Amateur Hour Professional Hustlers Monday night: Inquired about a used car online via North County Ford website clicking “get my e-price”- someone followed up the next morning (Tuesda Monday night: Inquired about a used car online via North County Ford website clicking “get my e-price”- someone followed up the next morning (Tuesday) to give me said price, which was in fact the advertised price online and no different (great e-price). Then I asked about what the price would be “out-the-door” and this person said to add approximately 10% which I took away to discuss with my wife as the car was for her. Later Tuesday, the dealer called me again to see if we were still interested in the car, where I said yes but we’d like to know out-the-door price before driving an hour down to dealership. This person, told us OTD price which was closer to 20% above the advertised price and explained it had some dealer added LoJack feature which we wouldn’t need and now made the vehicle $1200 more expensive- I said we’d pass on the car given it sounded like the initial call was “bait” to get us down to dealership. Wednesday (Today) I called to see why they try to force a feature such as LoJack onto customers who don’t particularly want or need it. I was speaking with George from internet sales this time and before we got too far, he ran some numbers and told me a great price that we both agreed on. I asked if we can give a deposit on the phone to buy time either tonight or morning to close deal. George said that he couldn’t hold it, but he could send someone to pick me up this evening which was an awesome gesture- I agreed on a time and sent him all my info via email to have paper wok ready when I arrived. Fast forward 1 hour (40 minutes before they were to pick me up) and they called to say the car sold- xxx kind of service is this place operating- now wonder if it was all more bait to get me there and or they just hustled someone else- very unprofessional and North County Ford will “never” get my business. I see they have poor review anyway so par for the course- one of the worse dealerships I’ve experienced and will never purchase a car from here- will also file complaint with Ford More
I was charged over 500.00 for labor and no break down on why. I have a new vehicle under warranty but interestingly enough they found that my AC wasn’t wasn’t working due to rodent chewing my wires. The parts were not replace but repaired and it took 4 hours to repair wires??? This was our first time here and will kit be returning especially since there was oil on my car and the attendant tried wiping it but just smeared it. Won’t be returning and beware More

This negative leadership does not make me confident to bring my vehicle into this dealership for servicing anymore. More

I had to find out what was really going on little by little as we progressed thru the leasing process. Much safer to buy a Ford at the many other southern California dealerships. More
In and out quickly! I just needed a routine service (oil change, etc) that was part of our purchase plan. I was told to allow 1.5 hours for this, so I was prepared to sta I just needed a routine service (oil change, etc) that was part of our purchase plan. I was told to allow 1.5 hours for this, so I was prepared to stay and get some work done in the waiting room. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to have the service complete in half an hour! Made my appointment mid-afternoon. Maybe that helped - but I was a very happy customer. Thanks, guys! More

However, the majority of the times that I have had to bring it in to have parts updated/replaced or for factory recalls, the service dept has been friendly and worked with me to accommodate my schedule and get the work done as soon as and as quick as possible. Not what I paid for The trouble it takes to get an appointment is inconvenient and makes for a hardship. The phone I rarely answered in a reasonable time frame. Getting all questions answered about the visit takes too long because they don’t know the answers and default to “ask your service rep when you get here for your appointment” why would I be making the appointment if I don’t know that my car’s needs will be met? Scheduling online could help make this a bit easier. Utilizing the warranty that I paid BIG buck for is hard to access when they don't believe you when you have full cost coverage for things like manufactured defects or a rental car while yours is in the shop. They tried to tell me I didn’t meet the minimum service hours to cover a rental. I had called 4times to ensure a rental would be no problem to get back to work in which requires traveling. The thought of having to reschedule for a 3rd appointment just about put me over the edge after I had already dismantled my car and all the kids car seats. I had to push for what I had paid for and made all the right preparations for. It takes too many appointments to get anything done a diagnostic appointment, then a wait for parts to be ordered and then another appointment when the parts come in. Surely more parts could be kept on hand or when a customer calls for the initial appointment to tell you what is wrong the parts should be ordered at that time this would avoid the needless 2nd visit. Car wash? Really? You can’t offer a car was after all the money we spend? Common curtesy would be a nice touch. Plus the fact that making me wait for a specific assigned representative is a waist of time. When other personnel are available they should grab the next customer. This isn’t like waiting for an appointment with your primary physician. More
