I am a loyal customer of Lexus of Edison for almost 16 to 17 years. I was a customer even before I owned any Lexus vehicle because of a service advisor who moved from a Toyota dealership to Lexus of Edison a 17 years. I was a customer even before I owned any Lexus vehicle because of a service advisor who moved from a Toyota dealership to Lexus of Edison and because I liked his service and with his invitation I was servicing my Toyota Prius (imported from Japan) and my Toyota minivan, at Lexus of Edison and the service advisor will give me a Lexus as a loaner. Because of his influence, I bought a Lexus RX 450h in 2011 (when it was released) from this dealership and servicing that vehicle since then until now. I have seen many many management changes and every time there is a change I was not sure of the service level until I have a positive experience with the new management Since I was not using my Lexus RX 450h at all because of coviid, I did not visit the Lexus of Edison dealership for a while. Recently I took my Rx450h to the dealership which has fairly new management. Once again, I was unsure with this new management and I was candid with the service advisor Mr Mohamed Khader and his manager Mr Rino LaCerra about my uneasiness and about my past, not so good experiences. Mr Mohamed Khader was excellent in understanding my concerns, assured me of excellent service and stood up to his words. The whole process of check in, loaner arrangements, is flawless, quick and paperless. I was in and out under less than 5 min and I could not believe myself. I went straight to Mr Rino LaCerra, Service Director’s office and expressed the outstanding service offered by Mr Mohamed Khader and also their new way of modernized service which was quick (less than 5 min including loaner), almost no paper to sign, very efficient and very assuring. The reason I took my time to write this review is that in my experience with this dealership for the past 16 to 17 years, I have not seen this kind of excellence and they really rock. Arrived early service adviser Mohammed assured me service would be completed in a timely manner. Oil change was completed within one hour. Service was exceptional. I would not hesitate to return. I needed a fuel efficient vehicle because I was in an accident and my hybrid my was totaled. I researched cars and UX 250h seemed to be the best fit for me. I was unable to find the premium version in the SF Bay Area and found what I was looking for on auto trader at an Edison, NJ dealership. The advertisement stated the car could be shipped to my door. I called Edison and was informed that you don’t ship vehicles. Then I was given your policy that I would have to come in to sign all the paperwork and you do not allow auto shippers on your premises and you can not assist me in anyway of having the car shipped. I was shocked to learn about your antiquated business policy and practices, Especially since FORD dealerships overnight paperwork for signature and ships vehicles so customer don’t need to deal with the logistics. What is truly appalling to me is your website advertised monogram “buy your car your way,” we can ship to you; making car buying easy.“ I never had to work so hard to give you someone business. This is false advertising. Unfortunately I’m just a working stiff and couldn’t afford to lose my deposit because I wanted to walk away from this deal. It was the worst car buying experience! Your out of date policies, cost me extra time and money; the two things no one can afford to waste. When I shared my awful experience with my coworker he told me about dealer to dealer where you could have sent the car to my local dealer through a trade. This was something I didn’t know about and it was never offered to me. All I received was give me your money and get out! Shame on you! Edison boasts a luxury experience and yet there’s stains on the toilet seat in the women’s bathroom, that’s hardly luxurious! More

Brought my car in for an oil change Thursday 10/20/22 it is now Friday 10/21/22 and my car WILL NOT START. More issues literally the day after I brought it in than I had when I dropped it off. The car is making weird noises and there is oil leaking in my engine. Not to mention they tried to scam me on the price of diagnosing an issue with my wheel and heat. Was told one price when I dropped the car off and then got a text 3 hours later that they would need an extra 189.99 and an additional hour to diagnose any issues on top of the 189.99 I had agreed to pay for a diagnosis. DO NOT TRUST THEM will cause you extra issues and money. More

I was not allowed to finish speaking before others would cut me off or say what they wanted. I was not allowed to get a foot ahead in any sense of the word. The trade-in process was stressful, the financing process was stressful/scammy, the lack of knowledge on the part of the sales rep caused me several headaches with geico, ny-dmv, and taxation,. ** Financing manager gave me a horrible rate on a new car loan (5.99% on 60 months, with a clean credit of 860+ FICO) ** Financing manager would not let me finish asking questions without cutting me off and giving his own feedback on an unfinished question/statement. ** Finance manager tried to convince me that purchasing vehicle tire / wheel protection plans would somehow improve my credit worthiness and lower the rate. ** Financing manager did not provide closure on all agreed upon terms, was instead pre-occupied on the phone and handed me a few pieces of paper and said we're done. ** Financing manager / Sales Rep - I was called a week after I took delivery of the vehicle and already paid taxes/received my financing, to be told that I still owed over $1,000 in taxes, because the dealership had charged me NJ tax and not NY tax as they should have. This was a huge inconvenience for me to have to pay and put on a credit-card. ** I was contacted by Geico several times because my middle initial was included on paperwork when it should not have, which prevented registration, which caused several issues with Geico and NY-DMV. ** Sales Rep was uninformed about trade in process, vehicle registration process, insurance switching process, all which caused me a headache and affiliated costs. ** Sales rep unaware that insurance needs to be kept on vehicle till plates registered (hence switched over to new vehicle insurance, lapse in registration is a civil penalty + $8/day of lapse) ** Sales rep unaware that I can register temporary tags with EZ-Passs (causing me to get toll-by-mail violations and not being able to use my EZ-Pass). When I could have registered the temporary plates (tags) with my EZ-Pass and drove without issues. ** Sales rep unaware that I needed or would receive a 10 day temporary inspection sticker. ** Sales rep in general was not able to answer many of my questions. ** Used Car / Trade In Mgr was unable/unwilling to budge on trade-in value of vehicle. ** Used Car / Trade in Mgr tried to drop the agreed-upon price of the trade-in again close to finance-paperwork completion. ** Service Department was called and contacted several times about 2 concerns. I did not hear from them until I voiced dissatisfaction with Sales Rep, and I received a text 10 business days later, which still did not address my question or concern. More
