They kept telling me it is an as is car but was fixing the cosmetic issues which leads me to believe they knew there was things wrong with the car. Less then a month after getting the car it was in the shop for repair. The thermostat fell apart in their hands. It has been burning oil sense I got it in April 2021 and it is just got worse. It really sucks being my first car and they gave me a lemon!! More

BE AWARE! SUPRA TRUNK NOT OPENING 1 HOUR AFTER PURCHASE, PROBLEM PERSISTS AFTER REPAIR, APPLY LOANS FROM BANKS YOU DID NOT GIVE CONSENT TO 06/14, after getting a good deal on a Supra, decided to move for PROBLEM PERSISTS AFTER REPAIR, APPLY LOANS FROM BANKS YOU DID NOT GIVE CONSENT TO 06/14, after getting a good deal on a Supra, decided to move forward. Waited for almost an hour before I could see the finance manager. Problems started right there, Trunk does not open 1 hour after driving off the lot. Car ended up taking 2 days to fix, they have to break the panels inside the trunk to get it to open, and reinstalled new parts. Problem 1 (sales either hide problems or not knowledgeable enough to call out problems on a car): Before I bought the vehicle, I saw a loose emergency release handle dangling, asked the sales what that is, why is it dangling. Sales told me that it's the design, it's an emergency release handle. Later on during the repair, I found out that the handle is supposed to be tight, and is supposed to the clipped onto the trunk when not in use. This was a sign of problem with the car trunk, and sales was not able to or did not want to point out this problem with the car, which cause me to buy the vehicle without knowing the problem. Dealer claims they did a pre-delivery inspection, but obviously did not find the problem or even notice the dangling loose handle. So fellow buyers, you are on your own to detect any problems before buying a new car here, if you find out later, warranty there is. Problem 2 (loan Application Status misinformed): I asked specifically to finance with Bank of America since they offer a low rate. I mentioned that I have other source of income other than my part time job, finance manager did not ask me how much and thus did not put that in. He then told me that my application was declined because of address issue and what not. Next day I called up BOA, they told me it was never declined, and it is pending, lost my only chance to get the low interest rate, ended up getting interest rate twice as high. Called up the finance manager, told me that "In our world, a pending application is declined". Ok, different world that we live in. Problem 3 (trick you into buying extended coverage): After I was misinformed that my bank of America application got declined, I was told that I was approved for Toyota financial service (never agree to apply with them). I agreed, but he refused to give me the college grad discount promised by the sales if I financed with Toyota, told me I can not afford the vehicle, and he helped me out, so no college grad discount, which does not make sense. Then he goes on trying to sell me warranty, showed me monthly payment with different coverage plans. Every time I rejected him, he showed me a lower price. After rejecting him for about half an hour, he showed me a monthly payment that is just a few cents over my original monthly payment, basically free. I agreed thinking that it will be an additional few hundreds of dollars at the end, so I signed on the screen. Then all of a sudden he told me he bite down the interest rate for me so the monthly payment looks the same, Read the contract afterwards, and realized that it costs me 3000 to purchase the warranty. Problem 4 (change my loan lender without me knowing): days after the purchase of the vehicle, I got a call from the customer relation manager, and I explained the problem to her, asked for the college grad discount as promised, I was then told that I am financing with Wells Fargo now. ??? Nothing mentioned about Wells Fargo during the purchase and nothing on the contract that says wells Fargo. Problem 5 (Does not like customer to talk about laws and AUTO FRAUD): After the repair, the trunk works whenever it wants to, so sometimes I have to crawl into the trunk, and at the same time have someone press the trunk opening key outside the car to get it to open. It is embarrassing if you do it in public, and you won't always have someone to help you. I asked the general manager Greg to take the vehicle back, so that they can perform the repair they need, and I do not have to be stuck with it. I mentioned that I talked to my attorney, and realized that the car needs 4 repairs to become a lemon, and as far as I know, the car will eventually become a lemon. And also that my attorney thinks that my sales might be considered an AUTO FRAUD when dealer fails to tell me defects and problems about the car, and applies for loans with banks I do not give consent to. Greg was not happy about that, and told me that "the conversation ends right there when you brought up about attorney". When I mentioned I want to work with them and don't wanna go that route, Greg says "Oh we are going to go that route". Ok, weird request. More
I bought a used Scion tC with a cracked windshield. They had put it in the contract that they’d replace it, then later refused and insisted on only repairing it. Thus, violating the contract. I told them I’ had put it in the contract that they’d replace it, then later refused and insisted on only repairing it. Thus, violating the contract. I told them I’d drive back once to give them the opportunity to repair it, because it’s a 120 miles drive and half of my day. Then the repair wasn’t done properly. After I complained, they said to drive back again and now they’ll replace it. When they could’ve done that in the first place. The dishonesty, manipulation and lack of integrity doesn’t give me any trust in their services. I’m an unsatisfied customer. I will not be returning to Toyota of Orange. More
