I was extremely disappointed with my service advisor Rodney Rivers. He did a poor job updating me with the status on my car. I brought my 2018 c300 car in for service b maintenance. Also, my left vent Rodney Rivers. He did a poor job updating me with the status on my car. I brought my 2018 c300 car in for service b maintenance. Also, my left vent knob by driver seat would not turn and cold air was blowing in from the outside. The service advisor did not notify me that the car wasn’t ready until 4:26pm After bringing the car at 7:30am. I was text with big invoice stating I needed to replace the vent motor and because where was located behind the panel and motor would be $2,800, plus $1,300 for the maintenance b. I immediately reach out to him to better understand. He really didn’t have much too add or at suggest alternative for the vent. He said my car would not be ready for pick up until the next day. I really felt like how can a brand new car motor go out one vent and this has to be be a defect on the part. I call him back at 5pm no answer text him to see could they just replace the knob or put another vent in to close the vent. It had been extremely cold due to the weather. He finally text the next morning he response “we’ll the panel is back on and car is ready.” I asked could the part be put his response part not in stock. I text back can you order he final yes. I’m very upset of the lack of concern and communication to the customer. I truly believe this is defected part on the left vent and it never work because the knob couldn’t be turned. Now I wonder it all the other vents go out and each vents will be $2,800. I love my car and had no problems with it but I extremely disappointed with my advisor and no alternative by the dealership. More
