Rough road trying to purchase a used car I recently went looking to purchase my first car. I was nervous, excited and didn't know what to expect. I knew the car I was looking for and found 5 local dealers that had the vehicle available. My first stop was Victorville Hyundai and I met with a salesman named Randy and I immediately felt comfortable and really liked the way we were treated and talked to. Now the catch here was the car I saw online was not the car they had in their lot. He reassured me that the car was not in the best shape but it would be amazing when it was ready. They had the car for about a week and it had a broken driver side mirror and some dents which happened in transport and they couldn't find the keys. The car did not have everything it said it had online and showed options online that were not on the car. He reassured me that the dealership had a great reputation and the owner stood proudly behind every car they were selling. I told him I had other dealers to go see but I would be back the next day to see the inside thoroughly of the car because they could not find the keys. I went to the other dealers and the cars were all ready to be driven home and in great condition and specifically were exactly what was advertised online. When I went back to Victorville Hyundai the next day it took them over an hour to locate the keys. The car was filthy inside and the driver seat was ripped. There was some plastic pieces that we could not tell where they came from, but again Randy reassured me everything would be fixed on the car and it would look amazing. I had a few offers that I was considering but I didn't feel as comfortable with those salesmen/woman and I decided to go back and give Randy and Victorville Hyundai a try. I went ahead and decided to see what kind of offer they would give me. I was told what the payments would be and how much I would need down. Randy advised me that he would get back to me and let me know exactly when the car would be ready before I put anything down and signed any paperwork. On Tuesday March 28th I got the call from him and he said he would like to lock in the car with me so they could take it off the market and it would be ready by that Friday. I went in that night and when we started the paperwork I was then told the down payment would be different and possibly the car would not be ready till the following Monday. I still stood by Randy and his word and decided to go ahead and confirm the deal. During the waiting time I had to be the one that kept calling Randy and was always told he was busy that's why he couldn't call me first. Friday came and the car was not ready. I was reassured that it would be ready by Monday and that he would keep in contact with me during that time. Monday came and no call from him, so I called later in the day and was told it would not be ready now till Tuesday. He reassured me again that it would be ready before I got out of work at 3.30. Tuesday afternoon I got a call and Randy said it was almost done and they were waiting for the upholstery man to come do his part. He said it would take a few hours but it would be ready by 7:00 and if it was ready earlier he would call me. Then around 6:20 Randy called and said the upholstery guy took the car and it wouldn't be ready till Wednesday now! This dealership has not held their part of the contract and has given me the run around for over a week. I was given false information to go in and secure a car with my signing the contract and giving my down payment based on the reputation of this salesman and dealership. I trusted this dealership to back their word and stand by what I was told. Then I find out that the car is being driven to the body shop and the upholstery shop and I'm paying for a car and insurance on a car I don't even have yet. I was told Friday so I made sure I obtained the proper insurance I needed to supply to the dealership to comply with my side of the contract. While I was there the 3 different times there were not a lot of customers there looking at the cars and we were told about how slow business was and reassured that the owner takes pride in this dealership and their customers. I understand I may only be 1 customer who's had issues with this dealership but in this day and age of the internet and social media all it takes is 1 customer to put their story out there so people are aware of how this dealership works and how their customers are treated. For someone like me who is a first time buyer and I was already nervous and hesitant this was the experience from xxxx! I've had to walk to and from work for a week because of the misinformation I was told, and how many times can I hear I apologize for this inconvenience! So much for Victorville Hyundai and their reputation. Where's the owner at now and is he still standing by how I was treated and mislead? I'm so discouraged, dissatisfied and disappointed with this experience with Victorville Hyundai and I still don't have the car and tomorrow it will be over a week! Best decision I could have made Overall, I had a wonderful experience. I was satisfied with the entire process in general, it was just a very long process. I went in to view options and ultimately traded in my suv and purchased a 2017 Hyundai Elantra SE. I did not even expect to qualify for a new vehicle with a deferred down and such a low interest rate. The monthly payments were a little higher than expected, however, it is completely worth it. I am in love with my current vehicle and making this purchase was the best thing I could have done for my family. I commute for work 53 miles one way and back in Corona, California. I really needed a gas saver, but also a car that could handle the Cajon Pass. This car's eco mode is great for the mileage, I fill up for $20 and it lasts forever! The other two modes for the car: standard and sport, are wonderful as well. Furthermore, I have already driven this vehicle over 500 miles for work and doctor's appointments and fully tried out all aspects of the vehicle. It is amazing. I wish I could have received one with more luxury components as listed in the handbook; i.e.- bluetooth, seat warmers, touch screen, etc. I can add on to it all later. But overall, satisfied. More

Overall, if your looking for a dealership that doesn't overwhelm you with choices, this might be the one. More

Also, AJ was great to work with he was very patient and had a great, positive attitude about the whole process. I would highly recommend everybody go visit Travis and AJ for their next car purchase.
