I had an excellent run through the entire process from first introduction to Michael C to signing on the dotted line to complete the purchase of my Corolla hybrid. I like to think I have a pretty laid-back approach to life so Michael certainly had to encompass a chunk of my sometimes wacky sense of humor when dealing with me (and particularly my dodgy eyesight without my reading glasses). He walked me through the paperwork excellently so there were no surprises or guess work needed from start to finish. A good amount of patience too particularly with my bank when it became apparent that there was a transaction limit I wasn't aware of that was lower than the deposit I wanted to put down. Bottom line is don't hesitate in visiting this dealership if you're after a new car.

I recently purchased a used Toyota Highlander and, knowing it’s an older model, I’ve been diligent about getting it serviced and cared for properly. Unfortunately, my recent experience at Toyota Torrance left me deeply disappointed and concerned for my safety. I brought my vehicle in because I noticed an oil leak, despite having just gotten an oil change, a new oil filter, and ensuring the car was safe to drive at a Toyota dealership in North Carolina less than a month prior. I scheduled an appointment and was assisted by the assistant manager NESTOR LOPEZ. From the start, the interaction was unpleasant—he was dismissive, unhelpful, and made me feel as though my concerns didn’t matter. Despite my appointment, I ended up waiting over four hours. When I returned, I was told that they “couldn’t find where the oil leak was coming from,” that my car was “a mess underneath,” and all they could do is clean the bottom and add a $15 dye test. For this, I was charged $235. I asked about my safety driving the car with an active oil leak, and NESTOR LOPEZ simply told me to “drive it 500–1000 miles and come back to recheck”. He brushed off my questions and showed no concern for my safety or the fact that I had just paid Toyota North Carolina a significant amount for related work only weeks earlier. His attitude was rude, and his comments about “that’s North Carolina, this is California” were unprofessional and dismissive. The worst part is this: the work they claimed to have done was never done. When I got home, I checked under the hood, and nothing had been cleaned as they said. A trusted family friend, a mechanic, inspected it and immediately found the real problem: two pipes soaked in oil from a transmission leak. He also discovered that my transmission fluid was completely empty—a serious safety hazard that Toyota Service never even checked. This means I was charged hundreds of dollars for nothing, left with a dangerous and unresolved problem, and treated with complete disregard by the assistant manager, NESTOR LOPEZ, overseeing my service. Had I not had someone else check my car, I could have easily destroyed my transmission or been stranded on the road. I trusted Toyota because I believed going directly to the dealership would mean quality care and genuine concern for my safety. Instead, I left feeling dismissed, overcharged, and extremely unsafe. It is unacceptable that an assistant manager would provide such poor service, fail to ensure even the most basic checks (like transmission fluid), and treat a customer with such disregard.

Over the course of two full weekends, my vehicle was held—first for a repair, then again to correct a repair that should never have occurred. Despite the extended inconvenience, no rental vehicle was offered, and my RAV4 was returned with an empty gas tank. The consequences were not just frustrating—they were dangerous. Shortly after pickup, my RAV4 stalled on the 60 freeway, one of the busiest highways in the area. I was stranded in traffic and could have been hit. This was a direct result of your team’s failure to return my vehicle in safe, drivable condition. This experience reflects: • Negligent service and poor communication • Failure to provide basic customer care • Disregard for safety and accountability I’m requesting a formal response and resolution, including: • Reimbursement for fuel and roadside assistance • Clarification of your rental policy for extended service delays • Assurance that safety checks are performed before releasing vehicles I trusted your dealership with my vehicle. Overall a good experience. My arrival and check in were easy and the waiting room was nice and stocked with drinks and food vending machines. The service took less than the predicted time. My only issue is the cleanliness of my vehicle upon getting in it. The service tech left his show coverings inside along with some scrap paper. Otherwise, good overall.

I schedule the recall service on 9/30/25 and dropped off.my car. The technician told me only one recall can be done today because inly one part is available. But then Tom Anderson called and said the parts are not ready and I need to pick up my car. It was waste of my time and it was unefficient and unprofessional from Toyota service department.
