Today is January 20th. 2012 we just left this dealer and it was a experience to remember. Lisa was our Sales Person, she was very helpful and customer service oriented. But then when it came time to run num it was a experience to remember. Lisa was our Sales Person, she was very helpful and customer service oriented. But then when it came time to run numbers FINANCE is where the problem began. The Dealer just lost a $16,000 Deal. Went back and forth negotiating and it came down to The Dealer lost the SALE for $500.00. Meaning finance would not budge for $500.00. Which let be known the $500.00 was for a automotive MIST TREATMNT that they so called said they were gonna take a loss even selling it to us for $500.00. BUYER BEWARE! FINANCE IS ALL ABOUT THE $$$$$ AND COULD CARE A LESS ABOUT LOOSING A SALE BECAUSE WE WERE TOO SMART FOR HIS GAME PLANS AND HE DIDN'T LIKE THAT. SO HE RATHER LOOSE OUR BUSINESS AND WAIT TILL SOMEONE COMES IN THAT HAS NO IDEA ABOUT CAR FINANCING AND THIER DECEIVING WAYS AND TAKE YOU FOR EVERY PENNY YOU HAVE. SORRY NOT WITH US!!!.... ALSO BEWARE OF WHEN YOU WALK IN FRONT DOOR THERE IS A BIG SIGN THAT STATES THE PRICE YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU PAY AND NO HIDDEN FEES. HAHA! "HAVE TO LAUGH". NO HIDDEN FEES... FINANCE WAS TRYING TO TACK ON EXTRA FEES FOR THIS AND THAT AND HAVE EXCUSE UNDER THE SUN FOR THE FEES AND EXTRA CHARGES. NEVER, NEVER AGAIN! IT'S A SHAME TO HAVE SUCH A GREAT CUSTOMER ORIENTED PERSON TO WORK FOR QUESTIONABLE FINANCE PEOPLE IN A DEALERSHIP LIKE THAT... "WORD OF ADVISE LISA I WOULD KEEP MY OPTIONS OPEN." *****************OMG*****************WE WERE ASKED TO SHOW A CREDIT CARD TO SHOW WE WERE SERIOUS ABOUT THE DEAL. LISA ADVISED US THAT FINANCE SAID IT WAS FOR A SHOW OF GOOD FAITH, BUT MIND YOU THEY HAD OUR VECHICLE IN THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT SO THERE WAS NO REASON AT ALL TO MAKE A CUSTOMER FEEL LIKE THEY WERE COMING IN THE DEALERSHIP TO PURCHASE THE VEHICLE WITH A LINK CARD (PUBLIC AID). IF WE WEREN'T SERIOUS ABOUT PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE WE WOULD HAVE NEVER WASTED OUR TIME AND WOULD HAVE LEFT RIGHT AFTER SEEING THE VEHICLE BUT WE DIDN'T. BE ADVISED YOU WILL BE PRESSURED TO GIVE THEM YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND PAYOFF AMOUNT IF DOING A TRADE SO THEY CAN MAKE YOU A SO CALLED GOOD DEAL. YOU DON'T NEED TO EVER GIVE FINACE A PAYOFF AMOUNT OR YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER TILL THE NUMBERS ARE RUN AND ARE AGREED BETWEEN BOTH PARTIES. DON'T EVER MISTAKE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NEED AND WANT. YES I WANTED A HUMMER. DO I NEED A HUMMER? NO! THAT'S WHAT THATS WHERE FINANCE GOT CONFUSED. THINKING CUSTOMERS NEED IT SO THEY WILL PAY ANYTHING TO BUY THE CAR. NO WAY! NEVER WITH SERVICE LIKE THAT. HAD THE MONEY HAD THE CREDIT BUT WE COULDN'T SEE OURSELVES STOOPING TO THAT LEVEL OF IGNORANCE TO PURCHASE IT. More

He was extremely helpful and worked with me in a professional manner when it came down to purchasing a car. He is also extremely knowledgeable of the autos he is selling. When he first intriduced us to the VW CC Sport he gave us a thorough presentation and explanation of all the details, parts and accessories within the vehicle. He is a salesman that speaks repectfully and consideratly with those that are considering a car purchase. Not overly pushy or annoying like most people in sales. Thank you Rafal! More
Best experience! I just bought a used cc from autobarn volkswagen of mt. prospect, last week. The dealership and all employees are amazing. My previous car was also from a dealership, but my experience was not that pleasant. Even with autobarn, I had been to other locations but this location is the best. I love my car, I loved the service I got that day. My sales person, Ryan was amazing. I took so long to make up my mind, but he was very calm the whole time. He understood my point, helped me out with whatever he could. To put it in right words, he was not just into selling his car,instead he made sure, I walk out with what I liked. Unlike other sales people, he was not making up things to make his car look nice or pointing out problems in my car. He was simply all about giving me the best service. Infact, after two days of my purchase I just showed up infront of his office to ask for help about system and he again came out and went through car's system to teach me all the functions. The trade in value I got for my car, the sales price I got for cc, financing, service plans, everything worked out in my favor. The sales manager and finance manager were also very nice people. I called in service department today about a question and the manager in that department helped me very nicely. I am loyal to this dealership!!! More
My recent purchase was started based on reviewing a vehicle for an out of town relative. Robbie and Raffi had my vehicle of choice on the lot and took the time to review the many options I had available. Once the decision to purchase was made, Robbie facilitated a great experience which was completed with little or no fuss. From initial decision to completed purchase every person involved was knowledgeable, attentive to my requests and considered my time valuable. Robbie happily engaged the sales team in meeting and exceeding my expectations. I am completely satisfied with the outcome and enjoy learning all about my new 2012 Volkswagen. This is the third vehicle I have purchased from Autobarn Mt Prospect, my second with Robbie and my eighth VW overall. Autobarn VW of Mt. Prospect has been great for so many things, but this time, it was for my first service appointment, which was a complementary 90 day check up for my new Jetta! (Yes you read that right, things, but this time, it was for my first service appointment, which was a complementary 90 day check up for my new Jetta! (Yes you read that right, complementary). I pulled up to the service garage, saw my name on their service board (even spelled correctly - not easy with a 10 letter last name involving a z :)) and immediately out came Bill, the Service Manager, for the dealership. He was so professional yet best of all a very friendly person too! He asked me how I was doing, how I was liking my car and what concerns I had for them. He also told me exactly what they'd be doing for the check-up and wow I was so amazed with all that they were willing to do in a complementary check-up! Within just a few minutes I was inside signing a few papers where Bill introduced me to Jason who helped with the paper work and securing a car for the hour or so the appointment would take so I could run errands rather than wait. Jason was super friendly as well and called me exactly as he said he would when the check-up was complete. When I returned to pick up my car, I couldn't believe how thorough Jason was with going through everything they did for the car. THANK YOU!!! They even caught a few very minor things I had no clue about and fixed everything up at no cost!!! The best part was as they pulled my car around, it was so shiny and clean inside and out that I felt like I was getting a new car again!! THANK YOU AUTOBARN!! I am so happy I went with VW but most of all so happy I went with Autobarn VW of Mt. Prospect. You guys are awesome! Looking fwd to my detailing appointment at the end of winter! More
This is the second purchase from this dealership. Lisa was informative and absolutly no pressure. I was working with her for six weeks before I decided to buy. Before going to the MP dealership, I went to the one in Schaumburg. While I was there, NO ONE came up to me to see why I was there or what I was looking for--needless to say this was a huge turn off for VW Schaumburg. While I was there, NO ONE came up to me to see why I was there or what I was looking for--needless to say this was a huge turn off for VW's. I decided to try one more dealership before giving up and I went to the mount prospect location. When we walked in, Cliff greeted us right away and was very open to talking about the differences between the jetta and the passat. Once I decided I was more interested in the Passat, Cliff allowed me to test drive it, and get a feel for what the car drove like. I didn't end up buying the first day, but I spent easily 3-4 hours with Cliff and he was very patient and friendly when talking to me. He gave me his honest opinion, which i really took to heart. Between the time when I first talked with Cliff and came back the second time, I emailed him a couple questions and he responded very quickly. The day I ended up buying, he let me test drive the car again and explained everything all over again because I had brought my dad with me this time. Cliff was so great in getting a price that worked with my budget, I would definitely recommend him to a friend! I also worked with Mike Audino, and again he was very kind and made me really feel like he was looking out for my wellbeing. Working with these two guys really made a lasting impression on my first car buying experience. I will definitely stay in the Autobarn Volkwagen of Mount Prospect family! More
