Today was my first visit to the Bob Moore Kia store. I test drove an Optima. I really like the car. The car has a lot of features and it is a great value. This review is updated after discussions with the dealer about my original review. I took my 06 Sedona in to have a Throttle Position Sensor put on and the associated software upgrade, after the issue wa about my original review. I told them this on the phone when I made the appointment, and described the problem I'd been having where the accelerator pedal periodically wouldn't rev the engine. I told them what I'd been told about there being a Technical Service Bulletin on this very issue for this van. When I took the car in, they had written up the ticket as though there was an undiagnosed problem, and mentioned several auxiliary items that I'd told them about, but no mention at all of the primary complaint--the gas pedal and the diagnosis of a bad TPS. I made them correct it. They then spent all day saying they were diagnosing, and calling me to tell me the car needed various repairs. I declined all. After all day, they said they needed to replace the TPS, just as I said, but they didn't have the part. They ordered it. When I went back, they continued to tell me stuff the car "needed," totaling over $2400. The actual repair I took it in for was $115. They also did find that an air intake hose was cracked, and quoted me $76.54 for the parts and 1.5 hours labor for a total of $232.28. I told two different service employees on two different occasions that the labor for that (simple to replace) part was too high, and twice they reiterated the cost. Once the service writer defended 1.5 hours labor (to replace a hose and two plastic bladders that clamp in on the very top of the engine) by saying, "well, it is three pieces." I declined their repair, then got the parts for a little less, and my husband, who is an amateur at best, was able to replace it in 10-15 minutes in our driveway. In talking to the dealer after the initial submission of this review, I'm told that the quote for 1.5 hours to replace the air intake hose was just an error in which the service man mistakenly folded in an hour of diagnostic time, so the real quote should have been for .5 hours of labor, for a total of about $131.54, almost $100 less than I was told, and still double or more the time it actually took to replace it. The mistake was reiterated and defended twice by service employees of the dealer when I questioned it at the time. Whether it was an intentional attempt to overcharge for labor or, as they contend, just a mistake, when you go to a professional and pay over $100 an hour for their time, you should be able to rely on what they tell you and not have to double check and second guess everything they tell you. I prefer to deal with businesses who communicate accurately and clearly, and you don't have to watch like a hawk to make sure you're getting the true story. Dealer management personnel have been exceedingly courteous in dealing with me as we discussed this review. More

We had a specific color interior and exterior that we wanted,i spoke with Kenneth they didn't have it but he said he would find it and sure enough about a week later he calls and says they had the exact car we we're looking for. we drove up he was waiting and the whole process was AWESOME!!! they gave me a fair price for my trade(something the first dealer had no concept of) and a great deal on our new KIA, but it didn't stop there, we had already gone to our bank but they said they could do better and you know what Carlos rocked it and got us a whole percent and a quarter off what our bank was offering us!!! They were always upfront, honest and made the whole process pleasant!! we our sending many friends their way for the purchase of a new car. the service department has been outstanding as well. car buying doesn't have to be a bad experience and Bob Moore Kia in Edmond has proved that to me and my family!! Thanks guys we love the Sorento and I guarantee you will see us in the future. More

He wasn't pushy (regardless of what "sales" training people get, we as consumers hate predatory salespersons), and I felt comfortable talking with him about what I liked and didn't like in the cars I drove. Great. Charlie did not "hassle" us. We told him what our plans were (to look at all our options first then decide) and he did not try to keep us at the dealership like the other places did. He showed us what we wanted, let us test drive and we were able to leave to look at our other options without being hassled. That showed us he was confident that we would be back, that he stood behind Kia's. We plan on going back soon to get another Kia and we will definitly deal with Charlie again. More
