I live 3 hours away from the dealership and my car was delivered to me in an unacceptable condition. The alignment was visibly off upon driving and the car had an intense smoke odor. I obtained a report p delivered to me in an unacceptable condition. The alignment was visibly off upon driving and the car had an intense smoke odor. I obtained a report prior to purchasing stating that maintenance and inspection (including a wheel alignment and brake work) had already been performed. However, upon taking the car to my own dealership they stated that most of the report was either inaccurate or completely false. I came out of pocket for repairs and was only reimbursed a third of what I paid. I would not recommend this dealership at all. More
Ford is not my true pick of vehicle as I am a Chevy girl, however, I didn't choose a Chevy as the sales folk were less than tasteful in their tactics at the dealership in Grand Haven. On that note, I took a look at several other vehicles including Mazda, Kia, Toyota, Ford - from this area and surrounding areas. Chad "Ducky" Gitchel was the salesperson I dealt with at Preferred Ford in Grand Haven. He was just awesome! I don't think I've ever met a more helpful and polite salesperson before. He brought vehicles to my home for me to test drive, had paperwork on them for me, worked out numbers and had them all in hand when he arrived with the vehicle. He targeted everything I was looking for in a vehicle that I had requested. I surely cannot say the man is not thorough. In the end, despite all of his hard work, I decided to lease a different car from another dealership. He was supportive of my decision and I truly feel he has the customer's best interest at heart and he will make the best deal for you as he possibly can at all times. He knows the decision is yours, and it is a big one. I guarantee when my lease is up I will be going to visit Ducky first thing. As to a downside, they need to work on parking for customers in their lot. I am disabled and the one time I was there they had new trucks parked so they were blocking all of the handicapped parking spots. More
