Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE. Tried to give me a higher interest rate for more years then I was able to get on my own. Also tried to add on service warranty AFTER the contract was signed. Totally un prof interest rate for more years then I was able to get on my own. Also tried to add on service warranty AFTER the contract was signed. Totally un professional. Nasty and not respectful to their customer. More
These guys are a joke!!! I bought an FJ from them last year and my wife decided she wanted a Highlander instead. I took the car in and thought I'd get treated well because I was a repeat customer - WRONG. year and my wife decided she wanted a Highlander instead. I took the car in and thought I'd get treated well because I was a repeat customer - WRONG. The finance guy who worked me (his name is TY) oversold and was very pushy telling me that they were making no money on my deal. We gave them a down payment and told them we'd pick up the car and get the contract done the next day. Feeling un-easy with the pushy finance guy (his name is TY - I'll say it again!!), I decided to call Mark Miller Toyota who I've never done business with in the past. Telling the sales rep what I wanted out of my trade and what I was willing to pay for the car, I got a deal for $850 less and 1.9% financing (BTW TY at Karl Malone was giving me 2.9% - BTW, Toyota is offering the 1.9% on Highlanders - so he was screwing me on that as well). When I went into Karl Malone and told them the deal was off, Ty went crazy - gave the the I'm going to kick your butt look, demanded respect, went off yelling through the dealership - totally not what I expected or deserved being a return customer. He even told the sales rep to ask me for some compensation money since I wasted his time - I'm not kidding. WHO ARE THESE IDIOTS???? I live close to the Karl Malone store but bought my car 20 miles away at Mark Miller and will also do my service there. You will not see my shadow, or my family's shadow darken their doors - EVER!! BTW, I ususally buy 1-2 new cars each year. I've mostly bought Honda's but I've been leaning toward Toyota as of late. Not only did Karl Malone miss out on a $34K Highlander deal, but before the end of this year, I'm also going to buy a $35K Avalon - FROM MARK MILLER. Eat me TY!!! You shouldn't be working around the public - you need to see a doctor for your anger. More
I inquired online about a new Toyota Sienna. Here's Duane's reply: "4 cyl Base model Sienna With floor mats $25084 ttl plus $550 in shipping. Could have it here for you by late next week." I resp Duane's reply: "4 cyl Base model Sienna With floor mats $25084 ttl plus $550 in shipping. Could have it here for you by late next week." I responded that I needed a roof rack on that vehicle, his response: "It would cost $1250 to install the roof rails. The way that we proceed in a situation like this is to first be on agreement on the numbers. Once we are in agreement on the numbers the dealership will require a $1500 non-refundable deposit... Once the dealership has the deposit, we procure the vehicle, meaning confirming availability. The one I mentioned is on the ground, but we have not called to check availability or lock it in. When would you have some time to stop by and tie up the details?" Never mind the quote for the roof rack. I won't even dignify that response. But notice in the first response, Duane says he can get me the vehicle, "by late next week". In the next message, he doesn't know that he can get the vehicle but will check AFTER I give him a $1500 dollar NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. Reread my last sentience. How is this dealership in business? With all the competition in this valley, you'd be wise to steer clear of Duanne Cottle and Karl Malone Toyota. More
Daughter and son-in-law got a great deal on a vehicle, we were so excited for them. . . until after the sale. They can’t get the title to the state they need it sent to so that they can license. Was told by were so excited for them. . . until after the sale. They can’t get the title to the state they need it sent to so that they can license. Was told by the dealership that they had to license and title in Utah for the first year and then could go to another state. Never heard of that before. Kids are only going to school in Utah until November so why would you want to license in Utah only to return to your home state in 7 months. It’s been almost 1 month to the day and the title still isn’t in Idaho. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT USE YOUR DEBIT CARD FOR THE DOWN PAYMENT. An additional 1500.00 was taken out of son-in-laws account with no justification as to why and was promised to be refunded that day so as not to overdraft his account. By 3 pm the following day the money had not been refunded and the last response from Karl Malone was that it would take 2 or 3 days. Well then write a check and make it right!!!! but don’t make us wait days to refund that money when it was your fault to begin with!!! More
I called and explained what I was looking for and when I arrived there were three trucks lined up for me to look at. I drove all three and decided to look at a fourth one. Keep in mind it is a cold Januar arrived there were three trucks lined up for me to look at. I drove all three and decided to look at a fourth one. Keep in mind it is a cold January night but they were patient with me and helped find the truck I wanted and the price was lower than I expected. Great service and good people that I dealt with. More
I would definitely not recommend this dealership. I purchased two vehicles from them in August 2004. I was happy with one (although i think I paid a bit too much for the car). The second car was purcha purchased two vehicles from them in August 2004. I was happy with one (although i think I paid a bit too much for the car). The second car was purchased after the promise of the salesperson being able to fit it into my price range. I bought the cars towards the closing time that night. I asked them about a return policy. The salesman chuckled and told me that i did not want to do that. After sleeping on it, I decided to try to take back the second car anyways. I also looked online for the price of the second car. I found out that it was advertised as 4,000 dollars cheaper than the price on the lot. I felt that i had to go down there to talk with them. I also had to surrender the title of my vehicle to them in order to complete the sale. I called them and explained what I wanted to do. They merely told me to come into the store and talk to salesperson. I went into the store to talk to him later in the afternoon. He told me that i could not return the car. I asked him to give me my vehicle back, and he told me no. I told him that i would not surrender my title to the dealership. His response was that they would sue me. I left the dealership after the guy offered me a 20 dollar gas card. A few days later, I met an ex employee from Karl Malone toyota. This employee helped my situation by getting me into a nicer car for less money at another dealership. He also helped me with dealing with Karl Malone Toyota. He gave me the number to the GM of the dealership. The GM threatened to sue me in the conversation. The last thing I wanted to mention is that you ought to do your homework. Look online and at the lot before you consider buying from this dealership. In my case, I did not find out the price difference online as opposed to the lot until after i bought the car. I would also suggest that you go to Menlove or another dealership in town because they were much more friendly and helpful. More
