "no va" literally and figuratively translates to "No Go!" Nova sold well in America. I wonder how many sold in Mexico, Spain, and South America.... For me, Kia's emblem change equals a bad blunder! I will NOT buy one of these vehicles--new or used--UNLESS my dealer at the time will professionally (body work-wise) exchange the emblem on my new vehicle (at zero cost to me) for the old emblem BEFORE I drive it off of the Dealer's lot.... Excellent service over the years dealing with Coastal Kia. Recently had first service done on my Kia Sportage Prestige. Full service and complimentary for the first service. Rotated tires, minor adjustme Kia. Recently had first service done on my Kia Sportage Prestige. Full service and complimentary for the first service. Rotated tires, minor adjustment to alignment (most probably a factory issue as car driven very little over first 11 months - just made it to 5,000 miles after 11 months). Washed car better than most commercial car washes (at no cost), Facility is modern, clean and sparkling and staff is helpful and friendly. More

$165. towing $2424.40 repair bill, and problem I came in to Kia for returned, on drive home less, than 15 miles into my drive. The towing company said mayb towing $2424.40 repair bill, and problem I came in to Kia for returned, on drive home less, than 15 miles into my drive. The towing company said maybe it will improve with driving, it did, for a day. I couldn't trust that it would make it back to Kia without stalling at a stop sign or when slowing for a corner, and how much more money should I spend? I tried better gas, no change. Since the original issue I brought it in for had no improvement, it must not have been the $2049.95 catalytic converter replacement that was the problem. Per hours on google/Kia forum sites, looks like it is a common issue...no check engine light, no codes thrown at Kia or Auto Zone when I checked it there after bringing it home, and others online also said sometimes it starts right away, sometimes not. Per google it could be a crank position sensor, which is covered in my Lifetime Limited Powertrain CNA warranty, but I hate to spend another $165. to have it towed back to Kia, and really don't know how safe it is to try to drive it in the traffic back to Kia. I don't mind spending a little more money on the chance it might be a less expensive thing that is covered under the warranty, since I just invested $2424.40. In the meantime, I needed a vehicle, so rented a vehicle for a week so I could get to work, and, look at new vehicles. I didn't risk driving it to Wilmington to trade in, and I would have got less that the $2424 I just spent on it as a trade-in, or at Carfax. I might go to the mechanic who is also the towing service, and get a diagnosis, they don't bill CNA, but CNA requires the repair shop call them first, and was told "they really don't like to mess with the 3rd partys" So I might use them still, and I will call while at their shop, that might work, or find another repair shop closer to me than Kia. I know car diagnosis is not cut and dried...but I just spent all that money on a car I cannot use other than very short trips in light traffic very close to home. It is just frustrating. In the meantime, I bought a new Subaru. putting the same amount down on the new car as I spent on the Kia repair bill that did not seem to even slightly fix the issue I brought it in for. The Service Department at Kia has been so good to me over the years, and it is just frustrating. It would have been much more palatable if my repair bill was $200-500, and the original issue I brought it in for, still wasn't fixed. But $2424, plus towing, plus a rental. It stings. It made it 138k miles. We hit that time of plunking down money and still having problems. Inspection is due soon, and it needs tires, so my best bet might be to pray-drive it to the Carfax lot while sticker is still good. Okay, done whining. I'll miss you guys at Kia Service, thanks especially to Sam and Bob:) Thanks for listening. More
