I went to Discovery Nissan to purchase tires and find out about the service light that had appeared. Emily Bryant did a very good job in explaining to me that the tires did not need to be replaced. She showed me how to inspect the tires and analyze the the wear marks. This was very helpful and i was appreciative of Emily not trying to sell me tires i did not need. Emily showed me where birds had made a nest in one of the wheel wells. It had been a while since I had driven the truck, since warning light had appeared. Some critter had chewed on some fuel line and it had to be replaced. Emily needed to search for the part. She said it might be a while for the part to be located. It was not long at all when Emily called me informing me the part had been located. I would need to schedule a service appointment. Which I am doing in the next few days. My contact with the Discovery Nissan Service Dept was very amicable with good quality customer service.

Dishonest, Predatory, and Completely Unethical – Avoid East Charlotte Nissan My experience with East Charlotte Nissan was shockingly deceptive from start to finish. I purchased a 2024 Nissan Kicks on May 8, 2026, and what should have been a straightforward transaction quickly turned into one of the most unethical dealership encounters I’ve ever had. To begin with, the salesperson verbally promised me a “3‑day, 300‑mile return policy” to pressure me into signing. This policy does not exist. I relied on that promise when agreeing to the purchase, only to find out afterwards that it was completely fabricated. That alone is unacceptable. But it gets worse. Shortly after the purchase, I experienced a sudden change in my employment status that directly affected my ability to qualify for the financing. I immediately notified both the lender and the dealership. Instead of acting responsibly under a conditional delivery agreement, East Charlotte Nissan rushed to process and fund the loan within just 3 hours of the next business day—despite being told the financial information was no longer accurate. It’s hard to interpret that as anything other than a deliberate attempt to avoid having to unwind the transaction. I wanted to return the vehicle in perfect condition with all keys and documents, and requested that the deal be voided. Rather than handling the situation professionally, the dealership made the process unnecessarily difficult and dismissive. Between the false return-policy promise, the high-pressure tactics, the intentional rush to force a loan through, and the attempt to charge me lot fees just to return the car, East Charlotte Nissan has shown a complete disregard for honesty, ethics, and basic consumer protection. I am now filing formal complaints with the North Carolina Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division, the DMV Dealer Licensing Board, and Nissan North America. If you value transparency, integrity, or even the bare minimum of ethical behavior, do not buy from East Charlotte Nissan. There are plenty of dealerships in Charlotte that don’t rely on deception and predatory tactics to make a sale.

I never write reviews, but did want to give this place the credit they deserve. I worked with Rock Hill Nissan to help my daughter buy her first car. I negotiate pretty hard and also am pretty strict about privacy and credit inquiries so have some tighter rules I operate by. This place was very respectful of that which I appreciate. We also had to redo some paperwork that was our fault and they worked with us being very courteous and patient throughout the process. Every person we talked to starting from sales, finance, back-end administration and through management was a class act. I’d buy another car from this place in a heartbeat.

Management on the service side operates unprofessionally, relaying on the "good old boy" system rather than holding individuals accountable for their actions. They prioritize protecting their own. Took truck in for a short in wiring. Had truck 5 days. Jiggled the wire enough to eliminate the short, but did not fix the short. Already had the bill over $400 and wanted to remove the dash board (more money). Got truck back, cigarette lighter/phone changing port no longer works. Also charged $36 for "shop supplies." Since they didn't fix anything or use any actual supplies, they have agreed to refund that portion of the bill. Said "shop supplies" are automatically added to a bill and should have been removed if no supplies were used. How about only adding the supplies when they are used? No itemization because there are no actual supplies being used. Every vehicle coming into their service center will be charged this fee unless you question it. Then was offered only $3,000 as a trade-in, which is less than 50% of the value of the truck. Con-artists and criminals.
