Mike, Linda and Jennifer helped us purchase our new Ford Escape. Mike showed us an Escape and an Edge, we did a good test drive, Mike demonstrated the hands free system and then worked with us on price. L Escape. Linda did a great job of helping us through the paper work to finance the vehicle. Jennifer did a good job of helping me learn how to work the voice activated system and gave us a nice pamphlet to help me out as I play with the system. More
When I bought this 2013 certified pre-owned vehicle on 1/1/14, I found a couple days later that they apparently hadn't checked the wipers. This was apparently obvious when they chattered across the windshield during a rain/snow storm and left nothing but streaky dirt. (Strike 1 for Service). Today, I took it in for a license plate falling off. It appears that the original salesperson at Ted Britt not only didn't use the bolts provided by Ford, but used a couple different sizes (Strike 2 to Sales). The mechanic was apparently raised on old farm equipment somewhere in the mountains because he used Grade 8 gold-colored bolts to fasten the license plate to the vehicle (Strike 3 to Service). When I spoke with the Service Manager about this, his reply was (paraphrased), "We have some bins of bolts they use and I guess he just chose to use these." He eventually apologized, and even offered to insert square plugs into the round bolt holes so I could use normal license plate bolts. I thanked him for the offer but don't want to see what their "Ted Britt 4 Life" service experts have in store next. One of the key selling points is the Ted Britt 4 Life coverage of the vehicle -- as long as you have all service performed at Ted Britt. This creates the double jeopardy of getting a nice car serviced by people who can't check windshield wipers or install license plate bolts, then trusting them to fix something as complex as an engine, transmission -- or brakes. Scarier yet, these are the same people performing safety inspections for the state of Virginia. In fairness, the Sales Manager I dealt with when I bought the car offered to fill the tank up for the wipers, and even offered to buff out the scratches the detail team sanded into the car with dirty rags. That said, my advice is still to do yourself a favor and stay as far away from Ted Britt as possible. You will be better off going to the car lot with the dilapidated mobile home that doubles as office and repair shop. More
Back in December, I contacted the dealer about the purchase of 2014 Ford pickup they had on the lot. On Dec. 20, I gave a $1000 deposit to hold the vehicle. Credit app was submitted and received Dec 2 purchase of 2014 Ford pickup they had on the lot. On Dec. 20, I gave a $1000 deposit to hold the vehicle. Credit app was submitted and received Dec 24. Left a number of messages with NO return calls. On Jan 3, contacted a sales manager who put me in touch with Daniel, at which time he informed me that the truck sold on Dec 28. Of course he had another truck available but it was somewhat more money. The old bait and switch. More

Tedd Britt worked to meet our finance needs and within our budget, while offering a great rate and warranty on a used vehicle that typically is not available elsewhere. Steve was the consummate professional. He was well versed in the line of vehicles that FORD has in the inventory and was able to "talk the talk" without being pushy. I decided on the vehicle that I wanted and Steve delivered the vehicle. I had a an idea of a fair price and Steve matched it. From the time that i walked into the dealership to the point that I signed my intent to buy, was less than 30 minutes. Could I have negotiated for a few hundred more? probably. Was it worth it? nope. I was overall pleased with the price and with Steve's assistance. Linda made the financial aspects of the purchase stress free. She was enjoyable to work with and was not pushy with the "add ons" service contracts etc. I think that she probably missed her calling in the sales department. I would guess that she entices many customers to upgrade to one of the offered service packages! all in all a great experience. More
