Do Not Go to Ted Russell Ford on Parkside Let me start by saying that I bought a $45k truck from these guys and 2 years later the battery had a dead cell. The battery has a 3 year warranty. I honestly expected to go to the dealership and get a replacement battery. I mean what is a warranty if you won't replace it when it's warranted? Russ the customer service guy at Ted Russell (who has no business working with customers or in service) actually told me "Sorry, I can't help you.". He said I would have to have my truck towed to the dealership before they could warranty the battery. I told him that I'd bought an expensive extended warranty on this truck to which he said "well good that will cover your tow.". Russ was very short and rude and his boss, Kelly, was a real people person too, let me tell you. I went to the sales manager, thinking maybe since he made a commission on me he would be willing to help. He basically got them to put it on a charger for me. They called me 2 days later and said "The battery left here is fine, just like we told you.". I went to pick it up, brought it home and put it in my truck and it was dead. I disconnected the positive and was able to charge it all through the night enough to barely get it to start the next morning. Two other places verified it had a dead cell. This truck I bought from them (the 7th and last vehicle I will ever buy from them) has now had the transmission replaced, the torque converter replaced 3 times. But that was not why I was there. I just needed them to replace a $100 battery so that another dealership could utilize the extended warranty I bought from them and fix my truck. I spent an entire week of half days off from work just to get this battery replaced out of principle. I had to go to the regional director of operations for the dealerships just to get them to warranty a battery. They traded thousands of dollars of future spend with me for a $100 battery. They basically told me I wasn't worth the potential charge back for a battery. THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TED RUSSELL KINGSTON PIKE AND TED RUSSELL PARKSIDE. DO NOT GO TO TED RUSSELL PARKSIDE. More

Service Department RIPOFF! We took a vehicle in for recall transmission work. When we got the car after repairs, the AC no longer worked. Service adviser Rich Love told us it "wasn't their fault" the AC didn't work and wanted over $500 to replace a $1 part and recharge the system. I'm in the parts business and know this part cannot break on it's own unless recharging AC or it's been tampered with. This place is an ABSOLUTE RIPOFF! NEVER AGAIN! More

They told us they were getting us a new vehicle. 3days later we were told they changed their mind. Owners have refused to talk to us. It is March 14 and we are driving a vehicle we can’t license.
