Coming home from NJ to Boston after Memorial Day weekend in our Outback we had a boot over our trans-axle U joint blow out (car has 100,000 commuter miles on it) spraying grease all over the engine and creating what can only be called a disconcerting amount of smoke. Called sister (also Subaru owner) and she looked up nearby dealers, found Ramsey and called them who then called me back all within about 5 minutes. And they essentially took it from there, arranging towing if needed though after we figured out what it was we realized it was safe to drive a couple of miles to the dealer. We arrived at closing time and they worked with me for over an hour to get me a car, they then let me use a sales demo for the night and even allowed me to drive it back to Boston (my wife had to get back for a meeting the next morning) and return the next day to pick up our car after being serviced. Picked the car up the next day and they even had it washed. The car has been running great ever since. The whole time the customer service crew at Ramsey bent over backwards to help us out. Much thanks to all there. One more reason why we own 2 (yes two) Subaru's and why we will likely be Subaru owners / customers for a very long time. So thank you Ramsey and thank you Subaru. Nice Job! There are not enough nice things to say about my time at Ramsey Subaru. I found it the most enjoyable experience thus far when buying a car. Not only was the entire staff there very professional but also Ramsey Subaru. I found it the most enjoyable experience thus far when buying a car. Not only was the entire staff there very professional but also very down to earth and easy to talk to. I made it clear to them that I just wanted a fair price and that I understood it was a business. They told me how much money they owned the car for and how much they would be making. I felt it was a reasonable price and it wound up being less than I was offered at nearby Subaru dealerships who I felt were not straightforward with me from the beginning. I have bought/leased two cars since my initial transaction and am now on a first name basis with the Manager Josh who is always a pleasure to speak with. I cant speak for everyone obviously but I know I had a great experience. More
The staff at the dealer was a pleasure to work with (Chris Wallin and Jerry Finance). We negotiated the price of the vehicle (which was the best price around) in less than 5 minutes (no hassle of spea (Chris Wallin and Jerry Finance). We negotiated the price of the vehicle (which was the best price around) in less than 5 minutes (no hassle of speaking to layers of management). The car was immaculate when we picked it up (freshly detailed). Sales and finance did a wonderful job getting my wife and me into our first Subaru (Black/Black 2011 Forester Premium XT). I strongly recommend this dealership. It's very clean, the atmosphere is great and the sales folks are not aggressive sharks. A+++ More
Without a doubt the best experience I've ever had buying, or servicing my car! I live in Connecticut, but traveled to Ramsey Subaru because they gave me the best price and the best trade-in price for my used or servicing my car! I live in Connecticut, but traveled to Ramsey Subaru because they gave me the best price and the best trade-in price for my used car. I used the Auto search tool which is part of the USAA members website. A local CT dealer (Georgetown Subaru in Norwalk, CT. ) wouldn't honor the price which they had previously agreed to with USAA, and they low-balled me on my trade-in, hoping I'd buckle in the negotiation and pay more for the car. I walked out their dealership and immediately called Ramsey Subaru in New Jersey and spoke with Shane Chiuchiolo. Within 20 minutes on the phone, my deal was done! The next day I drove to Ramsey Subaru (about 35 miles from where I live in CT ), and walked out with my new 2011 Subaru Outback a short time later. They gave me the best price on my trade-in, and despite the financing I had already set-up, they offered many different options in which to choose from. -- If you're going to buy a Subaru and are anywhere in the vicinity (100 miles or less), give them a shout and see what they can do for you. The experience will be well worth it. No hard sell, just nice and honest professionals making a living and the best price; they beat every dealer on price hand down! -- I recently went back to have a few options installed, and again I had an easy and trouble free experience. They honored the prices of the options previously agreed upon, and handed my car back to me cleaner than when I drove it in there. -- I have nothing negative to say about Ramsay Subaru, or their employees. If I buy a Subaru next time, I'll definitely but it from them. More
I placed an order with Liberty Subaru and was willing to wait. Realizing patience is not my virtue, I decided to look for available inventory and one member on NASIOC told me Ramsey Subaru has a 2011 WRX Li wait. Realizing patience is not my virtue, I decided to look for available inventory and one member on NASIOC told me Ramsey Subaru has a 2011 WRX Limited Red w/ Navi on their showroom. I said I was interested in the car and my NASIOC friend referred me to Joshua Jacobson (General Sales Manager). We exchanged emails with prices offered to me on an ordered car from Liberty Subaru. Joshua matched everything and even though Red was only my 2nd choice color, I decided I'll take the car. I ended up few hundred below invoice, which is great since a lot of dealers are taking advantage of the limited production from Japanese plants and selling vehicles at or above MSRP. Cory Fetcowitz handled the final sale and delivery. One thing too, there was a rear bumper moulding that was factory-installed I asked them to remove. When it was removed, small bubbles formed and I was asked by Josh if I want the mouldings back, or have the bumper repainted. I asked for them to repaint it and I wasn't charged with it even though it was my request to remove the factory-installed mouldings. All in all, they gave me everything I asked and I could never be any happier with my purchase. Josh matched everything I asked and then some. They have earned my business and I will definitely be a return customer since they have a network of makes which I'm interested in getting after I'm done with my WRX. If ever you need help from Ramsey Subaru, look for Cory Fetcowitz or directly to Joshua Jacobson. They're the BEST! More
My experience at this dealership was terrible. I was considering a couple of other dealerships to purchase my new Forester, but decided on this one because of convenience to my employer. I found the sal considering a couple of other dealerships to purchase my new Forester, but decided on this one because of convenience to my employer. I found the salesman pushy and acting as though I owed him something. In fact, when it came time for me to do a review of the dealership for Subaru, the salesman called me up and asked me if he could fill it out for me because he needed a good review. This makes me question any of the positive reviews I read about this location on the web. How many of them are filled out by actual employees of the dealership? UPDATE: I have removed the name of the salesman after I originally posted it online at his request. He called and told me this review was going to hurt his wallet. When a friend of mine drove my Forester, he told me that he wanted to purchase one as well. I told him about my experience at Ramsey, but he decided to try it anyway. He ended up leaving after meeting with the Salesman and going to another dealership where he felt much more appreciated. I payed off my car a couple of months after purchasing it, they didn't send me the title as I had been instructed they would. I called the person who handles Finance and left a message for him to call me back, which he didn't. After calling again and getting through, I explained why I was calling and was quickly transferred to a phone that rang for 5 minutes until it hang up on me. When I called back to speak to the Title person, my phone inquiry was handled in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner and she told me to check with the bank that handled my financing. I spoke to the bank and they told me they don't handle the title - it should be with the Dealership. I called the title woman back and she told me that I had to go get the title from the DMV. When I told her I had paid a $195.00 fee to them so they could handle the title and wanted a refund since they weren't going to provide the service, she simply repeated what she told me the first time and told me there were absolutely no refunds and continued to repeat herself as if I was too dense to understand what she was saying. I would never subject anyone to the kind of unprofessional, frustrating and just plain bad customer service they have in abundance at this dealership. They have lost me as a return customer and I will now go onto every website I can find to share my story so others don't have to put up with their incompetence. More
I always dread having to purchase a car because I find I always dread having to purchase a car because I find the process so unsavory. At least this time, my choice was clear after having had a great ex I always dread having to purchase a car because I find the process so unsavory. At least this time, my choice was clear after having had a great experience with a Subaru Legacy. I do a lot of driving and having a Subaru really changed winter driving for me. Now I just had to find the right dealership. I had done research on the internet and had visited several Subaru dealerships in the tristate area. Ramsey had the best selection of what I was looking for and it was a wonderful experience working with Kyle. He was very knowledgeable and really listened to what my needs were. The best thing I can say is that he treated me as if he were looking out for me instead of trying to rack up the price of the sale. The whole process from deciding which car to purchase, to trading in my Legacy, to making arrangements to pick up the car was totally stress-free and he worked with me every step of the way. Ramsey Subaru and Kyle will be the first place I look next time. More
I had been to a few Subaru dealerships in the area and this was by far the best for service. I had done most of my homework on the web, and was working with my insurance buying service. This dealership this was by far the best for service. I had done most of my homework on the web, and was working with my insurance buying service. This dealership had the best pricing (even with the buying service) and overall a very good experience buying a new 2011 Outback. Some places don't want to deal with a woman, but I have bought the last 6 new and used cars that we have owned over the years for myself, my husband and the kids. Shane was very pleasant to work with. More
Purchased a 2011 Subaru Outback via web sales department. Checked Consumer Reports, used their online pricing service, and was directed to Ramsey Subaru. Did not speak with or see any salesperson until I pic Checked Consumer Reports, used their online pricing service, and was directed to Ramsey Subaru. Did not speak with or see any salesperson until I picked up the delivered vehicle. Was told the specific model I ordered (out of the ordinary set of options) would take 2 weeks to four months to be delivered. Had to wait four months, but was given updates via e mail and answers to my questions via e mail that were straightforward and transparent. Price was outstanding, better than any competing Subaru dealer in 50 mile radius. Delivery experience was very positive; vehicle was ready and paperwork processing was straightforward. No hard sell for options I did not need. More
My air pressure light has been on since day one. I went to the dealer within the first few weeks to ask about it and was told the problem is the cold temps. I said ok but the light never went off. I trie to the dealer within the first few weeks to ask about it and was told the problem is the cold temps. I said ok but the light never went off. I tried adjusting the pressure with no luck and eventually got use to it. Now, when getting new tires, they discovered that I am missing a sensor on one wheel all together. Of course now my car is out of warranty and Ramsey Subaru wants to charge me almost $200 for a part that was broken when they sold it to me. My sister has an outback she got from them. They broke her windshield while fixing something there and denied it. There was a mark from a tool at the base of the windshield but told my sister that she must have done it. She had to argue with them for a while, making a scene until they admitted to it. Worst dealership ever. Go to any other Subaru dealership and aviod the hassel! More
