Your hollow statement about how you “wouldn’t sell a car you wouldn’t give to your [insert every relative and battle buddy under the sun]” is not just laughable—it’s insulting. Let’s be honest: you didn’t just push—you pressured, manipulated, and yelled at me and my wife. You tried to intimidate us into buying a vehicle that your dealership clearly knew was in poor condition. That’s not salesmanship—that’s predatory behavior. You are an embarrassment to the profession and a shining example of why used car salesmen have the reputation they do. Your actions have permanently branded Toyota of North Austin as a dishonest operation in my mind—a con job hiding behind a corporate logo. Thankfully, I had the foresight to purchase the extended warranty—something I now fully expect to need. And rest assured, I will never set foot in your dealership again. In fact, I’ll be steering clear of all Group 1 Automotive locations—because if your conduct is any indication of how they operate, then the whole organization is a plague on the industry. Had a fantastic experience working with the Toyota of North Austin team! Anthony Avera, was my sales agent, and I couldn’t say enough good things about him. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and you co North Austin team! Anthony Avera, was my sales agent, and I couldn’t say enough good things about him. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and you could tell he actually cared about making a fair deal for both parties. Efren pulido, did the finance portion of the deal and I really enjoyed speaking with him. He was super thorough in explaining everything and took extra time to make sure I understood every aspect. You can tell Anthony and Efren take pride in their work and honor the Toyota North Austin name in doing so. Lastly, wanted to shout out the director, Neal Slocombe. He would periodically check in on the deal and overall had a positive energy that made the whole experience a walk in the park. Couldn’t be happier about choosing to buy with them! More
