Avoid this dealer Before looking to buy a new Town & Country, we searched TrueCar and printed out the certificates that were offered. We went to Stoneridge Chrysler Before looking to buy a new Town & Country, we searched TrueCar and printed out the certificates that were offered. We went to Stoneridge Chrysler with the certificate in our hand. When we got to the dealer, the salesman didn't seem to know what stock they had, and we walked around for a while until he decided that they didn't have any Town & Countries on site. They spent about 20 minutes (while we sat at a small table) supposedly looking for something that would suit us from their available inventory somewhere down in San Jose, which they said they could get up to Pleasanton in a couple hours. Well, they were able to find one, but once the finance guy saw that we had TrueCar paperwork, he started acting very rude and insulting. I left a review of his actions on TrueCar. So they tried to get us into a Dodge Caravan, which isn't what we wanted, but they were very insistent that we should buy it. They tried to force, yes force, a black model on us, which was probably the last color we wanted, as our first choices were white, silver or light blue. Not only have they lost a sale, they've lost all business from us, as we used to take our other cars there for service (yea, don't get me started on those people either, only reason we kept going back was they're close to our home) More
BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! The salesmen were pushy from the beginning and made me feel uncomfortable. They did not honor the true car price and took my keys and registration for my trade in and would not give them back when I requested. I knew the exact car I wanted, they did not have it on the lot but told me they would have another dealer transfer it to them and I would be able to pick it up in one or two days -fine, no problem. I signed all the contracts and paperwork, signed my trade in car over and left a one thousand dollar deposit. I asked for my copy of the paperwork so I could review while I was waiting for my car to arrive, I was told that I would be given my paperwork when I pick up the vehicle. Two days go by and I call, I was told the car they 'secured' from the other dealership was sold yesterday. They immediately try to sell me a similar car, I decline. They gave me back my deposit without much fuss (I pretty sure they knew they were wrong in this whole situation). I end up going to the dealership where they were supposed to have my car transferred from (it was the only one around that had the car I wanted - even though it appeared to be at a higher price)....the sales manager told me that Stoneridge just called that morning to try and secure the vehicle (which they did indeed sell the day before) and not two days ago when I signed all the paperwork, I was told if Stoneridge had secured it when I signed everything, I would have had the car. I'm able to have the exact car I want transferred to dealership #2, the sales manager secured the car on speaker phone in front of me followed by giving me copies of all paperwork, I did not have to sign over my trade in at that time either. HERE'S WHERE IT GETS REALLY SHADY: While going through paperwork, I noticed that my monthly payment was going to be significantly higher than quoted at Stoneridge even though I was paying less in total at dealership #2. I walk through all of the financials with the sales manager and there was no way to get to the low monthly payment Stoneridge promised (unless it was at 0% financing). This tells me that they did not want to give me a copy of the paperwork because it was inaccurate, they were trying to pull a fast one on me and almost got away with it, I'm happy dealership #2 sold the car the day before. I would never do any business with Stoneridge, stay away. THESE GUYS ARE SCAM ARTISTS. I'll be posting this on any review site I can find and contacting the BBB. More
I was recommended by a friend to this particular dealership. Unfortunately my experience was quite different. I was expecting to get good customer service the same customer service my friend recei dealership. Unfortunately my experience was quite different. I was expecting to get good customer service the same customer service my friend received, which would involve having the customer leaving with a brand new car that he would be happy with and excited to drive home. In making this deal there were certain promises that were not kept. Keep in mind I do not live close to this dealership, so it is out of my way to go back to have anything that we agreed to be done with my car a little bit of a hassle. I was promised to have after leather seats put into my car and that the car would be detailed. I was promised that the sales rep in front of two different friends of mine, that the sales rep would drive to my house and pick up the car, him knowing I did not live around the corner. When I (yes me) called to try and set up arrangements for this pick up to have work done on my car, he said on the phone he never promised this and I would have to take it there. OK... this is when all the headaches began. After arguing with the sale rep who supposedly sold me the car (that's another story) he finally after a few phone calls said he would pick my car up. So days later he did. Mind you, I did not wash the new car, kept plastic on some parts because I figured everything would be taken off after the leather seats were put in and then detailed. This dealership said it would take two to three days at the most. Well when I called on the third day the car was still not ready. The next day I was called by the sales rep and he said they had to keep the car for another day because they just now got my car back. Day four I get a call saying they wanted to keep it because they needed to detail the car now. Day five they said it is ready and we will drive it to you. I said OK. Car arrived, sales rep wanted to hand me the keys and not wait. I asked him to stay so I could check the car out. Well, well .. the car WAS NOT detailed. He said yes it was. I asked and took pictures of course and pointed out how there was garbage still in my car, marks still left on the windows from the stickers that they had on the car. the leather was coming out on the console in the back the bunching on one of the seats in front and in the back two seats by the seat belt entrance. He proceeded to tell me it is what it is. Oh yah, he threw in that he filled it up!!! I did not receive any paperwork from the after market leather shop to show proof of where it was taken and my lifetime warranty. Asked sales rep about that.. again I get it is what it is ATTITUDE!! Really??? So now I have to figure out how to get this so called reputable dealership to fix the wrongs that they have done so I can get into this vehicle everyday and be HAPPY about it, not to feel like I have a thorn in my side. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP AND BUY A NEW CAR...If I get treated like this for a new car, just think how you'd get treated buying a used one!! i did see some of the reviews on this dealership.. i guess I was hoping to give them the benefit of the doubt! I was wrong More
Not sure where to begin but to warn anyone who goes to Stoneridge Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Dublin dealership for service to expect delays and lack of empathy regarding your issue or repair or worse for them Stoneridge Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Dublin dealership for service to expect delays and lack of empathy regarding your issue or repair or worse for them to do nothing which is what happened to me. What's worse is that I left feeling unheard and dismissed by the service writer and tech about my warranty claim so I tried calling the service manager - I called several times, and left numerous messages, but never received a return phone call. Unbelievable! 3 strikes - you're OUT! That said - save your time and avoid the frustration and head straight to Concord and ask for Brian. Not only did Brian take me seriously and treat me with courtesy and respect but he properly diagnosed the problem by separating it (Dublin claimed my modifications were the reason for the noises I was hearing) from the modifications made to my Rubicon (currently running a 3.5" lift with 35" tires) and fixed the most annoying wobbling noise coming from my brake pedal. The noise was so bad and so bothersome that I couldn't accept Dublin's conclusion that what I was hearing was "normal". Luckily for me, Brian agreed that the noise was far from "normal" and made the repairs as I was preparing to dump my new rig which only had 2,500 miles on it! Brian definitely saved the day - I can't say enough positive things to describe my experience and overall satisfaction for the folks in Concord. They truly understand the value of their customers and aren't afraid to do the work!. Sadly I can’t say the same for the people in Dublin. More
I brought my vehicle in because of an A/C problem. They charged me $157 for a "diagnosis" that they never did. The problem was there was a noise coming from the compressor. If they had pu charged me $157 for a "diagnosis" that they never did. The problem was there was a noise coming from the compressor. If they had put the vehicle on a lift, they would have seen that the A/C clutch was not engaged, so the compressor wasn't moving at all and the noise was coming from the clutch and flywheel assembly. If they turned the A/C on, they would have seen that the clutch still did not engage, so they never examined it with the compressor moving. They gave me an estimate of $1534.38 "as a favor." But they did NOT give me any sort of diagnosis with the estimate. I asked them repeatedly for one but never got one. I replaced the clutch myself for $144 so I could tell by looking at it that they never touched it. I filed a complaint with the BBB and heard back from the dealership. I told them that the problem was the clutch and they told me that the compressor needed replacing anyway because of the bearing. They had no way of knowing about a bearing problem (there was none) without removing the clutch plate, which they never did. They never touched the pulley or coil either even though both needed replacing and pulling them off for inspection would have been a necessary part of any diagnosis. How did they suddenly decide I had a problem with the bearing after several months, yet they never mentioned it when I got the estimate and could not give me a written diagnosis? If they had turned the clutch plate by hand to turn the compressor shaft, they would have felt the grinding from the clutch and pulley so there was no way of knowing whether there was a bearing problem. Changing the clutch entails removing the clutch plate, the pulley and the coil, which are sold as a unit. All three were bad, and with them removed it was easy to see that there was no leakage from the compressor and the shaft turned smoothly. They might have gotten away with it if they had given me a "diagnosis." But as the estimate was written I was suspicious and decided to do some checking myself. That's how I found the clutch problem, and that what was on the estimate was unnecessary. Even if they did change the compressor, they would have recovered the refrigerant by law, yet the estimate included $90 for refrigerant when mine was 100% full. More
Nav system on 2006 Jeep commander not working and disc would not eject. System said "insert disc." I indicated that I did not remove the disc to my recollection and thought it may be stuck. Took it to se would not eject. System said "insert disc." I indicated that I did not remove the disc to my recollection and thought it may be stuck. Took it to service at Stoneridge Jeep in Dublin. They said it would be $157 to diagnosis the problem. ok. Diagnosis was supposed to take 1 hour. 2.5 hours later, report said there was no disc. I requested more details on the diagnostics that they did because I thought the disc was jammed. 45 minutes more of waiting, they said the guy was at lunch and they would return my $157. Which they did because I wasn't going to leave until I knew what they did for the $157. Called Nav company directly and they told me to try to insert any DVD. I did, it wouldn't take it and behold the stuck nav disc popped out. Complete waste of almost 4 hours, no diagnostic service and not pleasant to deal with. More
Was forced to this dealership after mine closed, the experience had with the service writers was less than desireable. It was if I was bothering them with what I had paid for, I guess warranty work isn' experience had with the service writers was less than desireable. It was if I was bothering them with what I had paid for, I guess warranty work isn't very profitable. I had returned a rental car after my vehicle was worked on and the service writer said just leave the keys, my response was,"Don't you want the check the gas, mileage, and check for damage?". I was asked if I had a camera on my cell phone and if so take pictures. They couldn't even walk outside. Then my vehicle was left, not under the canopy, but across the driveway with the door open. The man that drove it up just left without saying anything. My most recient experience is that I called for an update on my vehicle, I gave my name and vehicle description, and was put on hold for 20 minutes, I called from another phone leaving the first one still on hold and told the operator (20 feet away from service) to please tell the service writer I was still on hold and pick up. Another 25 minutes passed and still no pick up, I had to leave so I hung up. When I returned home there was no message on my machine or a call on my cell phone even thought they knew who I was and why I was calling. If this doesn't answer "Why" please notify me for more. More
