Went to Mini of Madison to check out a used Volkswagen that they had received on trade, and was very happy with the experience. Alicia, the salesperson I worked with, was great to talk to and showed a per that they had received on trade, and was very happy with the experience. The interior of the dealership is suitably funky and modern, and offered free beverages for the brief waits I encountered. I would highly recommend this dealer to my friends -- as a matter of fact, I already have. More
I bought a used car from Mini of Madison. The customer service while buying was great. However, when I got my car home tons of issues came up with the car. It's an 06 Mazda 3 hatch. It was my first "new" service while buying was great. However, when I got my car home tons of issues came up with the car. It's an 06 Mazda 3 hatch. It was my first "new" used car, so I was very excited to have it. 6 months later the struts are completely shot, which is a $700-1200 fix, the back brakes have only 30% left on them as well. The serpentine belt needs to be changed, I cannot even turn on my air or heat due to the loud squeak from the belt right now. It seems like they fixed it up just enough to make it appear in really good condition... not to mention after the first week I had it the engine light came on - and after about 7 attempts to fix it they finally did for free. Which I much appreciated although it was not the most convenient for me as I moved to Chicago and driving back from Chicago to Madison is not easy. Anyway - maybe buying a new car would be best from this dealer ...I have just had the worst luck with mine and now I drive it half falling apart. More

Today me and my father were looking for a vehicle for myself. We went in knowing basically what we wanted and were hoping for a reduced price of some sort. Kyle directed us to the car we wanted, and it h myself. We went in knowing basically what we wanted and were hoping for a reduced price of some sort. Kyle directed us to the car we wanted, and it had a nice discount since it was used as a loaner car. He took care of the paper work promptly, answered any and all questions (some we didn't even realize we wanted to ask!), and was extremely excited and passionate about his job. He seemed to love the cars, knew all sorts of facts and about the different features, and was extremely friendly and personable. He never made us feel pressured into buying the vehicle or any sort of extra features that we didn't really want/need. Kyle seems to be one of the friendliest and most excited salesmen I've met during my search for a car. Basically he did is job exceedingly well and I would definitely recommend his services to any friend of mine who is looking for a vehicle. More
The tailpipe of my fiance's 96 Nissan Altima rusted off the other day so I was looking for a car for her to drive. We needed something small, reliable in the Wisconsin snow, with a lot of safety features, the other day so I was looking for a car for her to drive. We needed something small, reliable in the Wisconsin snow, with a lot of safety features, easy on the gas, and FUN!!!! I was initially interested in the Hyundai Veloster but unfortunately due to Tsunami this car has been delayed and she needed it right not to get back and fourth from school. After browsing on the Madison dealer inventories I stumbled across a 2009 yellow mini convertible. Initially I wasn't thinking of a Mini because they are usually pretty expensive, but this one was only a couple years old and had just 20,000 miles on it and they had it listed at a very reasonable price near $21000. Obviously I wanted to see the car if only to test drive. Sent a note through the website to tell them I was interested in seeing the car. Within the hour Jeff Goldbaum contacted me to see if I could come in that night for a test drive. He put me in contact with Kyle Fetters. After seeing the car in person at the dealership my fiance was initially a bit nervous, because she knew if we test drove it we would definitely want to buy it and the dealer might not give us a good deal. Kyle the motoring adviser was very personable, asking a lot of questions about why we are interested in this type of car. He had a lot of knowledge in the features the car contained and explained why it was right for us. He also encouraged us to take a test drive. Even though it was very cold out he allowed us to drive around with the top down. This was after all one of the features we were most interested in. They heated seats were very comfortable in the front as we cruised around some scenic areas in Madison. Kyle never complained as his teeth chattered in the unheated back seat, but he was very enthusiastic when we decided to put the top back up. Back at Mini of Madison Kyle never pressured us to make a sale. He simply asked if we liked the car. He also asked if there was anything they could do so we could come to an arrangement. The price of the car was already reduced by a couple thousand compared to the blue book value of a similar vehicle in a lesser condition. Kyle realizing that these are tough economic times for many people around the world was willing to negotiate further. We named a price and he checked to see if it would be acceptable. After a few minutes he came back and we had a deal. A couple days later we came back to buy the car and we met with Daleena Fridono. She was also very friendly and personable. She had already gotten approval for our financing when we got there and she had several types of insurance like packages that we could option for inorder to protect our investment. I immediately saw the value in these packages, but my fiance was unsure. Daleena took the time to walk her through each one and highlighted all of the benefits that we would be able to take advantage of. Obviously Jenny was sold by this time. Later we got in our car Kyle went over all the many features that were in the car. He even hooked up my fiancee's blue tooth telephone. We drove off that day completely satisfied and very excited to drive around on a beautiful September Saturday in our 'new' Mini! More
I am from out of state, so I delt primarily with Kyle over the phone and online. He responded very quickly by both methods. He answered all of my questions directly and honestly. I pretty much knew what I wanted going in; Kyle listened to what I wanted and did everything in his power to make the deal work for me and save me time on Pick-up day. He has a great sense of humor and very knowledgeable about the Minis and all their little quirks. He did a great job going through all the buttons and togles for me and set up the clock and Satellite radio before I left. The test drive course at this dealership is much better than the option at my local dealer, and a lot of fun. It was a shame though since my Mini had just been detailed for me to take it home that we had to drive it out in the rain (no fault of Kyle's). This was definately not your typical car buying experience. I am very happy with the service I received and wish all car buying could be so easy. I am sad that Mini of Madison will not be my local service dealer. My loss. Good luck Kyle! Keep up the good work. More

Buying a car is probably one of the most stressful experiences I've ever had. So to say that buying my '11 Cooper S from Sean Schimmel at MINI of Madison was stress-free is a huge compliment. Never experiences I've ever had. So to say that buying my '11 Cooper S from Sean Schimmel at MINI of Madison was stress-free is a huge compliment. Never was I pressured. Never was I criticized for requesting a lower price. Never was I questioned for not wanting more options. Really, this guy was one of the friendliest car salesman I've met and a real credit to the MINI crew. Financing was super smooth as well. While I was offered the additional protection packages, when I said no I wasn't questioned. The dealership was spotless, the parts and service crew I met were just as friendly as Sean, and I imagine this will be a start of a beautiful friendship. Also, they didn't know this at the time, but my wife, who was with me through the process, was just as impressed as I was and will most likely be considering Countryman now when her time for a vehicle comes near. More
