Fantastic Buying Experience - 2017 Ford Fusion Despite the dealership being remodeled Andy Britt and salesman Bill Gedris worked hard to get us a great deal and provided excellent customer service. Despite the dealership being remodeled Andy Britt and salesman Bill Gedris worked hard to get us a great deal and provided excellent customer service. My family and I have been purchasing vehicles and having them serviced at Ted Britt Ford for years and, thanks to Andy and Bill, we will continue to do so for years to come! More

He was smart in offering a competitive 'out the door' price that got us to this dealership. I was initially leaning towards Koons but because of more ratings on DealerRater. When my wife and I stopped in Saturday morning Allison Lucas (General Sales Manager) introduced us to Naz Islam (Sales) . . . what an awesome person!!! He's very knowledgeable about the product but more importantly he has a winning attitude and warm approach. As we worked with him we we noticed interactions of other sales associates around and were not as impressed. If we sat with the other guys we would not have purchased a truck. It wasn't that the 'other guys' were bad, it's just that Naz is just that good. We then had the opportunity to work with another winner in Brian Forster. What a great individual. We didn't feel pressure to purchase anything, but his approach sold us and we ended up buying a service plan based off his logical approach You have winners in these guys. More
Not impressed October 19 sales visit - Saw car I like online, so I request more information - Alicia calls and emails, sounds nice, checks out details of the car October 19 sales visit - Saw car I like online, so I request more information - Alicia calls and emails, sounds nice, checks out details of the car for me, asks if I'm stopping by today or tomorrow - I text her to confirm that I'm coming, and she never hints that she won't be the one to work with me or show me the car. I thought she sounded great, competent and knowledgeable and I was looking forward to working with a woman. Is this the strategy to get you to come in? - Instead, someone calls from an unlisted number and leaves a message, that I don't receive while I'm driving, literally on the way to the dealer, and I find out later that it was the dealership who called. - I arrive at night, and the place is under construction. - "Sales" is in the back, around some corners and corridors, with a paper sign directing you through a door. - I walk past some messy offices and find a woman at her desk, who is not friendly while she’s on another call, and she calls someone to come out and meet me. I stand in the hallway not understanding what's going on. - This other woman finally tells me I won't be working with Alicia, because she is in internet sales, and that she had left me a message that I’ll be working with someone else. She calls over this other guy, Yassir, to work with me and show me the car - Yassir was very nice, but I was already creeped out by the whole experience - We test drive. I love the car. My friend owns the same vehicle, which I had driven and ridden in before, so I was familiar with it. Comments on my earrings. Asks if I'm Married or have kids (because a woman can't buy a car without considering those details for herself?). He does well with reading my body language when I don’t bother answering the question, and later apologizes, that they are taught to ask these kinds of questions to help buyers consider their needs. I was very grateful for his sensitivity, and appreciate that there is often a script to use when helping a total stranger figure out what they’re here to buy. - Whole place is under construction, dirty, and dusty desks everywhere. The cleaning crew is vacuuming and taking out garbage while I'm waiting for Yassir to do his thing for 20 min. One of the other salespeople can see that I’m sitting there uncomfortably, and eventually I stand off to the side of the desks to allow the cleaning crew to vacuum (and they do a terrible job). - Yassir comes back to show me the numbers and I'm not interested and then he walks around the corner and suddenly I can hear him negotiating with Andy Britt, about how they can't really go any lower because it's certified, blah, blah, blah. Turns out Andy’s desk is on the other side of the partition, and it’s all a big show the “2nd time around” with the negotiations. - Then Andy comes out and wants to talk about numbers, how they're giving me 4% but maybe a bank would give me 2%, but they can’t negotiate on the price of the car, the dealer fee, etc. He likes my earrings too, but he's seen them everywhere (I’m guessing that’s supposed to be a compliment?). - I then tell Andy that the whole experience made me uncomfortable, that you should really tell people that you’re under construction before they arrive, in the initial call, and tell them what they can expect and where to go when they get to your dealership, since it's around the back and through unmarked corridors. It’s the kind of customer service that I would have really appreciated, arriving at night by myself. I also mention the price, and that I know they can do better and I’m not interested unless they can get close to this particular number. - Andy then calls the next day to ask if I have any questions. I realize that seems like a good idea to him, but if I walk out of your dealership, clearly uncomfortable and upfront about how I didn’t enjoy the experience and was hoping for a better price, why would you call me and ask me if I have questions? Why not rethink the car sales experience that you gave me and call with a better price or an explanation of how things could have gone better? The ball is in your court to return with a better offer. - I also tell Andy that I was reading their terrible reviews on Yelp and Autotrader, particularly the many many comments that refer to the terrible customer service experience on the back end of the purchase, when the dealership should be honoring their “Powertrain warranty” and service deals. Ted Britt representatives seem to be terrible about calling people back, or servicing cars in a timely manner, or even honoring their agreements for the warranty. Why in the world would I want to buy a car from this company when my personal experience in their “showroom” is so sketchy, and clearly other people have problems AFTER buying the car? I don’t think Andy wanted to hear what I was saying, and that’s fine. I’ve been to six other dealerships in the area, and while I haven’t yet bought a car, I can say that this dealer is at the bottom of the list in terms of quality customer service and this is while they are still trying to win my business. Imagine what it’s like after they have your money?? - At the end of the day, I loved the car, so they didn’t need to sell that to me. They needed to sell me on the price and earn my trust, and it didn’t work. I’ve since seen their same car, still not sold, marked up by $2000 from the price that originally caught my attention. Something isn’t working here, guys. You might want to rethink your strategy. - To be fair, I don't blame Yassir and thought he was decent about the whole thing. I could tell he was trying. If both he and the car were at other dealers, I would probably work to make the purchase. I can't say the same for Andy. I've told my friends, coworkers and family about the experience and posting this review here as well. In conclusion, there is lots of room for improvement with this dealer. More
Fraud in the inducement and fraud in the execution Ted Britt Ford defrauded my wife and me of nearly $5000. I have contacted dozens of individuals at Ted Britt Ford and Ford Motor Company by email, pho Ted Britt Ford defrauded my wife and me of nearly $5000. I have contacted dozens of individuals at Ted Britt Ford and Ford Motor Company by email, phone, and letter. Ted Britt Ford and Ford Motor Company blacklisted my email address, do not respond to my letters, and the Ted Britt Ford General Manager screamed at my wife over the phone and told her to never contact her again. (The same day, incidentally, that my wife learned that her Dad was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer of the throat. What a pleasant afternoon!) I have received a recall notice a few days ago from Ford, and Ted Britt's refusal to abide by the contact we signed in good faith and to abide by the law regarding automobile safety recalls reveals the despicable and dishonest operation of Ted Britt and Ford Motor Company. Since I cannot contact Ted Britt Ford- my email address has been blocked and Ted Britt Ford and Ford Motor Company refuses to answer my written correspondence- our family faces the danger of riding in an unsafe vehicle without any recourse of repair to life threatening automobile problems. I purchased a new car from Ted Britt Ford of Fairfax, Virginia. Ted Britt Ford defrauded me of $4997.00, both fraud in the inducement and fraud in the execution of the sale. Included in the car sale were $4997.00 in maintenance and cleaning contracts. Ted Britt Ford refused to honor those contracts from the beginning and continue to refuse to honor the agreements and service the vehicle. I emailed Britt’s managers several times, seeking resolution of the problem. I emailed several Ford Motor Company executives on several occasions, attaching copies of the relevant documentation. All of the Britt executives and the Ford executives blocked my emails! I have requested a refund several times. Britt's breached the contracts, and I firmly believe, never intended to honor them. Ted Britt Ford refused to honor and had no intent to honor the contracts from the day the contracts were executed. We have asked Ted Britt Ford to refund our money as they will not honor the contracts. Five thousand dollars is a large amount of money to lose in a swindle, but especially now. Last March my wife and I learned that her dad had received a diagnosis of cancer in his jaw and throat. He underwent chemotherapy and several radiation treatments. Yesterday we learned that the treatments were not as effective as hoped and early next week his lower jaw and lymph nodes must be removed. Ted Britt Ford refused from the beginning to honor any of the agreements. Ted Britt Ford and Ford Motor Company have blacklisted my email account so that I cannot contact them regarding the problem. Ted Britt Ford has committed fraud in the inducement and fraud in the execution, and by blacklisting my email account violate federal and state Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Laws I have requested a refund several times, but Ted Britt Ford refuses to refund our money. Do not do business with them until you read this!!! I bought a 2008 Subaru tribeca limited from them. Then they gave me a month warranty within the month that I had warranty I contacted them because the I bought a 2008 Subaru tribeca limited from them. Then they gave me a month warranty within the month that I had warranty I contacted them because the engine light came on because I live in Maryland and work and go to college full time I was not able to go there in person. so I contacted them through email, and phone calls and they didn't answer me. After I put a review ratemydealer website then after two weeks later they contacted me (when warranty was over) and they said don't worry We are gonna take care of the problem and stuff so I took it to them and they were not able to fix it so they told me to take it to a Subaru dealership that I took it in the process was happening then they said that it's gonna cost $2500 to get it fixed. ever since they found out the price they are just playing me around. I have already spent 1000$ on the car also the mechanic said that they probably knew about it that is why they did not answer me at the time I had warranty on the car. More
