I wanted to deal with dealerships via email, since I knew what model and options I wanted, and didn't want to waste time driving all over. Other dealerships were up front about pricing and financing options, what model and options I wanted, and didn't want to waste time driving all over. Other dealerships were up front about pricing and financing options, and even had the ability to complete a ballpark valuation of my trade in using internet tools. The response to my inquiries to Open Road was "come down and we'll match price," rather than providing me a competitive price as requested. By the time they followed up to start asking for the info they needed to value my trade, I had already corresponded with three other dealers, received offers, and was sitting in a showroom signing paperwork. The buying experience was not the worst as long as you know what you doing. But service. 4mths and still no part that was ordered by the service manager after he called me about being unhappy about my ser know what you doing.
