I really appreciate how Scott took care of everything with my 2022 Accord. I had just left work after a long day and noticed the vehicle would not accelerate beyond first gear. I made it to the service c with my 2022 Accord. I had just left work after a long day and noticed the vehicle would not accelerate beyond first gear. I made it to the service center about 30 min before closing and Scott took charge and had my car ready to pick up the following day before lunch. He called me first thing the next morning to explain what the issue was, what was being done to repair the problem, and that my warranty covered the repair in full. You can't ask for any better service than that in my opinion and Scott did a great job! More
Unnecessary add on $895 For 1 year tire, windshield, Key fob, repair. Not negotiable. They claim to ceramic coat all new cars but use substandard application. Do not buy ceramic coating warranty $1400. fob, repair. Not negotiable. They claim to ceramic coat all new cars but use substandard application. Do not buy ceramic coating warranty $1400. This dealership adds a non negotiable add on for $895. for a 1-year tire repair, windshield repair, key fob replacement. The dealership claims to apply a ceramic coating to all new cars, but the application process is subpar. We recommend that you do not purchase the ceramic coating warranty for $1400 and instead use a non-dealership business to properly ceramic coat your new car. Our salesperson, Dominique, provided excellent service and kept us informed about the status of our order. However, we recommend that you compare pricing outside of Huntsville before making a purchase. Have had previous Pilot serviced at this service center and have been very pleased with service. More
Too expensive! !! Will be looking for alternatives. 3% fee on credit cards is unreasonable. May have to switch to another brand vehicle. !! Will be looking for alternatives. 3% fee on credit cards is unreasonable. May have to switch to another brand vehicle. More

Jackson Pohl was always responsive through calls, texts and emails. He checked in on me during the buying process without being annoying. After the sale, he maintained his responsiveness and professionalism in making sure my wife and I were still happy with the vehicle, to include doing a couple modifications/fixes we had discussed during the sale. Jackson, was knowledgeable of the vehicle (2025 Honda Odyssey), the previous models, the new vs. used inventory and the general pricing/options. When he did not know an answer or did not have the authority to approve something, he made me aware and quickly got an answer from the manager & got back to me in a timely manner. I would buy through Jackson again. Micah Daniels made the negotiation process collaborative and not stressful. This is the main reason I ended up buying with Shottenkirk Honda Huntsville. Other dealers I was working with were making the sales/negotiations process feel deceitful; I understand the dealer needs to make money out of the deal but I prefer a collaborative approach vs. a confrontational one or one where the dealer leaves me feeling like they screwed me. John Peltz also contributed to the relaxed process. He made the financing details clear and understandable without making me feel like there were any hidden "gotachas." When discussing extras (i.e. warranties) or loan terms, he heard my stance on it and respectfully tried to convince me a bit more but quickly realized that I was firm on my wants so he did not annoyingly persuade. I appreciate that! Over the years I have steered away from buying at dealerships because of the stress the industry puts buyers through. But Shottenkirk Honda Huntsville may have cured my PTSD from buying from a dealer. I had interfaced with this dealership when it was Damson Honda, my wife also knew some of the Damson family as she trained their dogs. When it changed to Shottenkirk, I was afraid it would lose the personal/local touch which the Damson family had been known to provide, but the current Shottenkirk team is living up to the same values. If I were to buy from a dealer again in the area, I would pick Shottenkirk Honda Huntsville as my top choice. In regards to the vehicle design: I was shopping for a minivan between Kia Carnival, Toyota Sienna, and Honda Odyssey. Looking at both brand new and also used (as old as 2020). We (family of 5) were coming from owning a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan that we drove daily and on family road trips; we put ~100,000 miles in 4 years. The Caravan does have better internal storage organization and compartments. But the lack of reliability of the Caravan throughout our ownership steered us away from Chrysler brands (we spent ~$6k in repairs in just the last year of ownership/after 150k miles). In comparison to the newer vans (Kia Carnival & Toyota Sienna). The Sienna only came in hybrid and we are not fully onboard with the hybrid model, mostly because we keep our vehicle long term and I don't want to be stuck with a big battery refurb bill later. Also, the styling of the Sienna was not as attractive. At first we fell in love with the Kia Carnival, primarily due to styling both inside and out. The 2025 redesigned grill is beautiful (SUV like), so are the interior color options (specially the tuscan umber). But the materials and parts on the Kia felt/sounded cheap. The Honda had the feeling/sound of better quality materials. Things we would have wanted on the Odyssey: more hidden storage compartments (vs. open faced). Cloth seat options (a preference I know most don't share, but it is less upkeep for a busy family to maintain looking new). Things we like: Color (SGP), performance (engine acceleration, but a "sport mode" would be nice), magic seats (even if Dodge stow-away is more useful), head room in the back, deep/wide rear 'trunk' well, actual buttons on main dash functions vs. all touch screen. If you want more details, feel free to reach out. -Victor Vega More

She called to schedule a follow-up, and the lady on the call wasn’t very courteous and said “there was nothing they could’ve done,” essentially washing her hands of the problem. Upon arrival for the follow-up, the service guy, nice like always, said that it isn’t unusual when they check the cabin filter, for items to fall down in to the blower motor. The lady on the phone shouldn’t make comments on things she may not understand fully. The service dept cleaned the blower fan out, and all is well. While the cost was minimal for the clean out, my wife did have to take another morning off work and pay for something that wasn’t making any noise when she first dropped it off. That didn’t seem like excellent customer service to me, and is the reason, along with the lady on the phone call, that I cannot give a 5-star review. More
Whenever dealing with Shottenkirk, formerly Jerry Damson Honda, I mainly have dealt with Scott Rocket. Scott is always professional and genuinely attentive to providing the best service possible.
