On April 19 I brought my car to the service department because of erratic/rapid/alarming speed reduction while traveling in cruise control. On May 3, I picked up my car from service again for the same reason, having been left to be test driven to see if the same rapid speed reduction recurred. During the 9-mile test drive the spontaneous reduction did not repeat. Therefore, the cruise control was declared operating as designed I have taken my cars to MOP for over 25 years and each service representative has been very professional, with a pleasant approach to discussion of any issues and questions I have presented. However, my experience with Chris Scorcio was an exception to that. When I talked with him about the conditions in which my car behaved erratically while in cruise control on a 3,000 mile trip across 5 states) He became argumentative over the highway speeds I traveled, questioning whether I even know with accuracy the speed limits posted where we were driving (i.e., 70 mph and above). His inaccurate point being that there is nowhere in Oregon, for example, where 70 mph is posted/allowed. Oregon and other state’s speed limits, as indicated on the internet, say otherwise. He appeared to me to be very arrogant in his self-perceived expertise and I saw him as quite ageist in his conversation with me, implying that I didn't have any sense of how cruise control works. This car I own now is the latest in the line of four Mercedes I have owned with cruise control. I had watched during that trip for obstacles ahead and close to the highways, changes in posted speed limits, vehicles in front and anything else that would suggest an appropriate response from the cruise control. He even, as the Repair Order Detail states wrote: "note, recommend client to read operators manual for the basic operations of DISTRONIC PLUS". I found this insulting. Poor customer service, came in for a window repair and the mechanics messed with something else and broke the mode dial. came in and wanted to charge me for diagnostic and to fix it. Great customer service, quick and easy for maintenance work on car. The reps are very knowledgeable and good at explaining things or finding someone who knows how to answer questions. Shorthanded and I would like to talk to a person when I make an appointment not a n AI. Everyone is polite and the lounge area is nice. I also know that the check list they say they performed is not trustworthy. I know my windshield washer hasn’t worked for at least a year and it was checked as okay.so why even say you preform the check? I’m sorry if this is so negative . I have been previously been happy with the service except for the cost. I have bought 2 Smart Cars from this center but now that Mercedes no longer sells them I feel like they want to sweep us under the rug. More
The advisor and Service Dept. are incompetent. I went to dealer 4 times saying that something is wrong with car and requested that they test drive to diagnose. I always wrote dow are incompetent. I always wrote down the mileage each time I would drop off the car to see if they are really test driving like they said they would. Each time they said “It checks out fine, no problem “. Obviously too stupid and lazy to even notice the problem it has. Utter lack of concern or knowledge to correct the problem. The 2nd time I went for a service B and the advisor then said you will get a customer survey , but please contact us before filling it out to address any issues. Well I did have issues, so i called back at the advice of the advisor and thought they would check the car again as a courtesy. I was under the impression they wanted to do a good job to get a good review. The diagnosis was ‘All OK” They ended up charging me 253.99 to diagnose it the 3rd time even though the advisor said to bring it in before I wrote the review. I definitely left a bad review then and lo and behold the service advisor called again and said they want to fix the problem. Stupid, stupid me….. I believed him and took the car back in the 4th time. I said you HAVE to drive it to feel the very rough vibration and shifting. He said ok, ok. Advisor called and said 1 ignition coil was out and it was about 3:30 pm and my car would be finished the following day. I texted and called about 45 mins later to tell him I should wait because I couldn’t afford it after already paying $3,200 for the other work He goes ‘Oh, the car is done already. I said how can it be done when you said 1 hour ago they didn’t even start and to pick up the car tomorrow afternoon. I really had the feeling that he was outright lying and I was dealing with a shady business!!!! Never again will I go to Portland Mercedes, it used to be a respectable, professional business that took pride in their service but not anymore . I wish I would have seen all the terrible 1⭐️star reviews on Google before taking my car there. More

Very disrespectful staff. I was discriminated against working with Christopher service advisor and his manager Bella. They want me to pay for the diagnosis, and informed that they need the car two day for diagnosed, and you don’t provide loaner car. Christopher proceeded to tell me that they only give loaners to owners of 2016 models or higher. So. If you have anything older than that don’t, they don’t give you loaner car. You will receive the lowest customer service because of your car model. Then the interaction with Christopher made it feel very uncomfortable and discriminated against because we don’t have a new car. Not only that. I went there the same day I did the service and asked for Chris, they said he will be right with you, I had to wait with my newborn outside for almost an hour to wait for him.
