Only 5 stars? - cgarnett707
Only 5 stars?!?! I’d give 10 if I could!!! Here’s why:
I’m a newly, single mom. I’ve never bought a car by myself before. My car had been totaled, I had limited time and resources to find a replacement. Dealerships and car repair shops have always made me nervous, because I feel like “they can see me coming”. I don’t know anything about cars, I don’t have time to research, I just need it done right and don’t have knowledge enough to “haggle” or know when I’m being taken for a ride. (ha...no pun intended).
I had a handful of needs on my list, but couldn’t even name 2 make/model’s that would have even been candidates, no clue. Also, having just been in a total loss accident, safety was top of my list.
I walked into Rydell in Waterloo, no appt, asked if someone would be available and was fortunate enough to be helped by Brandon Reyes. (I repeat, BRANDON REYES – believe me, this is who you want to walk in and ask for.)
We sat down and he listened to my story. He expressed concern and genuinely made it his mission to find me everything on my list. He walked me through a few additional questions, obviously, he was qualifying and ruling things out in his recommendation based on my answers. He was quick, thorough and when he looked back from his computer, he grinned and said, “Carrie, follow me, we’ve got options!!”. I never expected that. It’s like he was truly excited to provide me with options, answers and solutions. He took me through the lot and not only did he explain what we were looking at and why…he explained as we went, why a vehicle that looked ok to me, WOULDN’T work. He was educating me and reassuring me throughout the process. He was easy in manner, never made me feel stupid for asking probably what are considered stupid questions in his business and just gave me a level of confidence that we had considered all viable options and were making strategic down-selections.
During the test drive, he showed me all the bells and whistles, made sure everything was adjusted to fit me (I’m 5’3” and clearly Shaq was the last person to drive the car). Helpful and personal touches in features – “I know you said you didn’t like X, here’s how you make it do Y”. He not only remembered what I knew I wanted, he made recommendations on things I didn’t know existed that he thought I MIGHT like. Man, he had me pegged. It was the first time I’ve ever walked into a dealership or discussed car service/warranty details and felt like I understood, agreed with and wasn’t just being upsold. Shout outs to Ryan Strovers and Tyler Frank too for explaining financing, extended coverage, service plans, etc. to me. Again, between the 3 of them, I felt like they were working to HELP me, not SELL me. One would say, “What about this” and the other would say, “We already thought of that, won’t work because X. We thought maybe this”. I was lost, but I just felt like, here were 3 professional experts legitimately DESIGNING/BUILDING THE BEST DEAL they could for me. I could have kissed them ( I didn’t, but I wanted to!!), I was so grateful!!
I will NEVER worry about buying a car again, because I’ve now found my go-to team of experts. I couldn’t be happier and it couldn’t have happened a moment too soon. I’ll be introducing my parents to Brandon here in the next few weeks. They both need vehicles and we are now what you’d call a “Rydell family”.
Thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being WONDERFUL!!!!!!!
