Upon entering I was greeted by a salesman (Cameron Samad), who directed me to the service center. After I scheduled my appointment I decided to look around at the new vehicles and reapproached Cameron, since I felt he was a personable, to get some info on the Crosstrek. He gave me the rundown on the vehicle and took me outside giving me a tour of the dealership and the vehicles on the lot. Though I wasn't really expecting to test drive any vehicles, Cameron made the offer, which I couldn't refuse. He got the dealer plate and we took the vehicle out on the road. Not only was the ride better than I expected but Cameron knew his stuff and further interested me in the vehicle. That day I traded my Impreza in and got into a brand new 2019 Crosstrek. The deal was not forced and I was (and still am happy) about my decision. I do wish that the dealer would have included oil changes and tire rotation into the deal, as that is something I will have to pay out of pocket maintenance for but it isn't necessarily a deal breaker but I was slightly disappointed about it. Other than that, the overall experience was great and if anyone is looking for a salesman, Cameron Samad is your guy. More

When I went in there were no tricks or gimmicks which is us heard of these days...I would highly recommend Miguel, Steve and Open Road subaru More
NO "slick sales tricks" Sales/Manager actually "LISTENED" Having walked away from 3 other Suburu and 1 Toyota dealers, I found the sales person, Miguel, and Manager Stephen S, at Open Road Suburu, actually "l Having walked away from 3 other Suburu and 1 Toyota dealers, I found the sales person, Miguel, and Manager Stephen S, at Open Road Suburu, actually "listened" to what I was interested in purchasing without arguing with me about why I should buy what was on the lot. I spent 8 Saturdays in the summer visiting dealers in order to purchase a car, cash. I knew the car I wanted specifically whether Toyota, Suburu or Honda, and found these experiences torturous until landing at Open Road Suburu with Miguel and Stephen. My car search gratefully ended after closing a reasonable deal (I did the Happy Dance that I no longer had to be tortured visiting other dealers! After the initial hump of not wanting to give SSN, my experience in purchasing exactly the car I wanted with exactly the option I wanted, was a pleasure at Open Road Suburu in Union NJ with customer service being front and center with Miguel and Stephen. I have already recommended to 2 friends who are looking to replace their current Suburus, and would certainly purchase another vehicle at this dealership. More

Extremely pleased This is third Subaru we’ve either purchased or leased from this dealer. Our last deal was a lease requiring a creative approach to my problem. Our pri This is third Subaru we’ve either purchased or leased from this dealer. Our last deal was a lease requiring a creative approach to my problem. Our prior Outback was involved in an accident ( not our fault) with 8 months remaining on the lease. I asked the dealer if they would take back the car without my performing the necessary repairs and I would assign my insurance recovery to them for the required repairs. I also asked if they could burn off the remaining lease term which apparently Subaru does not have a policy for doing. Through the combined efforts of our salesperson Alberto Valencia and the sales manager Stephen Stoop, they were able to drive down a deal on a new 2019 Outback that came very close to matching my prior lease terms on a 2017 Outback with a reasonable down payment that was considerably less than my outstanding lease payments. After working with my insurance company and satisfying themselves that the insurance proceeds would be forwarded as well as field checking the insurance adjuster’s estimate, we closed a transaction the next business day. I would recommend this dealership as evidenced by our repeat business with them. More
Walked Out while dealing with a "Sale person" I deal with Open Road BMW so decided to stay in the family as I get great service from them. Wanted to purchase a Crosstrek, when to OpenRoad and to I deal with Open Road BMW so decided to stay in the family as I get great service from them. Wanted to purchase a Crosstrek, when to OpenRoad and took a test drive. Got passed to a sale person after the drive. Sale person never introduced himself, so never even got a name or business card (Strike 1). The salesperson search for a car, which he was able to get within a couple of weeks. He found a car, I asked for a price. He told me I had it via the internet quote, my response. The cars had different a VIN, he priced it and in fact, the price was not the same. Why as a customer should I do the work to validate a price? (Strike 2). During the 30 mins I sat at his desk, he stepped away at least 3 times, each time for over 5 mins. The last time he disappeared, I got up and walked out of the showroom (Strike 3). The salesperson had a car I was interested in, gave a decent price and I was ready to ask for the paperwork for purchase, but no excuse for bad customer service. I left as I'd rather pay more for good customer service than save a few for bad. There are good sales people out there and bought the car a few days later from one. More

Accessories ordered for my car were used for some other car. Had to make several trips just to get all the things I had paid for installed. Mgmt doesn't even want to talk and has no regard for customer's time. I would not recommend this dealer. Wish I had gone to some other Subaru dealer! More
Refusing contact when it comes to warranty refund Bought a car from here, the GM at the time was good which was why I got the car from here. I also bought a warranty which is refundable. The person in Bought a car from here, the GM at the time was good which was why I got the car from here. I also bought a warranty which is refundable. The person in charge of the warranties is not picking up calls nor is he returning my calls. Will try again, then I will send a certified mail, if no response again within a reasonable amount of time, I will seek a lawyer. Customer service shouldn't end as soon as you've gotten paid... More

His communication was terrible and wouldn't respond to requests. They included a $200 fee for laser etching the VIN on the vehicle and said it was a "mandatory" practice at their dealer. If it is mandatory then they can pay for it and not charge the customer. The finance person was rude and wouldn't share any numbers in advance. Their ability to take care of DMV issues for a purchase from someone out of state were atrocious. Overall, a sketchy place I would not deal with in the future. More
