Subsequent to dropping $525.02 on May 6, and then $366.69 on May 19 ($891.71 in less than 2-weeks) at this dealership for my 2005 Honda Accord, I was rudely spoken to by a Service Writer. On Friday, June 6, I visited this facility to order a right spring for the trunk of my 2005 Honda Accord (estimate $80). Parts Department had taken the old spring but I needed the spring to prop up the trunk until a new one could be installed. So I returned to the Dealership. Harrison found the spring but was sarcastic. When I challenged his sarcasm he went into ‘meltdown’ and ‘in my face’ outside of the service center for all to hear; customers, staff and visitors. He continued his tirade and then turned his back to complain about me to his Service Manager. I saw no reason to remain loyal and to spend good money ($1000 in one-month) with arrogant, ignorant and confrontational people so I have found a wonderful independent Honda mechanic. More

Jeffrey Edelman I contacted the Costco sales rep (Jeff Edelman) from Honda of Thousand Oaks. I asked how the Costco pricing discount worked and whether he could matc I contacted the Costco sales rep (Jeff Edelman) from Honda of Thousand Oaks. I asked how the Costco pricing discount worked and whether he could match or beat a written offer I obtained from another Honda dealership. First he said that at this stage he cannot explain the Costco discount other than to say it’s “competitive”. As far as matching the quote I had in writing, rather than saying a simple yes or no he proceeded to tell me that I would never be able to get the particular car at that price and that I should call him back when I was serious about purchasing a car. Briefly, it was the worst exchange I have ever had with a sales employee of any kind. His inappropriate behavior was not welcomed and I promptly took my business elsewhere. I’m happy to say that I was able to get the Honda of my choice for the exact price that I was quoted. I would not recommend Honda of Thousand Oaks to any of my friends, especially Mr. Jeffrey Edelman. More

We will definitely be back when we need another new car. Jeff was pleasant, well informed and worked hard to answer all of our very specific questions. He walked with us through the whole deal and made sure we were well taken care of. We went to other dealerships who are affiliated with Costco and were less than impressed, it's a big purchase and none of the other dealerships made us feel confident in their abilities or willing to part with our money. Even the guy in the service department of TO Honda was very friendly and answered our numerous questions and he wasn't getting commission for our sale. Also, the price was better than any other dealer quote on the Central Coast. I will definitely be recommending Jeff to friends who like low hassle, friendly and knowledgable service. Thousand Oaks Honda surpassed my expectations. Thank you! More

Undisclosed fees, pressure selling, and even blatant dishonesty are just some of the tactics a prudent shopper needs to look out for. When searching for our Honda Odyssey, I contacted over 15 dealerships within the So Cal area and 1 rose to the top. Thousand Oaks Honda – specifically Jeffrey Edelman. The best way I can describe our interaction with Jeff is that he’s a partner in our car search and not the salesman. He doesn't pressure sell. He discloses everything so that you can make the right decision for your needs. Jeff understands that the value in a customer is not in the initial sale – it’s in repeat sales and word of mouth. I’m doing my part in spreading the word. If you don’t want to waste your time, leverage my experience and talk to Jeff first. I know I will for my next Honda purchase. More
Left voice and email messages for Saul (post sale) but no response. He added a warranty to the contract we did not ask for at a cost of $2895. Our trade-in turned out to have a balance that was $200 less than their estimate and they promised a refund. More than a month has passed but no refund and no returned phone calls. They are all smiles and handshakes before the sale and they totally ignore you after the sale. I realize this is typical behavior for a dealership so next time I'll find one that really values me as a customer and I'll go with them. More

Mr. Edelman completely changed my perspective of what a car buying experience is and truly substantiated how this experience should be. He was honest, well versed about the product and provided exceptional customer service in an environment that was both relaxed and pressure free. I told him my bottom line and he went above and beyond the definition of "above and beyond" to respect that; He did not try to sway me in another direction or pressure me into a financial situation that was not right for me. Instead he happily helped me explore my options, pressure free, so that I could make the right decision for me. Jeffrey Edelman and the staff at Honda of Thousand Oaks are truly one of a kind. I will definitely recommend him to my closest of friends. More
