Bill Mills helped me get what I wanted and needed in a Jeep Patriot. He was patient and answered all my questions. This place is comically bad. They're sloppy, unprofessional and just plain ol' dopey. My first Grand Cherokee blew a cylinder head after a year and the General Manager, Rick, explained the caus unprofessional and just plain ol' dopey. My first Grand Cherokee blew a cylinder head after a year and the General Manager, Rick, explained the cause of my issue as "you drive too much". I brought my second GC there last week because the check engine light was on and the engine was racing. The took over a day to look at it before resetting the codes and telling me it was fine. I drove 3 miles and the same thing happened. It was obvious by the odometer and the snow on the car's roof that they barely looked at the car in the garage. I get too annoyed thinking about the ineptitude at this place so I'll cut this review short. More

My vehicle was a total loss due to a tree crushing the Jeep Wrangler during Hurricane Sandy. Originally went to Route 46 Jeep Dealer, what a terrible experience. Then we went to Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge of Jeep Wrangler during Hurricane Sandy. Originally went to Route 46 Jeep Dealer, what a terrible experience. Then we went to Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge of Ramsey, NJ. What a refreshing experience. A salesman approach my husband and I right away, his name is Walter Brown. We made a deal within 40 minutes. Walter Brown went out of his way to find the vehicle we wanted the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport in the Billet color. He even drove down to Port Newark to get the vehicle personally to pick it up. He went over and beyond. Please give him recognition, he greatly deserves it. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone what a wonderful experience. Thank you. brought my 2001 jeep in to find out why the check engine light was on. i had installed a rebuilt motor, the engine was running perfectly but the light kept coming on. the diagnosis was that the engine was o light was on. i had installed a rebuilt motor, the engine was running perfectly but the light kept coming on. the diagnosis was that the engine was out of time. i authorized further diagnosis and was told the engine was 180degrees out of time and the serpentine belt tensioner was broken in two. a broken tensioner would be noisy and the battery light would have been on since the belt was not tight...there was no noise or battery light. in order to check the timing i was advised the belt tensioner had to be removed. i had to have the tensioner replaced or tow the vehicle away.when i examined to "broken" part there was pry marks next to the freshly broken part of the bracket. i did not believe the engine would run 180degrees out of time so i took it to another dealer who replaced the crankshaft position sensor which corrected the problem. i will never visit ramsey jeep again, will advise everyone i know to keep away at any cost. their carelessness and lack of diagnostic ability caused me un-necessary expense and frustration. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR SERVICE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF. More
First, of all - I did not purchase a car here. MY experience with this dealership comes from shopping for a new car there and having a vehicle serviced there. First, and foremost - their prices a experience with this dealership comes from shopping for a new car there and having a vehicle serviced there. First, and foremost - their prices are insanely high. I guess because they are located in an affluent area they can try to get people to spend a lot more money than they should...I was quoted on several occasions lease payments for a Jeep Grand Cherokee that were atleast $85 more per month than other dealerships quoted me...Leaving out the details, I was quoted a lease payment of $585 per month on a car that I ended up leasing the very next day for $500 per month at a dealership in NY. Ramsey didn't even seem to want to make a deal, so I walked out. I just feel bad thinking about all the people that go in there and spend thousands more than they should - its disturbing. Second, their service is horrible. I had a Dodge Charger serviced there because the fuel gauge would not read above half a tank, regardless how much fuel was actually in the tank. They had my car for two days - they told me they replaced the sending unit on the fuel tank, and did all this other labor....Well, when I picked the car up and filled the tank, the gas gauge still did not go above half! SO i ended up going to another dealership for the proper repair. You would think they would have double checked to make sure they fixed the problem - especially with a fuel issue! I had visited this dealer previously for tire repair issues, and those experiences were poor as well - nothing to really comment on, other than it took forever, the customer service isn't very friendly, and they could never find my work ticket when i went to pick the car up. If you're shopping for a new car in North Jersey - do not go to Ramsey Jeep. They prey on people who don't do their research and even try to rob the people that do... More
I live in NY and leased a Nissan from Ramsey Auto Group about 18 months ago. I was so impressed with their knowledgeable sales staff and service that I looked to do business with them again a few days ago about 18 months ago. I was so impressed with their knowledgeable sales staff and service that I looked to do business with them again a few days ago when leasing a new 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. I had the pleasure of dealing with one of their long time employees, Stephen Ippolito. He was very straight forward, had excellent knowledge of the product and called back when he said he would. Even though Stephen was a 40 minute drive, $11 more per month and my locate dealer was around the corner from my house, I opted to lease from Stephen. My local salesperson had very little product knowledge, guessed at answering my questions, gave wrong answers and seemed more into sizing me up than serving me as a customer. Stephen was professional, I completed everything over the phone and through email. The Jeep was ready when I got to the dealership and my wife even commented on how pleasant the Business Manager was. Overall a 5 star transaction! I will definitely refer many of my friends and family members to Stephen. More
This dealership is sloppy all around. For starters you can't reach them via phone. I've called several people on a Monday afternoon and NO ONE answers the phone. AND there is no voicemail.
