I was shopping for a new Subaru Outback and had visited a local dealership. I had seen through an internet site that I could get the same car for about $1500 cheaper through Ramsey. The local dealer warned me that all these sleazy NJ dealers lie to get you in the showroom, and then jack up the price once you are there. Still, worth investigating, cautiously. After a couple of quick phone calls to Alex at Ramsey, my nerves were at ease. Alex was patient and responsive, answering all my questions to my satisfaction. He even followed up in an email to confirm what we had discussed, including the vehicle, options, accessories, and price. Alex set aside the exact car I wanted (the local dealer was going to have to locate a car), and even gave me the VIN number. Since the dealership is about 60 miles away, I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to have to make 2 trips. Alex assured me they could do it in one trip, taking the time to get the insurance squared away, and getting all my information into the computer. On the day of pickup, we arrived at the showroom. Alex had the car prepared and ready to go. After we signed the paperwork, he even took the time to explain every feature of the car and help get my phone connected to the hands-free system. All in all it was a very painless transaction, required no negotiation, and I got exactly what I wanted for an amazing price. I wanted to wait about three weeks since I purchased my auto to wirte a review, making sure everything was going okay and that Ramsey Subaru was timely in getting my plates. Cory was definitely a low-key low-pressure type saleperson. The price I paid for my used car (not a Subaru by the way) was very fair based on my research. The dealership did a great job in prepping the car, and even though the four matched tires appeared to be in very good condition, they replaced them with 4 new ones. Even changed the drive belt. One recommendation is that they should reduce or eliminate doc fees/auto prep fees. More
