Used cars offered have not been serviced at all. Staff is unfriendly and unprofessional. Sales manager is unfriendly and intimidating. Salespeople are dishonest. If you want to get suckered into paying blue book prices on vehicles which will not even pass state safety and emissions, then go to Karl Malone Toyota. They tricked me into buying a defective vehicle and then actively intimidated me when I tried to return it. More
I went in with my girlfriend to visit with Jeff Robinett to talk about a Toyota Tacoma that she wanted. She had put a $1000 on a truck to get it down to the dealership in Draper, Utah. As a first time car to talk about a Toyota Tacoma that she wanted. She had put a $1000 on a truck to get it down to the dealership in Draper, Utah. As a first time car buyer with exceptional credit he had a contract in hand explaining the gift of a 7.99% interest rate (with a $10000 down payment). Jeff explained that this was "a gift" and the Warren Buffet's of Karl Malone Toyota were "the only ones in the world that could pull this off." When I questioned the 7.99% APR and said it was high, to which Jeff agreed it was, Jeff went into divide and conquer mode. He immediately went on the attack with me and used all the dishonest sales tactics available. He tried to flatter my girlfriend and say that he trusted her and why should she not trust him. I became thoroughly disgusted with Jeff's behavior and when I told my girlfriend not to sign anything Jeff asked me what my problem was and implied I was a bad person or a jerk and was somehow trying to make myself look good... all the while destroying the deal of the century for my girlfriend. While my girlfriend continued to talk with Jeff I couldn't take any more of his blatant lies and walked out. He was just trying to pit me Vs her to get this sale. I could not deal with the totally unprofessional and unethical behavior. Luckily my girlfriend did not sign anything... although he made sure to have all the papers on the desk immediately when we looked at the car. We found a great late model used Tacoma at a good price at Mark Miller Subaru. The sales staff was very professional and listened to all of our concerns. There were no high pressure sales tactics and the staff evaluated many financing options. Not only did we do better than 7.99% but instead got a 2.84% APR loan. Jeff Robinett- YOU are the reason that salesmen get a bad name. In terms of predatory lending and lack of business ethics YOU are the face. Maybe I'll put your name up under the definition of "Predatory Lending" on Wikipedia- you deserve it! But in all seriousness Jeff, I truly think you are a deep down bad person. I wish you difficulties and sadness in your life so that you can experience what you put other people through. May God have mercy on your soul! More

Also Alex the finance guy underestimated the taxes by 200 dollars which I would like reimbursed on. When I told Mr. Jones I had filed a complaint with Toyota via text his texts became angry and stated an Amy would call me which she did. Every time I started to explain to Amy why I was unhappy she interrupted me loudly and talked over me to the point I hung up on her. When I bought the truck, Mr. Jones, Alex and especially Karl Malone were extremely helpful and friendly but as soon as I left the customer service stopped cold. Love the truck and after my initial service and window tint I was to be given I will not be back to this dealership. I was assured by the lady at Toyota that a person would be in touch within 3 business days and that was almost a week ago. Love my truck and Toyota products, but you need to get a handle on this problem. More

They said that they had a truckload coming and, lo and behold, what we wanted was on it's way. My husband signed paperwork with the understanding that we would not buy the vehicle if it had any noises/rattles as I have very sensitive hearing. "No problem". When the vehicle came in, we decided it was not what we wanted, yet they revealed that in the signed paperworks was a contract and we were stuck. To top it off, this vehicle is a lemon. Had problems startinga t 192 miles. 9 month nightmare. More
I went in looking for a new or used Toyota Tacoma. After I told the sales guy (I think his name was Mike) what I wanted he insisted we go for a test drive. I had driven the exact truck at a dealership only I told the sales guy (I think his name was Mike) what I wanted he insisted we go for a test drive. I had driven the exact truck at a dealership only two days previous so I said I did not need to do another test drive, but was looking for a particular color and trip package. He insisted we go for a test drive "cause his boss would get mad at him if we didn't" so I went. We then went back in and sat down at his desk. That is when the pressure tactics started. "Sign this form so we know you are serious and if we can find you the right car you will buy tonight" Really you want me to sign a form saying I agree to buy before we have even talked about price or trad-in value? Total pressure crap. He then took the keys to my 2002 Volvo XC70 that I wanted to trade and presented me with details on a truck with the right color but a trim package slightly different than what I wanted. When I asked about the differences, he had no knowledge of what a locking rear differential was and had to go consult a manager. When it became clear that the options I wanted were in a different trim package, I asked what the price difference would be and the salesman said "a couple thousand dollars" That is not true. While he was in getting the keys for the test drive, which I did not want to take, I looked at several different stickers and the price difference was actually $590. He said $2,000 likely because he did not want to try to locate another truck with the options I wanted and wanted to pressure me to buy the truck he had already located. Then came back their initial trade in offer, $600. Now I know dealers don't give a lot for trades, but I purchased my Volvo for $3,900 6 months previous and had been watching prices for 3 months before that. $3900 was by far the lowest, way below blue book and CarFax lowest price. This offer was not only offensive, but a thinly veiled attempt to rip me off. So, I wised up, called the salesman out on his BS and asked for my keys back. He initially would not give them to me and said I should talk to his manager. The manager came out, but without my keys and asked if there was anything he could do. At this point I got angry about them holding my keys hostage and said the only thing he could do was get my keys or things would get ugly. He finally got them and I walked out. I will never return and will tell everyone I know (I am fairly well known in the outdoors community in Utah) to never ever under any circumstances go to Karl Malone Toyota for any reason. More
I DO NOT recommend Karl Malone Toyota to anyone. This was the worse car buying experience in my life! I went in there looking for something that fit my budget as well as helped me establish and build my cred the worse car buying experience in my life! I went in there looking for something that fit my budget as well as helped me establish and build my credit. The sales guy was very sweet and helpful, but the buying experience was horrible. I went in on a Wednesday to trade my current car in as a down payment and they were all smiles and everything was fine. They put me in a car that they said would suit me, my budget, as well as help me establish credit. The next day, a Thursday, they called and said I was not approved for the financing and would have to come back for other options. Though I had fallen in love with the car they sent me home in, I was perfectly fine with finding something else. First, they told me that I needed a more expensive car with lower mileage. I was ok with that. Then, they tried pushing cars that i did not like, or want. When I finally found one that was within the guidelines, everything changed. They were not willing to work with my budget and were very rude when I explained why I could not afford what they were offering. I spent five hours on both Wednesday and Thursday and to no avail, I went home in the same car that I went in to trade for. The whole experience was a waste of time and a huge let down. More

Best dealership in the Salt Lake Valley. My wife and I have purchased 6 cars with them in the last 3 and half years and we have never been disappointed with any department. The parts, service, accessories have purchased 6 cars with them in the last 3 and half years and we have never been disappointed with any department. The parts, service, accessories department - ALL top notch. If you read a poor review they came from a competitor. They work for me every time and never dictate to me what or how things are going to be. Never buy from another dealer ever again. I dare say if I moved out of state, which I am not any time soon. I would come to see Karl's crew. THE BEST!! More
Blenda was so very helpful. She went out of her way to help our "unique" situation and took the time to make sure everything was fixed and up to wonderful standards. I would highly recommend people to go help our "unique" situation and took the time to make sure everything was fixed and up to wonderful standards.
