I had a GREAT experience with Aubrey Farrare at Pohanka Honda. He immediately offered me a very low price for the Pilot I was looking for. He answered all my questions, and was a very straight forward salesman from the beginning. The price he gave me had other salesmen saying his price was very "aggressive" and then trying to jump through hoops to earn my business. I got a lot of "I'll check with my manager" from other dealers, followed by either no response or an attempt to change the subject ("But we're giving you free pinstripes!"--when my question was "Can you beat this price?"). Aubrey was head and shoulders above the rest, both on the phone and in person. There was no BS, no double talk, no bait and switch. Just an honest guy, good at what he does, knowledgeable about his inventory, who wanted to earn my business. And he did. When another dealer offered me $100 less then Aubrey's price, I still went to Aubrey because I could tell my experience would be much more streamlined with him. Aubrey definitely delivered a smooth sale, and he matched the other dealer's number just for good measure. I would HIGHLY recommend Aubrey and Pohanka Honda, the entire team there made it incredibly easy, low stress and fast for us to settle on a price, get our vehicle and move on. Thank you Aubrey! I will recommend you to anyone shopping for a new car. More

My first experience buying a Honda was in August 2007 at the Marlow Heights Pohanka Honda. I must say at first I was a little skpetical to purcahse a new car but when I walked in the door Karlton Barclift the Marlow Heights Pohanka Honda. I must say at first I was a little skpetical to purcahse a new car but when I walked in the door Karlton Barclift turned my skeptisim into smiles. Mr. Barclift was very knowledgable, friendly, respectful and patient while handling my transaction. I was able to not only recive a fair trade for my 1997 Mazda but I also recieved a great deal on my 2007 Honda Accord. To this day Mr. Barclift has still been a great help, anytime I have an issue with my car, I can contact Mr. Barclift and he still assists me to this day with my Honda. I am thinking about purchasing a Honda Pilot this year, and when I do I am headed straight to Pohanka Honda and see Mr. Karlton Barclift. More

We were recently in the market for a new Honda through AAA's New Car Buying Program, and one of the referred dealers was Pohanka Honda. I received a flood of emails and phone calls asking if I was intere AAA's New Car Buying Program, and one of the referred dealers was Pohanka Honda. I received a flood of emails and phone calls asking if I was interested, and I sent an email response indicating that I would like a comprehensive estimate including tax, tags, and titles in my state. About 24 hours later, the response I received was an inquiry of whether I was still interested. I thanked the dealer for her time but indicated that since I didn't receive a response I had considered other dealers. She responded with a fairly crass email indicating she never received a response and did nothing to try to salvage the deal. I found this conduct to be unprofessional and rude. Also, the poor grammar and spelling errors in the email correspondence leads me to believe this is not a dealer that appreciates quality. More
Awful dealership. They quoted me a price on a vehicle and when I went into purchase vehicle, they said they made a mistake with the price and tacked on another $1,800 to the price. The manager never bothered to come and talk to us, and Mr. Leake knew we were coming into see him, but didn't show up til hours later! Do not go to these con-artists! More

Mr. Aubrey from Pohanka, on the other hand, sent me his final price in a simple email - an itemized quote including all fees and taxes. B> Best Price. Aubrey offered me a deal,it was the best price I had researched out.The final 'out the door' price I paid was the one emailed to me on the 1st day by Mr. Aubrey.No haggling required, simple and straight. C> Service The entire car buying process was smooth.Pohanka had the car ready for me when I got there.I reached around 7pm on a weekday, and the entire process took less than 1.5 - 2 hrs. Mr.Farrare was extremely fair, helpful, courteous and not one bit pushy. I would highly recommend him as well as Pohanka. More
I received a recall notice and call to schedule an appointment. Upon arriving at 7:00 AM, I informed Dean that I would leave the car all day since I was working. He told me that it should take no mo appointment. Upon arriving at 7:00 AM, I informed Dean that I would leave the car all day since I was working. He told me that it should take no more than 4 hours. Again I stated that I would return about 4:30 PM. Around 3:00 PM (8 hours after dropping the car off), I received a call from Dean telling me that my car would not be ready today and I could pick it up tomorrow. I told him that I dont have a second vehicle and I would need another mode of transportation. He stated 'Honda does not provide loaner vehicles'. I stated that due to their error, they need to provide me another mode of transporation and I was not taking no for an answer. I also reminded him that he called me with less than 2 hours before I was to pick up the vehicle. Again he kept repeating the phrase "Honda does not provide loaner vehicles and there was nothing he could do to accomodate me". I asked if there was a checklist regarding recalls and the parts needed and if so, had the technician done that before he disassembled my car. He never answered but again stated "my car is not driveable and it would be ready tomorrow when the parts arrived:. After a few choice words on my part, I told him he had two options when I arrive at 4:30 PM: (1) Have my car or (2) Have a loaner. I requested to speak to his manager but he informed me that his manager had gone for the day. I then requested to speak to any manager on duty and he told me no one was available. In my mind I am wondering how does a business operate if there are no managers on duty. I said you need to put me on hold until you find someone that can provide me with a better answer. After 5 minutes on hold, he returned to tell me that they would provide me with a one-day rental. After all of these issues, I do not plan to take my car back to Pohanka Honda of Marlow Heights for any service. I was a loyal customer who took my Accord to their facility for all of my services even oil changes. I felt disrespected and no accomodations were made to rectify the situation until the very last minute. More
