ONE STAR BECAUSE ZERO STARS IS NOT AN OPTION! Yesterday, I cleared my afternoon schedule and went to Parks Ford to see a truck that has been advertised on their website for over a week at $46,624 Yesterday, I cleared my afternoon schedule and went to Parks Ford to see a truck that has been advertised on their website for over a week at $46,624. Online, that price includes their $1,299 Dealer Fee, their $599 Electronic Filing Fee, their $327 Private Tag Agency Fee, and a deep discount because it’s a 2025 model that has never been sold. I test drove the truck and was told about “Parks Perks” done to each vehicle they sell which includes ceramic paint coating, plastic protection on door edges, and front window tint. To me, calling it a “perk” implies it’s an added benefit of doing business at Parks which would also imply that said perks come at no additional charge…more on that shortly. After getting back inside, the salesman came back and said he was so sorry, but his sales manager, Joe Cox, told him there was an error or glitch with the website and that the actual price was $54,000. Additionally, that price did not include the “Parks Perks” I mentioned earlier. Those three items add another $3,950, and something else called LoJack adds another $899 bringing the truck that is still today being advertised at $46,624 to a grand total of $58,849. We all know in 2026 a website can be corrected immediately. There’s no way after at least a week online this “mistake” was only discovered yesterday, and there’s no way that $12,000+ “mistake” wouldn’t be corrected by now. It’s still on their website at the same price because it’s intentional. It’s how they trick people to get them on the lot. There are numerous other vehicles advertised at prices I’m sure are also “mistakes.” I did later find buried in fine print it takes several clicks to get to some mention of the “Parks Perks” and “LoJack” fees, but Parks Ford and Joe Cox are practicing deliberately deceptive false advertising and the classic bait and switch tactics that make the public despise auto dealers. The truth is, had they advertised the truck at $55,000 instead of trying to pass off the lie of a website problem, I would have bought the truck yesterday. What’s even worse for Parks, and they didn’t know it, is that my friend who came with me was going to buy another truck they were advertising. This is not my first negative experience at Parks Ford, but it will be my last. Hiding behind fine print doesn’t make this practice any less of a lie. Don’t be fooled into wasting your time with these liars. It’s no wonder they have reviews disabled on their Facebook page. More
