I had an issue with Mia long wait even tho I had made an appointment. The service manager came out to talk to me for 1/2 hour to explain the situation. I was extremely impressed with the amount he cared about the dealership and its clients. Plus there was no charge and the issue was my fault. I have always been impressed with the service department at Hendrick which is why I have 3 Subarus from this wonderful dealership. In Connecticut where I am from, no one likes much less loves their dealership. Keep it going Hendrick.

Hunter Subaru is TOPS in my book. I have purchased just approximately 25 new and used cars for our family. And I can honestly say that Hunter Subaru has the BEST Sales and service teams of any Subaru dealership that I have dealt with. Hunter Subaru genuinely wants to please the customer. Their Service department is second to none! Jhon Salguero has been my service advisor on 3 separate occasions. He and his team seem to know Subarus inside out. They will not disappoint you. All my maintenance and warranty issues were properly addressed. I have been able to quickly get in and out of the dealership whenever I made an appointment. Mark, was one of the mechanics who worked on my 2024 Outback Touring XT three times. Whether routine maintenance or something more complicated, he got the job done.

Do not get your car serviced here, I had work done on 2 foresters and it took 3 times for each to get the problem fixed and fight with them about charging me for items that didn't fix the problem. $ 1600. On a total new ac system , 1 week later it stopped working, took it back and was charged for a/c recharge and o-ring , $ 160.00 !!!

I bought my first Subaru from this dealer and only needed routine maintenance the whole time I had the car. Not one problem, the several years I drove it. I traded it in for a 2020 Outback and have had frequent problems with the new computer system, including failure of the tailgate lift system, beginning with my early ownership of the car. It had been fixed and working for some time when I brought the car in for a scheduled update of the computer system. When it was returned to me, first thing I discovered the tailgate was malfunctioning again. I returned it, again, for repair under warranty. I was basically put off by the dealership and then - with no valid grounds - was blamed by both the sales manager and the dealer owner for the problem. My impression was that they didn't know what to do to fix it - so, blame the customer. A number of postings on online forums identify this as a known problem, yet I was rudely confronted by both above individuals. This morning, I received a call from the Subaru customer advocacy center that Armstrong Subaru did not wish to resolve the tailgate lift problem; that they want me to find another dealer to do this warranty work. It seems to me to be outside the purview of Subaru ideals to blame and fire the customer! When it has involved routine maintenance, Armstrong Subaru has delivered consistently in the service department. However, in this case of a warranty issue - particularly involving the computer systems - my impression is that their knowledge and skill is limited. That they would blame the customer for the problem, particularly with such aggression and rudeness in my experience, is unacceptable IMHO. In my experience, the Subaru Outbacks I have owned are amazing cars. I live on a hill, on the edge of the NC South Mountains. In bad rains, I have to drive uphill in mud, on a switchback, to get to my carport. There has never been a problem negotiating this course that would be impossible for many 4-wheelers. I now just need to find a reliable Subaru dealer.

I used this dealership for routine maintenance twice and they were okay for that type of service. My horrible experience started when I needed my seats cleaned (I had the fabric warranty I purchased from the dealership I purchased my car from in VA). I was told that my warranty works wherever I moved and that was the case (I could have taken it out in town too but figured I would go through this actual dealer). I spoke with Beverly and she was extremely rude and unhelpful. I was on the phone with the other dealership and the warranty company and I did all the leg work for the claim. I finally filed the claim and when I called her and let her know that all she needed to do was send them a quote and they would approve it. I was told they only have detailing for their vehicles and have not cleaned customers vehicles that they do not have on their lot. When I called her and said that all she needed to do was send them a quote she said (with an attitude) "so you expect me to take care of this"... Well I had already done everything else and finally just decided to get a quote from out in town and then happened to be going back to Virginia the next week so just had the work done there. I will not being going back to National anymore, even for routine maintenance.
