Took my 2022 Sonata in for service due to no AC. Received no communication from them about my repair unless I texted them asking for an answer. Wouldn’t respond to my last two texts. Universal Hyundai: Unresponsive, Unhelpful, and Unapologetic I deeply regret bringing my vehicle to Universal Hyundai for warranty service. Their lack of communication, misleading promises, and Unapologetic I deeply regret bringing my vehicle to Universal Hyundai for warranty service. Their lack of communication, misleading promises, and overall customer service failure made this an incredibly frustrating experience. I dropped off my car for a manufacturer-approved paint repair on March 4, 2025. I was told the work would take 1–2 weeks. However, nearly a month later, my car was still not ready, and the dealership refused to provide clear updates. Repeated missed deadlines: I was eventually told my car would be ready by March 20, then March 25, then pushed back again. I had to chase down answers from different employees each time because Universal Hyundai refused to call me with updates. Ignored calls & poor communication: The dealership avoided my number, only answering when I used different family member phones. Even when I visited in person, the staff seemed confused about my car’s status and couldn't confirm its location. Management seems absent or blatantly unwilling to communicate and address the concern. No loaner or rental reimbursement: Despite their delays, the dealership refused to offer a loaner vehicle or rental reimbursement, leaving me without transportation for nearly a month. The body shop was more professional than Universal Hyundai: I eventually took it upon myself to reach out to the body shop directly. They were far more communicative and helpful. However, they couldn’t understand why Universal Hyundai wasn’t relaying updates to me properly. Suspicious online reviews: I noticed that Universal Hyundai’s Google reviews are overwhelmingly positive, which seems inconsistent with the poor service and lack of accountability I experienced. Meanwhile, Yelp reviews tell a completely different story—one that's likely more consistent with the unfortunate reality you're bound to experience if interacting with this dealership. Furthermore, I had contacted the dealership's Reputation Manager about the experience, and they still have not responded (which is consistent with the overall experience). If you expect honest service and reliable communication, take your business elsewhere. Universal Hyundai has shown complete disregard and disrespect for its customers. More
