Either Subaru’s are terrible unreliable cars that suffer from oil leaks and transmission problems costing over $4000 at just 68,000 miles or Wesley Chapel Subaru tried to scam me out of $4000. Service rep from oil leaks and transmission problems costing over $4000 at just 68,000 miles or Wesley Chapel Subaru tried to scam me out of $4000. Service rep came back telling me I needed a new transmission fluid pump ($2000) and an Oil pan for another $2000 on a 4 year old Subaru with 68,000 miles. Also, why the heck did the tech chang the oil BEFORE telling me I needed a new pan? So they could try and charge me again? At least the service rep comped the oil change after I got xxxxxx. Second opinion from a very reputable mechanic says, oil pan needs replacing but it’s only $630 (not $2000) and there was nothing wrong with my transmission, other than very minor seapage at the seal. More
