A turn-in fee was mistakenly posted to my Honda Financial Services account (and sales tax on it). As Joe had told me this would be waived as we were going Honda to Honda, I contacted him via email about the problem. Joe was on it immediately. And it took several follow ups on his part with HFS as they were not especially responsive. But the fee has been waived as I write this, and it was great to have an advocate to make it happen. More

Humiliating response and treatment This past Wednesday 1/31, I brought my CRV-EX-L AWD, 2 weeks new and purchased, in for a problem with my radio, specifically FM reception. I explained This past Wednesday 1/31, I brought my CRV-EX-L AWD, 2 weeks new and purchased, in for a problem with my radio, specifically FM reception. I explained the matter to the intake person in service/repairs. I explained that the situation was very strange, but that I videoed the issue to substantiate my claim. My claim was that the FM reception was fine with some crackling at exit 51 LIE and as I reached exit 43 on the LIE, it would turn into pure static (my commute to work). These stations are BLI 106.1 and 95.7. The young man said "I hear the static on the video, 106.1 should come in crystal clear. Don't worry we will look into it and call you during the day." I received a loaner, #14 Blue CRV similar to mine, and drove to work. 106.1 and 95.7 came in fine on the loaner, with that I felt assured that Honda would fix the problem. Later as promised, he called stating that they re- set the radio to the factory defaults and it should be fine, but if there are any problem call back right away. Now because the radio stations play fine in Smithtown and locally, going home from Honda all was fine. Thursday morning basically the same thing. Nothing but static. I called the service department, related the whole story again and made an appointment for Tuesday the 6th. Later the receptionist called me asking if I wanted to speak to Kevin (the intake person) and explain the problem, I said no, but that I would call him back at 5pm after work. Around 5 he called back. That's when the conversation went wrong. Once again I explained what happened. He stated that he could not repair a car that he could not verify that was fixed. He further explained, with the help of a colleague in the background, that 106.1 was a patchogue station and because I was too far towards the city, it wasn't coming in. I work in the Forest hills, Rego Park area( but that was not where the problem occured it was at exit 43 in Nassau county) I assured him that -that couldn't be the case because several of my coworkers, in Queens, just bought CRV's as well and their radios work fine, and that- that would mean if you owned a CRV in queens, you would not get those stations in at all. Then he asked if 107.9 came in, and it did. After consulting with his colleague, He said "See, that's because it's a city station. The other ones are on LI." (Absurd) Then I told him that in the loaner car #14, 106.1 came in just fine. He kept on asking me What kind of car? was it like yours? (This was just to get advice from his colleague because I could hear them talking., And this was after he put me on hold several times. Then Kevin said that his colleague's wife works in queens and he will call her when she gets to work on Friday to ask her if she gets 106.1, so she could verify my claim, and if he could have my number so he could then call me back.... ( I believe he meant his colleague cause he has my number already ) With that incredible response. I said "excuse me are you calling me a liar?... You want your friend's wife to verify my claim? is she a mechanic? I provided you with a video and you clearly heard the static. It was verified..you don't believe me?"..... Then He suggested that I take it to another Dealer in queens so that they could verify my claim because he can't fix the car without verification that it was repaired. I stated that I would call back if it wasn't. Then I suggested, since this conversation was getting out hand, that I would come in on Saturday and perhaps he could go with me for a ride to check it for himself (verification because I'm must be lying) He said I'm not going to queens with you.. and went back to confer with his colleague... I could hear them talking.... really funny! With that I just hung up. These responses were so beyond.. I can't even tell you.. I have never been so humiliated, never been treated so poorly by a service department. Never has my integrity or honesty ever been questioned or challenged in such demeaning manner. So here I am, with a 2 week old car that I purchased, and a radio that's not working properly. Basically, I have been insulted and told to go somewhere else.
