We can assure you that our vehicles are inspected, sent through our shop and well maintained before they are sold. The reason your vehicle was not inspected was because you purchased a "TOW AWAY" vehicle for $636.00 and it was sold "AS IS." This vehicle was sold with 100% knowledge that it had not been through our shop to be inspected. Papers were signed with this knowledge and since it needed several items fixed to receive license plates, you decided to purchase a second vehicle. We worked with you to purchase a second "TOW AWAY" and sold "AS IS" vehicle for $1946.69. Again this was sold with a signature on three different papers showing that the vehicle had not been through inspection. We did everything we could to make sure you knew exactly what type of vehicle you were purchasing. We are sorry that you did not find that satisfactory. We let you return the first vehicle and gave you money back for the second vehicle. We want you to know that we strive for excellence with each car we sell and do our best to fit our customer's needs. Our sales managers work to make sure each customer is satisfied and we regret that your encounter with him wasn't pleasing on your behalf. We hope your vehicle serves you well. Thank your for your business.

We are sorry that you felt the communication to you on our side of the aisle has been poor. We have done our best to keep clear lines of communication open with you. Our sales person Jon, Alex the finance manager and Krysta the finance secretary have contacted you several times concerning the unpaid down payment for your vehicle purchase. Toyota Customer Service called and was directed at your request to stop calling. Karl Malone Toyota was in communication with Toyota and let them know that we would be forced to continue to call because we hadn't received all the funds that you are responsible for. Toyota requested that we tried calling you again to take care of the unpaid balance. Karl Malone's Customer Relations Manager, Amy, called to discuss any concerns and found that the vehicle plates needed to be sent to the DMV. She sent the DMV plates that day. When she asked about the down payment, you hung up the phone. We regret that we haven't been able to finish business with you and that your experience didn't match your expectations. Our dealership appreciates your business and we hope you will begin to take our calls so that we can resolve the unpaid balance as quickly as possible.

Lisa and Lloyd were contacted by Amy Hind, Customer Relations Manager at Karl Malone Toyota, at the first of December regarding the issues they were having with their vehicle. There concerns were validated and they were offered assistance in anyway possible from Karl Malone Toyota. We were assured by Lloyd that the vehicle was running fine and they didn't have any concerns. Amy let them know that Toyota was contacted on their behalf to make sure their concerns were taken to the next level at Toyota. Toyota asked that the next time they had any concerns about their vehicle, the customer can have it towed to the nearest dealer and any parts can be ordered and installed. These particular customers drive their vehicle all over the United States. Karl Malone Toyota is aware of the strains this could have on any vehicle and is willing to put forth every effort to make sure all problems are taken care if any were to arise.

This response from Karl Malone Toyota is right in line with this Rav 4 purchase experience, disappointing. When you purchase a new vehicle, you assume you can drive it. It should be able to be driven "all over the United States" and beyond if we choose. HOWEVER, we cannot choose that, because the vehicle cannot be trusted. What the xxxx does " Karl Malone Toyota is aware of the strains this could have on any vehicle" mean???? Any vehicle should be able to be driven, especially a new vehicle. Toyota is supposedly such a trusted brand, yet this vehicle is not trustworthy AT ALL. If you cannot drive a new vehicle when and where you want, what the xxxx is the point of buying one? This vehicle was purchased in Utah, has been to Reno and Chicago; hardly "all over the United States". I have driven across country three times since purchasing this Lemon from Karl Malone Toyota. Not in this Lemon, Rav 4, but in a 2005 Buick with over 150,000 miles on it. A vehicle I trust to get me where I need to go. Now I have a Karl Malone Toyota Rav 4 that sits in it's parking space most of the time [when it is not on a tow truck or in a Toytoa service center.] Karl Malone has not done everything they can to make sure we are taken care of.
