DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHEVY TO TED BRITT FOR SERVICE! UPDATE: Received a lame voice mail at 10:30 am from Brent at Ted Britt Chevrolet stating "Sorry I was not able to make it at 8 am this morning, was h UPDATE: Received a lame voice mail at 10:30 am from Brent at Ted Britt Chevrolet stating "Sorry I was not able to make it at 8 am this morning, was here by 9. Had an emergency late night/early morning, first time I could get away so give me a call. Would like talk to you and schedule all this. Normally don't work on Saturday. Monday is my last day." So, when the Business Manager routinely responds to these Yelp reviews saying "Customer service is our top priority at Ted Britt", clearly this is NOT true! Now I understand why Ted Britt has only a 74% customer service rating on DealerRater.com and doesn't even show up on the top 12 list for my zip code! #################################################### I made an 8 am appointment for this morning, Saturday, 11/28/15, with the Ted Britt Service Manager/Sterling, Brent Anderson, early this week since the service rep I was trying to deal with was talking in circles. The purpose of the appointment was to work on a Chevy Malibu 2011 recall notice I received from GM (seat belt issue) and to have other service done on my car. (This is the 2nd Chevy I have purchased from this dealer.) I got up at 5:30 am and arrived at 7:55 am, was the first person there and asked to speak to Brent. I spoke to someone named Spencer (who had a hard time explaining his role...something about being the coordinator between sales and service) told me that Brent doesn't work on Saturdays and that, as of Monday, Brent does work there anymore. I told Spencer that my appointment was with Brent and I wanted to know where he was. Spencer said he didn't have Brent's cell phone number but would speak with Jason, the General Manager of Ted Britt Chevy in Sterling. Spencer disappeared for 5 minutes, came back and said that Jason was trying to reach Brent. I was getting irritated since it was already 8:15 am and I explained to Spencer that I was already on the edge of never purchasing any more Chevys and that he was helping me make up my mind. Spencer's reply was "there's nothing I can do". My response was that if there was nothing he could do and he is supposed to be the coordinator between sales and service that he was in the wrong job. Spencer disappeared again to go talk to Jason. (Please note that Spencer NEVER apologized for the inconvenience or offered to deal with my service issues!) While Spencer was gone the 2nd time, a female service rep came up to me, asked for my keys since she wanted to move my car. I refused to give her my keys and, instead, got my things, took the plastic and foot paper out of my car and drove off. DO NOT...and I repeat...DO NOT even consider taking your car into this dealership for any kind of service (even GM recalls). I dealt with this dealership when they were Sterling Chevrolet and ever since they were purchased by Ted Britt, dealing with them has been horrific! Unless you're someone who enjoys being handled completely unprofessionally (especially if you're a woman), do your research and find an automotive repair company who actually knows what they're doing and cares about their customers. Excellent Customer Service and Knowledgeable Team I've leased one and bought two other cars from this location and am always treated with respect and honesty which has led to my loyalty to this dealer I've leased one and bought two other cars from this location and am always treated with respect and honesty which has led to my loyalty to this dealership/team. I dealt with a new team this round and was blown away by the guidance and assistance provided by Anthony and Daniel. They walked my husband and me through the stressful decision of purchasing a new car for our family of 5. Daniel told me this most recent purchase would be a "game-changer", and he was right! Anthony was right by our side through the entire process available to answer any questions and test drives! Nina did a great job assisting us with our old car in service and with Chris later led us to our new purchase. Omar was a pleasure to work answering all our financial questions. Kudos to everyone involved!! More

I worked with the following individuals, who made the entire experience problem-free from the sales negotiation process & final car cost (James Nystrom, Angel Gammons, & Donald Kim), selection of add-on options, installation, & financing & Maryland vehicle registration & tags (Rico Caldwell & Veda Simpson), as well as some Parts Department (i.e., programmed extra remote into vehicle options menu & made extra key) & Service personnel (Chris Thomas), who did some final punch-list items completion, before final vehicle delivery. I do give the highest praise to these individuals, & the dealership, for making the whole experience the most pleasant, problem-free, & professional, in all of my used car buying experiences. I highly recommend buying a vehicle from this dealership. More

Earlier bought 2 Saturns from Hook at Saturn of Fairfax (Chris Thomas there and now here also a great team player). Gave me a great deal on the Saturn trade in last year here at the Britt. He was now put on the look out for replacement for my Toyota, and Michele (on the internet team) called and told my daughter who answered that they found the car. My daughter told me near the end of the day and I called right away. Michele and Angel stayed in contact to get me there. I decided on the second school snow day this week that I was on my way there. I saw the car and said OK. "Don't you want to test drive it?" "Nope Hook, I'll take it" (these guys are great, I knew it's good-then Donald got a great loan, less than I requested per month. And when I drove it home, I knew I found a great deal and a great team, led by (an) Angel! More

Smoke coming from under the On the night of Friday 6 Feb. 2015 after taking wife out for her birthday all heck broke out with my 2007 Saturn Outlook. Smoke coming from under the hood and all of the idiot lights coming on. Didn't know what to think. Managed to drive into Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church parking lot and called AAA. Forgot that I have On-Star. Tow truck driver was there pretty quick and although Va. Tire & Auto was less than 150 yds from me I chose to have the vehicle to be towed to Ted Britt Chevrolet. Saturday morning Chris Thomas called me and told me that he had the vehicle in the shop and wanted to get and okay to repair which was water pump failure and the cost was $1,100 (mostly labor). He asked me do I have an extended warranty on the vehicle and the answer was no. However, ultimately I remembered that GM extended the warranty on the water pump (received a letter from GM in June 2013 on the issue) on the Saturn, Encore & Acadia for 10 years or 120K which ever 1st. Chris called GM and they said they would cover the cost. Chris is the last of the Saturn Service Reps and has been great at solving problems and getting things done. This is also a reflection of Ted Britt Chevrolet and it's staff. Thanks Chris for taking care of the problem. Oh yes the vehicle was ready the following Monday. I have had this vehicle since Feb. 2008 and it has only been serviced by Saturn, Sterling Chevrolet and Ted Britt Chevrolet, but the best has been Ted Britt. More

Horrible Customer Service I wouldn't recommend anyone having to deal with Chris. He is not customer oriented or friendly at all. His people skills lack a great deal. One wou I wouldn't recommend anyone having to deal with Chris. He is not customer oriented or friendly at all. His people skills lack a great deal. One would assume that someone in this type of position would (should) have better manners. It's disappointing that the dealership doesn't recognize this and/or correct it. More

I worked with Chris Thomas, after the first level fix it was determined that the bigger, more invasive repair would be my best option. Chris explained what needed to be done (new pistons etc) and how long it would take. The technician Rob also spoke with me which made me understand the repair a bit more. They got me set up with a loaned that would work for my 3 kids and sent me on my way. I was originally told it would take a week but unfortunately thanksgiving fell during that week, which would delay some parts. Chris called me immediately and apologized, not that it was their fault. After the holiday they got the repair done very quickly. The service I received from these guys was the best experience I have ever had. I hope I don't need to see them for a bit other then routine care, but if I do I will not hesitate to go back. Great job..... More
