New Car Buying Process I had driven my old car for ten years. I was not knowledgable about the new technologies. I preferred leather seats, and our salesman assured me they could be installed and not look like an after market addition. I was concerned about the look, but once I chose the leather and it was installed I was very pleased with the end result. Thank you for answering all my questions through out the entire process. More

Last Thursday 10/30, after searching online and findin Hello all, I never post negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share today's experience. Last Thursday 10/30, after searching online and finding a used car that I liked at this dealership, I called and spoke with Anthony. I started negotiating with him and then got a call back from Mike. Mike and I agreed to a price and I started working with a lady in the Business Office to set up financing. My credit score came back in the 700+ range, so I set up an appointment to see the car today, Monday 11/3. It was all set up for 3:30pm for me to come in and pick up the car. I took the day off work, withdrew a sizable down payment from the bank and drove the three+ hour trip from Charleston, SC to this dealership in Charlotte, NC. I arrived at the dealership at the agreed time and was told, "I think we sold that car." They scrambled to get Mike to come speak with me because Anthony was "with another customer" and, once found, Mike basically looked at me with a dumbfounded expression. He told me that they sold the car on Friday. Then he asked "Is that the only car you wanted, or would you be interested in another car?" At that point I was just trying to figure out if a massive company like Rick Hendrick has ever trained/ educated their staff on Customer Service/ Conflict Resolution. Mike seemed incapable of mustering any modicum of empathy. In fact, the only thought he seemed able to conjure up was, "even though you've wrecked this guys day off and sold the car he drove three hours to buy, DO NOT TO LET HIM LEAVE WITHOUT BUYING A CAR!!". I asked the simple question," Mike, why didn't you call me to let me know you had sold the car?" He looked at me with this blank stare, thought to himself for a second and then uttered, "Well, often times people don't show up." Wow..... The best explanation that Mike could come up with after: A.) negotiating a price B.) pre-qualifying with their in-house financing C.) scheduling an appointment to meet them and sign the paper work was that I would probably not show up. Again, I don't post stuff like this and do what you want, but I would strongly recommend you go somewhere else. Also, FYI, if you see a car in their inventory you like, you can get it from another Rick Hendrick dealer as they all draw from the same pool of pre-owned cars. You do not have to deal with the poor Customer Service you will assuredly experience at this location. Just my two cents. Consider yourself warned! More

Excellent People. Excellent Work Ethic. I had the pleasure of working with this dealership a number of times. The dealership is managed by Rick Hendrick which is a part of Hendrick Automotiv I had the pleasure of working with this dealership a number of times. The dealership is managed by Rick Hendrick which is a part of Hendrick Automotive Group and some other entities. The Executive General Manager is John Bratton, who I got to meet after a positive experience at their sister dealership in Monroe (Hendrick Chevy and Cadillac). I dealt with a Manager there named Chris Boone who by far showed superior customer service, before, during and after the sale. Every time I had a question I would receive an easy friendly person to talk to at the dealership. After I purchased my vehicle I ended up going back to the dealership because I had run into an issue with the Onstar account, and the dealership was friendly to help me (EVEN AFTER HOURS)! I stopped by unknowing that they had closed 25 minutes prior, and instead of telling me to come back, the rep just came outside and fixed my car that was stuck on an Onstar screen and showed me how to do it the next time. This go around I am working with the dealership in Charlotte because it was more convenient for a vehicle I am looking to purchase. Their brand and service promise still stands strong. The dealership shows that they are governed by strong rules about taking care of customers and that they work hard to ensure that their customers are satisfied. I got to work with John Bratton who answered some questions for me, and I must say he is a hard worker, and no-nonsense type of guy. He will not waste your time and will put you with someone who cares. Reflecting on my visit the other day, I must say that even when things don't go your way, the people care about you at this dealership. Sidney "Sid" is one of the best reps here that works at this dealership and he has a great personality! Easy to talk to and likes to joke with you treating you like a person, and not a sale. It was clear to me after dealing with him that he isn't in car sales for the wrong reasons, he genuinely cares about people - as has everyone else I have met at these dealerships. Hendrick drives a hard bargain in their industry, you can't beat the service, quality and team that they provide. Go to Hendrick when you want your next vehicle! More
Tripp Wilson is by far the best service writer that I have come across. Having owned 60 cars in 14 years I have ran across a few. After dropping off my Suburban he had a diagnosis before I made it back to work and within 2 hours had the work completed and ready for pickup. Thank you Tripp and City Chevrolet!!! A++++ A.Hicks More
