These guys sold me a car with a fraudulent title and aren't stepping up to make it right. Grossly negligent. On 8/11/25 I bought a used Toyota from this dealership for $31,000, fully financed by a lo aren't stepping up to make it right. Grossly negligent. On 8/11/25 I bought a used Toyota from this dealership for $31,000, fully financed by a loan I had prearranged with my own lender. At that time the car bore a free & clear Florida title & there were no issues with the purchase or the product. However, as was subsequently revealed, the free & clear FL title had been fraudulently obtained: it was issued on July 10 2025 on the strength of a counterfeit release of lien letter from the lender in the car's original sale in NJ. As a result, the FL title was cancelled 10/16/25, retroactively breaching the dealership's warranty of title & invalidating our transaction. At the time of the sale to me, Hollywood Kia wasn't aware of the impropriety. However, they were informed of the fraud no later than 10/15/25 & neglected to contact me. As a result, the car was seized from me on 10/27/25 on a reposession order from the original lender, to whom ownership had reverted with the reversion of active status to the title they held. I had no warning & no idea what was happening, and have had to trace everything back starting with the asset recovery company that towed the car. Though not knowing or intentional, the breach of warranty & invalidation of the transaction render the seller responsible for relieving the buyer of all obligation - which in this case means paying off my loan & refunding me for any payments already made. Any business with a truly professional customer service culture would have called me as soon as they were informed by the FL DHSMV that the car's FL title was fraudulently obtained, with profuse apology & payment arrangements already made. Hollywood, on the other hand, entirely neglected to contact me about the issues with the sale, and have made no offers or attempts to negotiate restitution despite their responsibiity in that regard. They have broken off direct contact with me as of 11/19/25 and insist they are not liable for my restitution in the invalidated sale. Though this is a rare situation, the dealership's response clearly shows that customer care after a sale - and making sure their customers come first when irregularities occur - is a low priority for them. I already knew what I wanted and really appreciated that Chevoy stuck to it without trying to push upgrades. The manager was also really supportive and professional. More

I purchased a new car at Hollywood Kia roughly 5 years ago and am the sole owner of the vehicle. Hollywood Kia claims "at Hollywood Kia we are committed to providing exceptional customer service from star ago and am the sole owner of the vehicle. When I called last week to ask questions about an issue with my vehicle, Steve in the service department insisted I had no warranty on my car at all (Kia Corporate said they have no idea why he told me that), told me repeatedly I was not the 1st owner (I am the sole owner of the car since it was driven off the lot), hung up on my twice because he didn't want to answer anymore questions because he had another customer waiting. Then after calling back to complain about Steve, someone connected me to a service Manager who said his name was Jason, who kept cutting me off telling me he's too busy with other customers and will have to call me back because he's helping customers standing in front of him. Heed the takeaway that Hollywood Kia values in-person customers more than a customer on the phone. After I was told another manager would call me back, nothing. I had to follow-up again to ask why my call was not returned and the response was, “I was busy”. My next step was to submit a complaint to the General Manager of the dealership via their TALK TO THE GM online feedback form, but the General Manager is also too busy to respond to a complaint or to reach out to a loyal Kia customer. If this is considered exceptional customer service, Hollywood Kia may need to reassess its standards. Hollywood Kia is clearly not concerned with losing me as a customer, but they have lost a customer and hopefully more potential customers. More
