Ford is not my true pick of vehicle as I am a Chevy girl, however, I didn't choose a Chevy as the sales folk were less than tasteful in their tactics at the dealership in Grand Haven. On that note, I took a look at several other vehicles including Mazda, Kia, Toyota, Ford - from this area and surrounding areas. Chad "Ducky" Gitchel was the salesperson I dealt with at Preferred Ford in Grand Haven. He was just awesome! I don't think I've ever met a more helpful and polite salesperson before. He brought vehicles to my home for me to test drive, had paperwork on them for me, worked out numbers and had them all in hand when he arrived with the vehicle. He targeted everything I was looking for in a vehicle that I had requested. I surely cannot say the man is not thorough. In the end, despite all of his hard work, I decided to lease a different car from another dealership. He was supportive of my decision and I truly feel he has the customer's best interest at heart and he will make the best deal for you as he possibly can at all times. He knows the decision is yours, and it is a big one. I guarantee when my lease is up I will be going to visit Ducky first thing. As to a downside, they need to work on parking for customers in their lot. I am disabled and the one time I was there they had new trucks parked so they were blocking all of the handicapped parking spots. More

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS LYING, THIEVING PLACE This is my second bad experience with Preferred Ford of Grand Haven. Today I picked up my car after taking it in to have the drivers side seat heater This is my second bad experience with Preferred Ford of Grand Haven. Today I picked up my car after taking it in to have the drivers side seat heater repaired. They misunderstood or blatantly didn't listen to what I asked for upon calling for service and replaced the blower motor in the vehicles heater. They tried stating when they tested it, it was blowing cold air. I drive this car on a regular, if not daily basis. The heat worked FINE and fast. The ONLY thing that didn't work was the SEAT HEATER which is specifically what we asked for. Furthermore, when we called in for service, they put us down for a oil change. We REPEATEDLY said NO OIL CHANGE. Guess what? They did the oil change. They credited it back. So I make the trip home to discover the seat heater isn't working. My husband called to discuss this. They gave the spiel about how they repaired what they thought we asked for and even said the heater was blowing cold air. I LIVE IN WEST MICHIGAN WHERE IT IS FRIGID COLD. I would know if the xxxx heater wasn't working! So now, they are putting it on us! I paid $400 for what I thought was a seat heater repair. That's specifically what we asked for. They took it upon themselves to repair the wrong thing. And now I'm out $400 and didn't get any repair that I needed or asked for. I will be contacting Ford Corporate immediately. I knew better than to take the care to them this time. A year or so ago, we took it in for an oil change and a tire rotation. They LOST the center caps to my wheels. They tried to act tough about it, but we did get replacements. Do yourself a HUGE favor and avoid this place like the plague. They lie, cheat, and steal your money all because they can't listen and have zero integrity on holding up their end. More

While our first experience with them last week was what I considered brash (only considering our budget needs by pushing alternative financing), we st While our first experience with them last week was what I considered brash (only considering our budget needs by pushing alternative financing), we still decided to try and purchase a vehicle from them. After triple checking with the sales associate about the availability (who received the sales manager's go-ahead on a sale approval we received last week) and after waiting a half an hour at the store location, the manager came over and said they were choosing to sell the car to someone who had a higher offer! No care about customer service - all about the money! We have made three different trips (1 hour round-trip each time) to secure this vehicle, spoke on the phone to the associate countless times, brought in a pre-approval letter, and **they have the audacity to tell me the car is being sold to someone else as I had already began the purchasing process!** Our experience with Preferred Ford was the worst we've ever encountered, and even if the price might be right, the customer service is absolutely unacceptable! Take your money somewhere else. More
