Volvo yes, Palisades Volvo NO I am not a review writer, and I am not one to get my ire up, but on those occasions where others not only fall short of the mark but do so with stunni I am not a review writer, and I am not one to get my ire up, but on those occasions where others not only fall short of the mark but do so with stunning malice and callous disregard, i feel obligated. I bought a car from Palisades Volvo. They did the normal shifty car salesmen bit, but that is the cost of doing business these days and has noting to do with this review. The problem arose when I was letting my 6 year old explore the new vehicle that weekend. He was in the back and reached under the seat and screamed because he had poked his finger on something. I thought it was part of the seat or some mechanical, however, upon slinging the seat forward I found a used condom, and an uncapped syringe atop shards of auto glass. The rest of the day was spent at the hospital. I called Palisades Volvo on Monday, spoke to the sales manager about what happened, and was told that they were "Sorry." And that has been the sum total of their response to the situation. Never called me back when we got disconnected, won't return or take calls, and can't even help me understand how this could happen, or assure me that it wouldn't happen again. I can only guess at what the circumstances were that led to those items being under the seat of the car, but there are not that many scenarios that fit the facts. That coupled with the response (or lack thee of) leads me to believe that there are some very fundamental problems with this dealership, that they are aware of these problems and are unwilling to correct them. Don't go here. Buy your Volvo elsewhere. More

Amazing Experience This was my first time visiting Palisades Volvo. I had received great reviews from family and friends about this specific dealership, and I wouldn't This was my first time visiting Palisades Volvo. I had driven volvo's in the past and wanted to go back to driving a volvo, but was a little uneasy about not knowing anyone at the dealership. I knew I wanted to buy, but buying a car can be very overwhelming. When I walked in I was greeted by Dimitri, a salesman. He was great with helping me learn about the perks/ and "flaws" of each type of car, and how each car can offer various features. I was amazed with his knowledge of the cars as well as being professional and having a warm personality. I never felt rushed or pushed to make a decision ( besides my actual need for a car). After going through the fun details of colors and body styles Dimitri did extensive research on what was available ( whether on site or off site) he called a couple of places to see availability and found the model, and color I was looking for. He made my experience very stress free and spent a great amount of time ( after buying the XC60) to teach me about the cars. I couldn't be happier with my new Volvo and with the service that was provided. More

Superior Service, Sincere and Knowledgeable People Since I have been buying or leasing cars at Palisades Volvo for over 15 years, I guess that marks me as a loyal and satisfied customer. With the lease on our Volvo wagon about to expire, I stopped in to their showroom about a week ago. I was pretty certain we would lease another Volvo but, candidly, since a few of the salespeople I knew had retired or left, I thought I might "shop around" and visit other Volvo dealerships as well. I was greeted by Dimitri, a salesman I had not met before, and after spending 30 minutes with him I was reminded why I kept returning to Palisades Volvo. He was warm and honest and thoroughly professional and he also displayed an amazing knowledge of the two different cars we were considering --- one of which was a recent addition to the Volvo line. He was simply exceptional. In short, we leased another car at Palisades and Dimitri, not only thanked us for our loyalty --- which is the easy part --- but factored it in to the deal we struck, which is the hard and more sincere way of showing appreciation. A postscript--- two hours after we drove away from the dealership in our new car we noticed a minor issue with the front passenger seat controls. We returned to the dealership just as they were about to close but Dimitri ,who was off the following day, took the time to write a note to the service manager explaining the problem. The next day I arrived around lunch time and a technician put his lunch aside and took care of the problem in about 15 minutes. Great people. More

Let's be real, Everyone is wary of buying a car, especially out of necessity. It feels rushed and you don't know if you're making the right decision. Let me assure you however choosing Palisades Volvo alleviated any concerns I had. Reputable, friendly and efficient. Every question I had was met with a thoughtful answer and every fear I had was assuaged by the amazing staff at the dealership. I had the pleasure of working with Chris Kinder who was always readily available and truly invested in helping me get the car I wanted. He was straightforward from the outset and that's something one truly appreciates given the stereotype of a typical car salesman. There was never a point that I felt something was being hidden or that I was getting the run around. I'm now the proud owner of a beautiful Mazda3 and it's all thanks for Palisades Volvo and Chris Kinder. I would recommend this dealership based on my experience alone, but the cars themselves are of the highest quality. I called Palisades Volvo knowing nothing about them. They encouraged me to come right in, but I feared stalling out in very heavy Christmas traffic on the mall/store lined road to them (Rte 59) So they told me to come in Saturday. They were a little busy but quickly took me, identified the issues, and completed the repairs in a very short time. Jeffrey Urbina was extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. The service tech, whose name I regret not remembering, was the same, and very clear about the problem and repair. I was a total stranger from another state, and they had little expectation that I would ever be there again. Yet I was treated like the best long standing customer they ever had. I have driven only Volvos and Saabs for the last 35 years, and although I always expected first class from these dealers, I was often disappointed. But not at Palisades. It is definitely World Class. Thank you. More
