I first worked with Alex in September 2012 to find a new 2013 Escape. He did a great job finding the right car. Now my wife wanted a new car so we went back to Alex. She wanted a C-Max Hybrid, and he search 2013 Escape. He did a great job finding the right car. Now my wife wanted a new car so we went back to Alex. She wanted a C-Max Hybrid, and he searched very hard for the right car. When he couldn't find exactly what she wanted, we ordered a car that will be delivered around the end of April 2013. The service is great, and the price is good. Ted Britt gives a good price, but not necessarily a great price. They give a good price coupled with great effort and great service. More

Price was my major criteria. Despite a month-long negotiating process with those dealers, I was not satisfied that I was getting a great deal. I even contacted former dealers that I purchased from in Florida and even Ohio and California. I then began an exhaustive campaign to obtain a list of all Ford dealerships in the entire region, from as far south as South Carolina and as far north as Pennsylvania and as far west as West Virginia. Mostly, any Ford dealer within 3-4 hours drive. To my dismay, no "real" list of these dealerships and all the contact info existed that weren't loaded with issues, such as dealers no longer in business, dealers no longer selling Ford, wrong addresses, wrong phone, no contact info, etc. I used several online sources and numerous phone calls and compiled a list of over 250 current Ford dealerships in my search area, including basic demographics, and the GM or New Car Sales Manager along with their direct contact info (phone/email). This took countless hours of research online and via the phone to compile. My goal was simple. Contact as many dealers directly, bypassing the need to drive to and visit each one, describe what I need and get their absolute best offer directly from top management. I have purchased several new Ford vehicles in the past, and consider myself an expert at finding the absolute lowest price for any Ford car. After sharing some historical purchases and knowledge of the new car sales industry, management would understand where I'm coming from. Again, price was my biggest factor on what dealership gets my business. I contacted each dealer on my list via phone and email. I asked for their lowest price and explained they are competing with everyone else on my list. I would only consider the lowest offers as my basis to continue. I invested so much time doing all of this, likely 75+ hours. After compiling all offers, I again contacted only the dealerships with the lowest priced offer and attempted to get an even lower one. Once I was satisfied I found that lowest price, only one dealership was left standing, exceeding all other offers by $670, which was nearly $2000 below my best local offer. Ted Britt Ford. EXPERIENCE: Surprisingly, from the moment I contacted Ted Britt Ford, I was offered a price much lower than any other I received. In fact, I was told by their General Sales Manager, Evelyn, that's how they do business. She explained they were a very high volume dealership, often doing business directly on the web and offer prices that are truly the best. I wasn't being offered anything any other person wouldn't get. Except, they could offer me an even lower price on a vehicle they had in their inventory, as opposed to needing to order a custom one from Ford. Ted Britt had several vehicles loaded almost to my specifications, but I was dead set on getting the car exactly as I wanted. No dealer in the country had ordered that vehicle from Ford matching my specs. Do note, that my "price" includes all dealer fees, destination, rebates, etc. offered. No hidden charges one often finds out about when you take delivery. I stayed in contact with Evelyn and also Alison, their New Car Sales Manager, to finalize the price and arrange for the purchase. I did manage to get an additional $100 lower price, but that was a monumental task in and of itself. To me, I had to push as hard as I could to know that I was in fact getting the best price. FINALLY, I did and was ready to place my order. Both Evelyn and Alison were easy to deal with, professional, polite and seemed caring. I was told a Salesman, Mitch Sulkess would be contacting me to set everything up. I cannot say enough great things about Mitch. The most consummate professional salesman I ever dealt with, (and I have dealt with many!) He kept me well informed about everything regarding the vehicle order. Mr. Sulkess responded rapidly to all my calls and emails, even on weekends and evenings!. He fielded any concerns I had with care. I was well aware of the the exact status of the factory's progress building my new car, at all times. Finally, Ford shipped the vehicle to the dealership and I arranged to drive to the dealership to pick it up. I would finally get to meet the man that had been so kind to me for the nearly 2 months it took for Ford to deliver the car. The in-person Mitch is as kind as the phone/email Mitch. In fact, dealing with Mitch felt like talking to a friend. He had my car ready on-time, as promised. I was introduced to Kwin Leynes, who set up my Sync services and explained several things about the new car, as well as options. Kwin is incredibly personable and easy to deal with. Despite being at the dealership late in the evening, I never got the sense I was being pressured or rushed, AT ALL. I anticipated that there has to be some kind of catch here. After all, why is Ted Britt selling me this car for so much lower than anybody else? I expected to perhaps be pressured into buying other things or given a higher finance rate, etc like many dealerships have tried to do in the past. I would soon find out. Then, I was introduced to Linda Lafontaine, the Finance manager. I was shocked when Linda offered me a finance rate that was actually almost 1% lower than my credit union offered. Certainly, I jumped all over that! Linda then explained to me Extended Warranty and Maintenance options. She even offered lower prices than direct through Ford. Throughout this all, I never felt pressured into saying "yes" or made to feel badly about it. Everything was aboveboard and all my options were explained, in-depth, so I would make the best decisions I could. I have never had such an easy experience buying a new Ford as I did with Ted Britt Ford. A class-act, leader-of-the-pack when it comes to price and a full buying experience. I rode off the lot that evening, being the happiest Mustang rider on the planet! CONCLUSION: If you are looking to purchase a new Ford, do your research. Know what you want, then drive around to your local dealers if you wish, and get your best price. Then, either visit Ted Britt Ford in the DC area, or call them, email, or visit their website and get their best price offer. You will be pleased you did. You will not get a better offer than the one Ted Britt has. No haggling needed. No need to spend 75+ hours like I did shopping the best price. The buying experience, professionalism and caring attitude there is second to none. This may sound a bit like a shill, but my reason for this extensive review is to help other buyers, like me, save all the additional time and energy it took me to find the best deal. I am a real customer, not paid, nor have I agreed to say anything nice about anyone in exchange for anything. I want this to be clear. I will gladly submit any proof asked for regarding the authenticity and accuracy of my process and experience. If you don't want to believe what I wrote, test it out for yourself. We came into Ted Britt after another dealer could not deliver the car we had purchased. I went to Ted Britt Ford to complete a 90K mile service on my 2002 Ford Explorer. I suspected the service would find other issues with my 11 year old car (not because of a poor product, but because the SUV on my 2002 Ford Explorer. My Service Advisor, Gary Funk, did a thorough job and found other issues with the SUV that posed safety issues to me and my family if we didn't fix them. Gary explained to me the issues, prioritized the ones for me that were "must" fixes, and got me back on the road in a day. I feel Gary was honest and upfront with the proposed issues and acted like a trusted adivsor regarding my car. Gary is an outstanding Service Advisor and a huge asset to Ford and specifically Ted Britt Ford. More

We had a great experience at Ted Britt in Fairfax. We found a car online that we were interested in, and John Church contacted me to answer questions and set an appointment. Jennifer met with us when it found a car online that we were interested in, and John Church contacted me to answer questions and set an appointment. Jennifer met with us when it was convenient for us, and had the car (2013 Escape) ready for a test drive when we arrived. She was great - answered all of our questions and made the process very easy. Linda was terrific in explaining our options for financing, and gave us some great advice. Janelle gave a great overview of the Sync features. There was no pressure for any extras that we weren't interested in. We absolutely love the Escape! We started looking elsewhere (closer to home), but ended up at Ted Britt because the prices were much lower and we were able to get more car for our money. It was well worth the trip. First let me just say, that I hate looking for cars. That being said, I really enjoyed my experience at Ted Britt Fairfax. I was there looking for their Smart Wheels when my navigation unit brought me there being said, I really enjoyed my experience at Ted Britt Fairfax. I was there looking for their Smart Wheels when my navigation unit brought me there instead. I was meet by Moses, he asked what he could for me. I told him that I was looking for the smart wheels. I also told him that I didn't think I could get a car here cause my credit was "tacky". Being divorced tends to lower ones score. He said to look around, and see what I like and let him know. I looked for a little while, the he came out and said well....I told him there was a 2010 focus that caught my eye. We went in, filled out some paperwork, and then after about 10 minutes, he came back and said "we can't do a used car for you." He explained that between the upside down on my current car and the credit we would have to look at something new. Then Evelyn came out to me and asked me some questions. I told her what I had for a down payment, the amount I could pay each month and what I stilled owed on my old car. I told her that I understand that this deal might not happen, and just to point me to the Smart Wheels place. She told me to sit tight, and she will work on it! It took a few hours, but they did it! I had a brand new 2013 ford focus!! I never owned a new car before!! Later, when I was with Roxanne the finance lady, I found out that Evelyn went through 6 banks to get my payments to where they needed to be! Roxanne explained all the paperwork to me, that with my cash back on the car and the cash I was putting down it was really doubling my down payment. And that with a new car, the bank gave me 72 months to bring the payments to where I needed them to be. I really could afford a new car!!!!! After all that was done, Kwin came out and show this 48 year old how to run the Sync on the car. She showed me step by step how to connect the phone to the Sync and down load the phone book, and all the extras that the sync had to offer. I got to say, this was hands down the BEST car buying experience I had EVER had!!!! They were friendly, honest, respectful. I would recommend them highly! I even called Ford H.Q to let them know how happy I was for their service!!!! More
