I wish though that the sales associates would be more informed of the deals that are being offered by VW on line, and that it is not the client who has to tell them about those offers. More education from headquarters will be much appreciated. More

At this dealership on 8-26-25 I had an oil change and service work done on our 2019 Jetta. After returning home the car remained parked in our garage for a couple of days before I noticed that it was leaking oil on the garage floor (the car had no prior oil leaks). My wife returned the car to the shop and the Service Advisor, Joshua, informed her that the engine oil pan had a small hole, and that I had hit something on the road on my way home from the oil change. He also said that the service technician made a video of the oil pan, and he would send us the video along with a quote for a new oil pan installation. My wife returned home with the car, and we waited most of day for the video to arrive. While at home that day we noticed that it was no longer leaking. Joshua’s conclusion that I had hit something on the road made no sense. I knew that I did not hit anything, plus, the Jetta has a shield under the oil pan, if I had hit something that would put hole in oil pan the shield would have to be damaged as well; it wasn’t, not scratch on it. The video did not arrive, so we returned to the dealership and again Joshua was adamant that I had hit something that put a hole in the oil pan. He even went so far to say that I hit something and did not know it. He then sent the video to my wife’s cell phone, along with a $1300 quote to replace the oil pan. We wanted to talk to the service manager, but he was not there. Amazingly, we viewed the video at home and there was no mention of a hole in oil pan, only a small dent near the drain plug. Naturally, we were puzzled about Joshua’s claim regarding the hole, and if he watched the video. The following morning, Greg, the Service Manager, promptly telephoned us and we explained our situation. He then spoke to the service technician and from that conversation we learned that the leak was at the drain plug, and that the service technician remedied it by installing a new washer, which explains why it was no longer leaking. Kudos to Greg for resolving the issue! He also said that the small dent may have come from the factory, they had seen that before. More
They want a diagnosis fee to tell you where an oil leak is coming from and to give you an estimate. It is overall cheaper to go to a real mechanic shop and get your estimate for repair. is coming from and to give you an estimate.
