I regret every second of it. It was an absolutely terrible and pathetic experience. First, they say it was dirty and they had to clean it, great that’s fine. This is Friday the 28th. We go back on Saturday the 29th to pick it up and trade in our Hyundai, they give us the car with only 19% battery charge. Our salesman said the service guy had driven it 100 miles on the night before/day we picked it up to make sure it was okay ( never heard of a car dealer doing that) but we got over it. Then he proceeds to tell us that the battery was on 2% when they got it and it had only charged to 19%overnight…why didn’t they just take it to a Tesla supercharger? There are hundreds all over Austin. Within two days we heard creaking under the car to the point where it sounds like the front of the call is going to fall apart when you reverse and turn the wheels.
I have tried calling multiple times to speak to somebody, they either keep you on hold for twenty minutes and then the call drops, or they say that they are with a customer and will call you back but never do . We took a risk buying a high mileage Tesla from them thinking that they would at least do their due diligence and make sure the car was up to standards. They did not. I told them upon buying we would only agree to buy if there was an clause/agreement that if we did a battery health test and the battery was below Tesla’s standards for the mileage/age, that we could come back to them and get something different. Have an appointment to do that with them this week at Tesla, but I’m terrified of what the results might say. Our salesman told us straight up that they don’t really know how to deal with teslas and everything they learn is from google. DO NOT BUY HERE. This is literally like a scam situation and I’m shock they have such a large place. The only thing I appreciated about this place is our salesman did apologize and cash app me $75 to go charge up our car for the first time since they let it sit and wither away for God knows how long.
These people did not give a single care about what they were selling, they just wanted money money money money. I wouldn’t doubt they knew our car was severely messed up and sold it to us anyways.
