This was our first car buying experience as a couple. Rob Rocheford was wonderful to work with. We visited Alexandria Volkswagen twice before our purchase date. The first day we drove three VW Atlases. On our second visit we wanted to try the Cross Sport. Rob spent time doing research on their inventory so we could make the best of our time spent. On Saturday we showed up and were ready to purchase a CPO Cross Sport. Rob and the finance staff talked us through the process and made sure we were comfortable. I had a great experience buying my first car at Stohlman Automotive! I went with Stohlman because a friend recommended them for their service department, the good (and recent) reviews on DealerRater, and I was also drawn by their "pressure-free" assurance online. The buying process was easy and straight-forward: they asked some of the typical questions like "what's your target monthly payment" and whether I wanted a maintenance package but kept it honest when I said I wanted to focus on OTD and wasn't interested in any special add-ons. Our sales rep, Priscilla, was straightforward and professional, and took the time to explain certain features of the car to me and check-in on whether I had more questions before I drove the car off the lot. I was in at 2pm and out by 430pm. Financing was easy too, as they honored Subaru's special interest rates for March 2024. When reviewing the contract, they made sure I understood all parts of it and did not try to rush. After the purchase, I received emails from an "Encore Specialist" who followed up if I had any questions about servicing, parts, or technology. They were super helpful when I had a concern about the OEM hitch and worked to address my concerns. Everyone else I worked with was professional and assertive but not pushy. The friend (with more car buying experience) I brought along as moral support commented that it was the best car buying process she had ever been through. I've been recommending Stohlman to my friends who are car shopping for Subarus or VWs in the DMV.

FANTASTIC experience at Casey VW! Make sure you ask for Jason Rowley if you go. He was the best salesman I have ever worked with. From start to finish, Jason made our experience extraordinary. Very laid back, no pressure, very knowledgeable. It felt like we had brought a friend with us to the lot to help us pick out a car. I will go to Jason for all of our car needs going forward, although we hope to keep the car we have for a very long time. He helped us pick out a great car at a great price. I could not find another dealership to beat the deal we ended up with. His manager, Rudy Medina (the big guns), was great to work with as well. He kept his promises and there were no surprises when it came time to sign. I signed paperwork with William Hooper. He was very thorough and very patient. He made sure I understood exactly what Casey was offering and what I was signing. Overall great experience. I definitely recommend!

Alfonso Monteverde was the sales person that assisted us with the purchase of our new SUV and he was AMAZING. We checked the Lindsay VW of Dulles dealership online inventory and knew we could find the VW Atlas we were looking for. Alfonso showed us all the different models of the Atlas, explained all the differences between each model (including the fluctuation of prices), he took us around the lot to see each model in person and coordinated our test drive. Alfonso was extremely patient with us and he made sure to answer all of our questions through the entire process. Typically, going to a dealership is really intimidating, but Alfonso made us feel very comfortable, made us feel heard and taken care of. If anyone is in the market for a vehicle (Specifically a VW), make sure to go and see Alfonso, he will give you the necessary guidance and information to ensure you can make a well informed decision!

Getting my car was the only easy part. - Aaron

Getting my car was the only easy part. They bring you in, make you feel like best friends, and then have you sign off on a vehicle and don't communicate or return communication with you anymore. I was given a single key when I purchased my car in 2020 and was promised by my sales person that I would be given a second key (provided by the dealership) as soon as possible. This was in 2020 and it is now 2024 and this still hasn't been resolved. Since I purchased my vehicle I have called multiple times about the key I was promised, left voice mails, etc, to no avail. Also, don't get an extended warranty through them either as I have called their office and warranty department 7 times in the last 2 weeks, and had someone answer once. I have left voicemails and never received a call back. Like most organizations they are super friendly up until you buy, then the cord is cut. Going back, I would look somewhere else that follows through with their customers, and service after a sale has been completed. If you want someone to guide you through every step of buying, hold your hand, be your best friend, talk you into needing an extended warranty, show you where to sign, these are the people for that.

Outstanding service department! Ms Pam Willis and her service techs always do a superb job on my vehicles. They listen to my concerns and they note items I need to be aware of while they perform preventive maintenance on my vehicles. They know that I rely on my vehicles - I've been a customer here for 22 years. I drive 90 miles one way to get to this location and pass by at least 4 other VW dealers as I drive the distance. Ms Pam Willis and her techs have earned my loyalty by earning my trust. I've purchased 3 VWs here over 22 years and I'll keep buying my VWs here.

i took my 2013 tiguan there in december '23 for an engine - mbelle135

i took my 2013 tiguan there in december '23 for an engine light diagnostic, and was appalled by the blatant lying and rude disrespect they gave me. their service team came up with more than 15 items and over $15,000 in repairs, on a auto with just 80,000 miles. the engine light code was for a sensor, but the dealership said it was necessary to repair the timing chain (a $6000 charge). i phoned a friend/mechanic and they recommended the spark plugs and oil change, so i did those items. the service people were convinced all their recommendations were valid, and made me sign a waiver, but the engine light has never come back on, nor have i had any transmission problems. meanwhile, the service desk ladies were very rude both on the phone and in person after i decided to only do minor repairs. they said my car was poorly maintained, told me i must know more than them to my face, and then still charged me $150 for the supposedly complimentary multi-point inspection/diagnostic. i would NOT trust these people. i took my car to another vw specialist, who diagnosed 3 smaller issues, with not one of the things that came up on the dealership diagnostics. cma staunton are scammers and rude!

Must be the most useless unfriendly VW dealership. Service and spares dept very unknowledgeable. Could not assist me or offer help to change a cigarette lighter fuse. Neither was anyone willing to show me which fuse it is. It seems even their technicians do not know. Or were just unwilling. But I was invited to book my car in to get them to replace the fuse at a cost of 80 $. They do Volkswagen no favors in winning customers

We called about the vehicle this morning at 11:AM to set set up a test drive. We arrived 45 minutes later, drove the car and one hour after the test drive we were signing papers. The dealership team were prompt, efficient and friendly. We especially appreciated Scott Henderson's service!

I purchased a used vehicle, this was my 4th purchased and my experience wasn’t good. I had buyers remorse the next day and took the vehicle back and expressed it. I was never told about the 3 day return policy. I even spoke to the manager about it and he assured me that he would help. He procrastinated and when he told me to come back it was too late. I had passed the 3 day policy. When I took the truck home it was dirty inside they didn’t do a good job at cleaning it. Then the guy that sold me the truck said he would clean it himself. He returned the truck to me and I didn’t look through it good and it was still dirty. When I went for my first service I found out that I was driving without an inspection sticker for nearly three months. The service guy told me that a dealership isn’t suppose to sell a vehicle without the inspection. I told him that I bough it from them. Then under the hood was sooooo dirty. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FROM FLOW they are not for the people only to make money. If I was a white personal I believe my treatment would have been better. Or maybe my treatment was this way because I didn’t but a new car. There were other things but I would be writing for days.

Neither one of them put pressure on us to make the purchase right away, which is what we had experienced with some other shops, and they were incredibly helpful and patient while we worked through the process of selecting our new vehicle and negotiating a fair price.
