Ted Russell Ford-Lincoln Parkside

Disappointed So...I bought a 2013 Ford F150 from Ted Russel Ford on Parkside 3 months ago. I take it in to get first oil change and tire rotation. Next thing I k So...I bought a 2013 Ford F150 from Ted Russel Ford on Parkside 3 months ago. I take it in to get first oil change and tire rotation. Next thing I know the service girl is telling me that my left front caliper is locked up and worn down the outside brake pad. Need to replace caliper and brake pads to the tune of $350. I asked if they were going to take care of it seeing I had only driven the truck 7000 miles. They replied "no" because it is not covered under warranty. Then a service/sales guy comes out and tells me he will knock of $60 bc I have not had the truck very long. Well I said "no" and took it to someone else to get a second opinion. When I took it for second opinion I asked them to inspect brakes and told them nothing else. They came back and told me essentially the same thing except, they would inspect caliper and see why it was locking up. Ford did not do this, they just tried to get me to buy a new one. The caliper pins were not lubricated properly which was causing it to lock up. (Why wouldn't Ford figure that out??) I had to replace both rotors and both sets of brake pads to the tune of $450. After replacing these during the test the brake pedal was going all the way down to the floor. Apparently that is a problem with the master cylinder. So I did some searching on brake problems for 2013 Ford F150's and there is a recall on master cylinders for "some" 2013 Ford F150's. Also pages and pages of complaints on braking problems just like I am having. Apparently my model has not been recalled and the dealership refused to fix the problem, unless I paid for it!!!! I just bought a Ford truck from a Ford dealership, driven 7000 miles and now having to spend $800 on a known issue and they refuse to fix! I will never buy another Ford if this isn't rectified and I will sure as xxxx not buy from Ted Russell ever again! Mystifies me why a dealership on their product, purchased from them would lose a customer over a part that probably costs them $100??!! More

Against my better judgment I recently went back to trade and I bought a vehicle here about 2 years ago and the dealer was a typical used car salesman. Against my better judgment I recently went back to trade and the experience was no better. Nobody knows anything, poor communication, unkept promises.. nobody gets in a hurry to do anything. I went somewhere else and within 2 hours drove away in a vehicle 4 years newer and 70k less miles than the one Ted Russell was trying to sell me for near the same payment! I won't be going back. More

Shane, in financing, was easy to work with and helped me make the right choices for me and my budget. He was flexible and easy going, and I could tell he was truly looking out for my best interests. Lisa was patient and gave us the pros and cons of the two trucks we were trying to decide to buy. She didn't push us and we both felt like Lisa was truly trying to help us make the best decision for our circumstances. The General Manager, Stuart, was kind, helpful and made our buying experience wonderful. He did his very best to try to save us money and truly showed he cared about us as customers. The dealership had a person come out and help us synchronize our phone with the Bluetooth of the radio. He went over the options to make sure we understood how things worked. We have bought new vehicles from many different dealers, but this was by far the best experience we have ever had.
